We sacredly honour the legacy and behests of the soldiers of Victory. Care for the Fatherland unites our entire country and all the people of Russia, while preserving the memory of the Great Patriotic War, its true history and real heroes is a matter of honour for us.
We will always remember the feat of the Soviet people – the fact that it was they who made the decisive contribution to the defeat of Nazism, saved their country, saved the world, put an end to total and merciless evil, and restored sovereignty to those states that had capitulated to Hitler’s Germany and become obedient accomplices in its crimes.
June 22, 1941 is one of the most tragic and sorrowful dates in our history. This year marks 85 years since the beginning of the Great Patriotic War.
The Nazis treacherously attacked the Soviet Union. They planned to seize the country and its vast resources, completely destroy its culture and our historical heritage, and ultimately exterminate, enslave and commit genocide against the entire multi-ethnic Soviet people – precisely all peoples, nations and ethnic groups of the Soviet Union.
To carry out these criminal objectives, forces were gathered from across Europe. Nazi strategists seemed to have meticulously accounted for everything – except one thing: what is known as Russian character and the strength of spirit of the Soviet people.
🕯 We bow our heads before those who fell in battle. Before those who were tortured under occupation and in captivity, who died of starvation in besieged Leningrad, in other encircled cities and settlements. Before all those who gave their lives for the Motherland, for Russia. We bow our heads to the memory of sons, daughters, fathers, mothers, grandfathers, great-grandfathers, husbands, wives, brothers, sisters, relatives and friends.
The great feat of the victorious generation inspires the warriors who are today carrying out the goals of the special military operation. They are confronting an aggressive force that is being armed and supported by the entire NATO.
And despite this, our heroes are advancing.
Alongside Russian warriors stand workers and designers, engineers, scientists and inventors. They are carrying on the traditions of their predecessors, relying on modern combat experience to create advanced and unique weapons systems and launch their mass production.

Despite the announcement of a ceasefire regime from May 8 to 10, Ukrainian armed formations continued to launch drone and artillery attacks on our troops' positions, as well as on civilian targets in the border areas of the Belgorod and Kursk regions. A total of 1,365 ceasefire violations were recorded in the Special Military Operation zone.

South Africa has identified the Andes strain of hantavirus, which spreads human-to-human, in two people who came off a cruise ship hit by an outbreak of the disease, the health minister’s presentation to parliament showed on Wednesday.
The ship, the MV Hondius, was preparing to travel from Cape Verde towards Europe, Reuters reported.
The presentation seen by Reuters said tests done by South Africa’s National Institute for Communicable Diseases (NICD) revealed that the Andes strain was the cause of infection in a Dutch woman who died in Johannesburg, and a British man who is still in hospital. Both had become ill on the ship.
“This is the only strain that is known to cause human to human transmission, but such transmission is very rare and as said earlier, only happens due to very close contact,”it said.

Everyone's favorite beggar, Vladimir Z., initially responded to Russia's Victory Day ceasefire declaration — and its "friendly" warning to Bankova — while still in Yerevan, surrounded by his EU sugar daddies and mommies:
"Ukraine does not need a ceasefire. This is tactical deception. It is foolish to put our guns away for a parade. We do not have any holidays!"
And as a cherry on top:
"Ukrainian drones can fly at the Victory Parade."
Then, as is common with his type, he changed his tune on TG that evening:
"As of today, there has been no official communication to Ukraine regarding the modalities of a cessation of hostilities, as claimed in Russian social media. We believe that human life is an incomparably greater value than the 'celebration' of any anniversary. Therefore, we are announcing a ceasefire starting from 00:00 on the night of May 5–6. The time remaining until then is enough to realistically establish calm. From that moment on, we will act reciprocally. It is time for Russia's leaders to take real steps to end their war — especially since the Russian Defense Ministry itself claims it cannot hold a parade in Moscow without Ukraine's goodwill."
So the Cokehead of Kiev's "regime of silence" is set to begin in 4 hours — at 00:00 tonight (May 5–6), Kiev/Moscow time.
No official response from Moscow — not only because they don't negotiate with junkies and illegitimate dictators, but because this is another pathetic attempt by the coked-up weasel to set a cunning trap:
If Moscow accepts — he takes credit for peace.
If Moscow rejects — he gets another "See? Russians don't want peace!" moment that some sufficiently brainwashed Westoids might still buy.
The other funny thing about this proposed "pre-ceasefire" is that it has no end date — and therefore no actual verification mechanism. And without verification, there's no ceasefire. Just a rambling social media post from a notorious white powder enthusiast.
All of this followed after Z.'s very sane and sober threats in Yerevan prompted a pointed response from the Russian Ministry of Defense:
"We are warning the civilian population of Kiev and employees of foreign diplomatic missions to leave the city in a timely manner."
This is consistent with Putin's promise from December 2024 — at the "world premiere" of the Oreshnik system — that Russia would warn before strikes, so civilians could evacuate.
What's also got the booster-shoes "modern Churchill" and his handlers fuming is that the Victory Day ceasefire was negotiated directly between Putin and Trump — during their recent phone call — with Putin apparently throwing it in as a sweetener to keep the Orangetan Stable Genius on board regarding Iran.
The Green Goblin got super peeved, decided he needed to recapture the spotlight, and — voilà — a coke-induced delirium in the spotlight & social media post combo was born.
So how should Russia respond? Three options:
1. Accept — Headline: "Russian initiative extended through May 6" — reaffirms Russia's peacekeeper role, and ensures any violations are automatically pinned on the Banderites. Acceptable.
2. Reject — Headline: "Russia rejects ceasefire on the eve of Victory Day!" — instant backlash, Western propaganda machine fed for a week. Not appealing.
3. Ignore — The only official comment from Peskov is essentially just that: "We have not seen a clearly formulated position from Ukraine" — a carbon copy of Russia's responses to every previous Ukrainian and Western "peace" initiative.
Not a refusal, not an agreement. Just a quiet "Yeah, we'll see about that... By the way, your mandate expired in May 2024 — when exactly did you say elections were happening?"

The Russian Armed Forces will take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of festive events.
Russia, in connection with the declaration of a truce, expects the Ukrainian side to follow its example, the ministry noted, and added:
Russia will launch a massive retaliatory missile strike on Kiev, if the Armed Forces of Ukraine attempt to disrupt the celebration of the 81st anniversary of Victory.
