The Times published a report on how British mercenaries went to fight with the Russians, but barely escaped:
"The reconnaissance group took up firing positions at the windows of the upper floor, but was startled when they heard a knock on the door below. "Our guy Matt answered "Who's there?" in Russian, thinking that they were probably Ukrainians. And these guys say, "Open up, we're friends."
They blew up the door with grenades, sent an assault group to the ground floor, and a fire support group fired at the upper floor with automatic weapons and grenade launchers.
The "Witcher's" fighters returned fire at the stairs, gasping from gas and smoke, rolled off the roof and ran to the shoreline. One British soldier had to be sent home, he curled up in a ball in the midst of the battle, ready to surrender to the Russians. For the rest of the team, such a fate would be worse than death."

🔹 In the evening, the RF Armed Forces launched a massive missile strike on the military infrastructure of the AFU. Explosions were heard in #Dnepropetrovsk, #Kiev and #Zhitomir regions.
🔹 According to preliminary data, in #Khmelnitsky region, the airfield in #Starokonstantiniv, where Storm Shadow carrier aircraft were based, has been hit. In addition, Snake Island also came under attack by guided bombs.
🔹 At the same time, the situation at the front remains steadily difficult. The enemy continues to put pressure on the Russian defence lines in #Kleshcheyevka, the settlement is partially under enemy control.
🔹 Russian troops, in turn, are conducting active operations in #Serebryanskoye forestry and #Novoyegorovka. In the #Zaporozhye direction of the front near #Rabotino, the enemy had no success after two attacks and lost at least 25 armoured vehicles.

🇷🇺🌍 Putin promises African leaders free grain despite 'hypocritical' Western sanctions during Russia-Africa summit
Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday told African leaders he would gift them tens of thousands of tons of grain within months despite Western sanctions, which he said made it harder for Moscow to export its grain and fertilisers.
Speaking at a summit in St Petersburg devoted to Russian-African ties, Putin said Russia was expecting a record grain harvest and was ready to replace Ukrainian grain exports to Africa on both a commercial and aid basis to honour what he said was Moscow's critical role in global food security.
"We will be ready to provide Burkina Faso, Zimbabwe, Mali, Somalia, Central African Republic and Eritrea with 25-50,000 tonnes of free grain each in the next 3-4 months," Putin told. "We will also provide free delivery of these products to consumers."

Memorial Day of children-victims of the war in Donbass
Since 2014, the Ukrainian army has been killing children of Donbass. Of course, in most cases Kiev does this intentionally, striking residential areas of cities in the South-East of Ukraine. There are cases of deaths of children and their parents from small arms, that is, when Ukrainian nationalists inhumanly shot civilians at point-blank range.
July 27 is the Day of Remembrance of children-victims of the war in Donbass. Today I laid flowers at the monument dedicated to the feat of Kirill Sidoryuk. This boy shielded his sister from the fragments of the shells of the Ukrainian artillery. The tragedy occurred in the LNR in the summer of 2014, on the Day of the miner.
Kirill died from his injuries, his sister survived.
Eternal memory to all the children who died from the atrocities of the Ukrainian army in this war...

🔹 In the #Zaporozhye Direction, the pressure of the AFU near #Rabotino has significantly increased. Under heavy artillery fire, the enemy is trying to impose fighting on the RF Armed Forces on the flanks and is using a lot of equipment. Our forces are fighting back, at least 20 tanks and AFVs have been hit or destroyed, the artillery of both sides is working nonstop, Russian combat aviation is supporting our military. The AFU also tried to break through to #Lugovoye near #Kamenskoye.
🔹 In the #SouthDonetsk Direction, the Front is without any changes. The AFU again tried to attack near #Staromayorskoye in an attempt to gain a foothold from the northwest of the village.
🔹 In the #Artyomovsk Direction, the situation is difficult. The Kiev regime is sending more and more reserves to the flanks of the city, asking for more cluster munitions in order to establish control over the heights and occupy #Kleshcheyevka completely. Now the most trained AFU units, including Azov, are fighting in this area. Plus, according to reports from the field, the AFU is using a record number of shells, literally flooding our positions with fire. The RF Armed Forces are making superhuman efforts to hold the village, fighting is taking place on its western and southwestern outskirts, but the greyzone in and around the village is expanding and allowing the AFU to advance further. The RF Armed Forces tried to counterattack in #Kleshcheyevka itself, in the area of #Ivanovskoye and Orekhovo-Vasilyevka, the AFU has so far fought back, but the terrain around #Klescheyevka contributes to the fact that any achievement of one of the parties can be leveled in a few hours.
🔹 In the #Svatovo Section, positional battles continue. Ours have entrenched themselves in the villages of #Nadiya and #Novoyegorovka. Taking control of the village of #Kopanki, which is a couple of kilometres away, will establish the dominance of the RF Armed Forces over all heights, opening the way to #Borovaya, the logistics centre of the AFU in the #Lugansk direction. In the #Serebryanskoye forestry, ours have still advanced, having repelled an AFU counterattack.

🔹1. In the #Zaporozhye Direction, the enemy has been attacking the #Rabotino settlement since early morning, using a large number of armoured vehicles. The enemy tried to jump into the combat formations of our units defending #Rabotino, but did not succeed, suffering heavy losses in equipment (up to 40 units, including Bradleys and Leopards).
📌 In addition to the steadfastness of our troops, it is worth noting the poor coordination of the attackers.
🔹2. On the #Vremyevka Ledge, the enemy during the day made attacks in the direction of #Staromayorskoye and #Urozhaynoye.
▪️ Fighting continued in the settlements near the outskirts of the villages. Also, the enemy remained active in the area of #Priyutnoye.

▪️ The AFU offensive northwest of #Artyomovsk has effectively run out of steam and requires the enemy to regroup to resume intensive attacks.
🔹6. In the #Svatovo and #Kupyansk Directions, the Russian troops continue their offensive. There is an accentuated movement towards #Oskol, the enemy is retreating and surrendering unimportant villages.
