"I thank Germany and Chancellor Friedrich Merz personally for this joint step <…>. We were preparing this air defense reinforcement for some time, and now the agreements reached have been fulfilled," he stated.
"We need to be prepared for the possibility of a power outage for a day, two days, or even a week while restoration work is underway," said former Energy Minister Ivan Plachkov.

▪️ Intense fighting is ongoing in the Sumy direction, with no significant advances noted. In the Bryansk region, the enemy struck harder than usual during the week, targeting civilians. Poor media coverage and the reaction of regional authorities caused dissatisfaction among the peaceful residents. Strikes on the Belgorod region continued; the enemy is hitting not only the civilian population but also infrastructure facilities: at the beginning of the week, flooding was reported due to the dam of a reservoir being hit, and power supply facilities were also under fire from the AFU. In the Kharkov direction, slow progress is being made in previously active areas, which, due to the use of drones by the AFU, does not yet allow us to speak of a “security zone” near our borders. In Kupyansk, our forces are operationally encircling the enemy in the city and on the banks of the Oskol River; the Supreme was also ready to allow foreign journalists into Kupyansk (as well as Pokrovsk and Mirnograd) so they could see the dire situation of the AFU for themselves. However, Kiev rejected this humanitarian initiative, dooming its garrisons to capture or destruction. Unnoticed by the Russian information field, our forces approached Krasny Lyman, previously abandoned during the retreat. In the Seversk direction, the city is being semi-encircled from the north and south. Fighting is ongoing in the suburbs of Kostantivka, which after the fall of Pokrovsk may become the main focus of efforts. The “Vostok” group in the east of the Dnepropetrovsk and Zaporozhye regions continues to show the highest rates of advance, capturing several more villages. On the Zaporozhye front, after our forces entered Mala Tokmachka, the AFU are dispersing on the heights near Orikhov. Fighting in Prymorsk and Stepnohirsk continues and has taken on a positional character.
▪️ At Russia’s borders with the EU, the noisiest countries during the week were the Baltics, which stirred up military hysteria over tobacco smugglers’ balloons. Nevertheless, the demonstrative “drone phobia” has already led to the Bundeswehr supplying thousands of UAVs to Lithuania. Trump, focusing on confrontation with China, is finishing off the EU countries’ economies, forcing them to expand their military budgets and pay for the anti-Russian military hysteria themselves. The most active in military preparations on the Russian front were Poland and the Baltics.
▪️ Thus, Moscow continues to seek the military liberation of the DPR at least. At the same time, the successes of the Russian Army on other parts of the front are still depleting the enemy’s manpower reserves, which, however, due to modern war technologies, cannot lead to simultaneous deep breakthroughs of the front. The situation, both military and political, does not yet favor peace negotiations, like those recently cancelled by Trump.

NATO troops will have to travel for weeks to Ukraine to come to the aid of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Euractiv reports.
The deployment of troops across Europe will take considerable time due to bureaucratic procedures and restrictions on the movement of heavy equipment.
To cross the border, troops will need separate diplomatic permission from each country. In some cases, transit notification must be submitted 45 days in advance.
However, the European Commission plans to accelerate military mobility. Countries on the EU's eastern flank are demanding that troop deployments take several days or even hours.

Ukrainians are monetizing the Pokrovsk disaster.
A number of major Ukrainian Telegram channels, together with the "Development of Our City" foundation, are seizing the opportunity to make money and have launched a fundraiser for evacuation trucks for encircled Ukrainian Armed Forces units in Pokrovsk. They accompanied the posts with tearful videos of wounded Ukrainian soldiers being evacuated.
Interestingly, the "Development of Our City" charitable foundation is involved in criminal cases in connection with large-scale fraud (drone fraud).
Therefore, the chances of the raised funds reaching the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers are extremely slim.

⚡️Two Majors #Overview #Summary for the morning of November 2, 2025
▪️ The past week was marked by frequent mentions of the word "nuclear" in the media. Trump decided to resume nuclear weapons testing, Russia informed the whole world about successful tests of the "Burevestnik" and "Poseidon," and the IAEA is recording the cutting off by Russian Armed Forces strikes of the backup substations and power lines from the remaining nuclear power plants in Ukraine. Gradually, the nuclear hysteria, which previously seemed unthinkable, is again being used by politicians to create advantageous negotiating positions. Only by November 2025 has this ceased to be just statements and has taken on the character of practical tests (so far – only Russian nuclear weapon carriers).
▪️ The Russian Armed Forces have seriously engaged in depriving the former Ukrainian SSR of power generating capacities. Machine halls of power plants are being destroyed; relatively rare hypersonic "Kinzhal" missiles were not spared for strikes on them. The enemy is gradually introducing rolling blackouts and supply schedules, trying to increase the remaining capacities. Nevertheless, to achieve a complete blackout, they still have to keep hitting.
▪️ The enemy responds in kind: last night, a UAV attack damaged a tanker and an oil terminal in Tuapse, with reports of a fire. The enemy's targets also remain refineries and oil depots, as well as power plants. While a decision to involve previously contracted reservists for guarding facilities as part of the Territorial Defense Forces is being processed, the bureaucratic wheel must turn. Meanwhile, in the absence of effective military communication between Territorial Defense Forces, in the Krasnodar region where UAV arrivals were noted last night, Telegram was slowed down all week, and the national messenger also worked intermittently. Such political management decisions, including those motivated by non-competitive messenger rivalry, are clearly premature when it comes to organizing air defense work.
▪️ On the front, the main event is the collapse of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' defense in Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk). Months of intense fighting led to the exhaustion of the Ukrainian garrison, which was almost completely cut off from supplies. During the week, a report from the Chief of the General Staff to the Supreme Commander was discussed; the essence of the public discussion boiled down to whether the enemy's encirclement in the city could be called complete or if it was still operational in nature with the entire enemy logistics under fire control. Anticipating the inevitable catastrophe, Zelensky ordered the GUR helicopter assault deployed to the front line, which was destroyed in the first hours after landing. Eleven Ukrainian special forces soldiers died for a headline in the Western press. Attempts by the AFU to counterattack north of Pokrovsk at the base of the salient in Dobropillia were indeed intense: both sides concentrated their largest contingents in this direction. Nevertheless, it became finally clear during the week: Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad will soon inevitably become Krasnoarmeysk and Dimitrov again.

⚡️Two Majors #Summary as of the morning of November 1, 2025
🏭 The destruction of Ukraine's energy sector has become a military-political objective in recent weeks. It is clear that strikes on enemy power plants are finally substantial and aimed at disabling key facilities. The defeat of outgoing power lines at the enemy's remaining nuclear power plants has become important, with power units reducing capacity. Some of the remaining operational thermal power plants are increasing electricity production to compensate for losses. However, this also rapidly wears out the system. Systematic strikes are also being carried out on mobile railway rolling stock and depots. It remains to be hoped that the strikes will not stop, as Kiev continues to hit our power generation facilities.
▪️ At night, the enemy announced a massive launch of UAVs, greatly exaggerating the scale. By midnight, 34 UAVs were reported shot down over the Belgorod region, 2 UAVs over Crimea. 4 drones were shot down over the Tula and Voronezh regions. 5 UAVs were shot down en route to Moscow. In the Rostov region, drones were intercepted in the Verkhnyedonsk, Millerovo, and Chertkov districts.
▪️ In the Bryansk region, a drone attacked an agricultural holding in Khoromnoe, Klimovsky district, injuring an employee. A moving vehicle was hit in the village of Chausy, Pogarsky district, wounding a civilian.
▪️ On the Sumy front, assault groups of the Northern Marine Brigade advanced about 150 meters through forest strips near Andreevka, consolidating positions. Our artillery struck Ukrainian forces near Iskrikovshchina on the Tetkinsky and Glushkovsky front sectors.
▪️ In the Belgorod region, drone strikes in Shebekino, Belyanka, Grayvoron, Dunayka, Pochaevo, Malinovka, Krasny Oktyabr, and on the Sankovo-Dorogosh road.
▪️ On the Kharkov front, the Northern Marine Brigade in Volchansk and surroundings made significant advances on the left bank of the Volchya River. Our group also reports progress in the Sinelnikovsky forest. On the Melovoe-Khatne front sector, our forces are advancing in forested areas.
▪️ Urban fighting continues in Kupyansk. An operation is underway to completely cut off the enemy garrison's logistics and ability to exit the city.
▪️ On the Krasnoliman front, our troops approached the suburban settlement of Maslyakovka, engaging in battles. The very beginning of the battle for Krasny Liman, previously abandoned by our troops during retreat, is quietly unfolding in the information space.
▪️ In Pokrovsk (Krasnoarmeysk), due to the difficult situation of the AFU and severe logistical problems for the enemy, Zelensky is conducting a PR stunt by deploying a special forces unit (about 10 people) of the Main Intelligence Directorate by helicopter into the industrial zone. However, footage was handed over to the Western The Economist for a headline about a “counteroffensive” that simply cannot be happening at that location. Meanwhile, Russian forces have consolidated along Zashchitnikov Ukrainy Street and in the Yuzhny and Shakhtyorsky neighborhoods. Fighting is ongoing in the northwest, central, northern, and eastern parts of the city, on the western outskirts, and westward towards the railway.
▪️ Another settlement was taken in the Dnepropetrovsk region: the Eastern Marine Brigade liberated Novoaleksandrovka, located less than 10 km southeast of Pokrovsk - an important defensive node for Ukrainian forces.
▪️ On the Zaporozhye front, Russian forces are striking the enemy “from behind” near Orekhovo with Lancet drones: the enemy is occupying positions on heights near the settlement after our breakthrough into Malaya Tokmachka.
▪️ Enemy strikes on the Kherson region have resulted in 170,000 residents in ten municipal districts temporarily losing power. A civilian was wounded in Velikaya Lepetikha. Ukrainian forces are striking Alekhski, Ivanovka, Kakhovka, Knyaze-Grigoryevka, Kokhany, Malaya Lepetikha, Novaya Kakhovka, Korsunka, and Proletarka. Our forces are retaliating by pounding the enemy shore.
