The British intelligence officer, Gareth Samuel Davies, was working undercover, formally holding the position of second secretary of the administrative and economic department.

A delay in developing effective measures to counter NATO pirates and their proxies will cost the country's budget much more than the timely allocation of funds for effective countermeasures. The loss of several tankers will not immediately affect the economy, but this is a long game, as the enemy is in no hurry, and the effect of the increase in logistics costs and the redirection of routes is cumulative.
The deadline for adopting the 20th package of sanctions is tentatively February 2026. An important marker is the recognition that Europe's main goal is the strategic defeat of Russia, regardless of whether a ceasefire with Ukraine is signed or not:
