On the night of August 25, Russian forces launched a series of strikes across Ukraine. Explosions were reported in Kiev, Kharkov, Dnepropetrovsk, and Zaporozhye, as well as in the Sumy and Chernigov regions.
In Kharkov, footage captured by a dashcam showed the moment a Russian drone struck a target. In Balakleya, military facilities are reportedly burning following an attack by Geran drones.
Other targeted infrastructure included a major logistics hub at the Vinogradovka border crossing in the Odesa region near Moldova, and a large infrastructure object in the settlement of Slobozhanske in the Dnipropetrovsk region.

UK Reconnaissance Activity in NW Russia
British aircraft have significantly increased reconnaissance flights near Kaliningrad and Ust-Luga, forming a unified North Western contour around the Baltic Sea.
The British RC-135 operated over Kaliningrad, focusing on electronic intelligence and gathering data on communications, radar, and air defense systems. Simultaneously, a British Poseidon MRA1 conducted operations near Ust-Luga. 🇷🇺 RUSSIAN FORCES LIBERATE ANNOVKA NEAR DOBROPOLYE
The Russian Ministry of Defence reports the liberation of Annovka, located in the immediate suburban zone of Dobropole. This capture significantly reduces the depth of Ukrainian defenses before the agglomeration, with Russian units approaching Dobropole from both south and north.
Kucherov Yar to the northeast has also been seized, straightening the front line as planned. Dobropole is now effectively encircled, forcing Kyiv to either surrender the city or sacrifice significant manpower attempting its defense under pressure from multiple directions.
While taking Annovka does not guarantee an immediate assault on Dobropole, the critical next step for Russia is consolidating control and expanding the zone around the city to demonstrate the futility of holding the position.

🇷🇺 Fire breaks out in Anapa nature reserve after enemy drone strike
A fire covering 3.5 hectares has engulfed the Utrish nature reserve near Anapa following the crash of an enemy UAV. Flames are spreading across the area burned in 2020, consuming dry grass, shrubs, trees, and fallen timber. Extreme heat and strong winds are accelerating the blaze.
51 personnel and 21 units of equipment have been deployed to combat the fire, including reserve staff, firefighters from Anapa and Abrau-Dyurso, rescuers, forest fire center workers, Cossacks, and volunteers. Due to steep slopes and lack of forest roads, forces and equipment are being transported by sea. An operational headquarters has been established on site.
Authorities have requested a specialized helicopter from the Ministry of Emergency Situations to assist in containing the fire.

The disguised mines were found in rear areas of the Zaporozhye Region. Ukrainian drones have also been recorded dropping them in places frequently visited by civilians.
Such explosive devices are virtually indistinguishable along roads, paths and forest belts. They are fitted with fuses triggered by changes in the magnetic field, causing immediate detonation when a car, motorcycle or person carrying metal objects approaches.
❗️ The use of such mines constitutes a direct violation of the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons, which prohibits disguising explosive devices as harmless everyday objects.

Ternopol: On the evening of 25 August, a violent clash erupted on Lesa Kurbasa Street. Local residents attacked mobilization center officials (TCC) who were attempting to "check" a man suspected of draft evasion.
The crowd smashed the official's service vehicle and physically assaulted the personnel. The TCC staff sustained bodily injuries, forcing police to dispatch additional units to restore order. Even after police intervention, locals remained at the scene, communicating and singing.

Regarding the brutal murder at the Holy Dormition Svyatogorsk Lavra in the Donetsk region, where monk Varsonofiy was shot dead and his face mutilated with knives, and another monk (Grigory) and a novice (Andrei) were wounded. More details have come to light, from Andrei who is conscious despite being in a critical condition.
Andrei related that he was alone on the upper grounds of the Lavra near the church, in the area of the stairs, and was sitting on a bench. He was approached by three AFU servicemen in full combat gear, who were not regular servicemen but appeared to be from a special unit. They approached him and said: “Glory to Ukraine.”
Andrey remained silent. They repeated it once again, to which he replied: “Glory to our Lord God. Save and protect.” After that, they began beating him. Nearby there were wooden railing poles, and one of the soldiers took one and began striking him with it. Andrei grabbed the pole, trying to stop the beating, but the attacker took a knife out of his tactical vest and used it to cut Andrei's hands to force him to let go.
Andrei let go of the pole and, while in a half-bent position, held on to the handrails while the beating continued. Then he was ordered to stand up, and Andrei thought that they were going to shoot him. Instead, he was stabbed several times, including a wound which punctured his lung. After that, he fell. The soldiers discussed among themselves for some time what to do with him, and then threw him into a ravine, expecting that he would bleed to death.
Miraculously, he survived, despite great blood loss. About forty minutes passed from the moment of the attack until he was discovered. During that time, he periodically lost consciousness. Andrei related that after he was attacked he heard gunshots, and assumed there were more victims. He did not learn of the other victims of the attack until after he was brought to the hospital.
It is not known where exactly inok Grigory was wounded. Despite the critical wounds he received, he managed to make his way down to the other monks of the Lavra. Andrey was found shortly afterwards. In addition to numerous knife wounds and damage to his lung, Andrey suffered a traumatic brain injury. His condition is serious, but he is conscious.
It is understood that those responsible for investigating this crime know exactly who the killers are - however Ukrainian law enforcement officials remain conspicuously silent.
