📍 A series of seminar trainings aimed at enhancing teachers' qualifications, skills, and experience have been launched in collaboration with UzTEA's Samarkand branch.

🔍 Evaluation Criteria and Common Technical Mistakes for Teachers’ Submissions

As we evaluate the work submitted for the English Teachers Olympiad, we focused on key aspects of effective lesson planning and the use of digital tools.

Evaluation Criteria:

1️⃣Digital Content Creation

We are assessing how well digital tools are used to create engaging and interactive content. The use of platforms such as Kahoot, Canva, and others should enhance the lesson and offer students a dynamic learning experience.

2️⃣ Lesson Plan Design

The structure and effectiveness of the lesson plan are crucial. We look for a well-organized plan that meets learning objectives and includes appropriately timed activities that keep students on track.

3️⃣ Tech Integration

A smooth and innovative integration of technology is key. Successful submissions will demonstrate how various tools are blended into the lesson in a way that enhances learning, rather than just relying on one tool or focusing too much on technology without pedagogical value.

4️⃣ Student Engagement

Lessons should encourage active student participation and engagement. Quizzes, collaborative activities, and discussions should be included to keep students motivated and involved throughout the session.

5️⃣ Assessment

We are also looking at how well technology is used to assess student progress. Submissions that provide meaningful feedback, track understanding, and adapt to student needs through technology will stand out.

Thank you for joining the First-Ever English Teachers Olympiad on Digital Awareness! We’re excited to have 300+ teachers involved, with 53.6% school teachers, 30.9% university teachers, and others. Your digital skills levels range from 62% intermediate to 29.9% advanced.

We’ve successfully received your applications and are reviewing them carefully.

✅First Round (Today, 16:00 - 17:00)
✅40 multiple-choice questions
✅40-60 minutes to complete
✅Test link will be shared 15 minutes before the start and will close at 17:00.

The top 10 scores from each group (Pre-school, School, University, etc.) will move to the second round, where you'll submit lesson plans. All participants will receive certificates.

Бугун Жиззах давлат педагогика университетида 14-чи чет тилларни ўқитиш ва амалий тилшунослик бўйича анъанавий йиллик конференциямизни (Foreign Language Teaching and Applied Linguistics – FLTAL) бошладик. Пандемия туфайли сўнгги 4 йил давомида конференцияни онлайн форматда ўтказгандик, Аллоҳга шукрлар бўлсин бу галгиси ҳам жонли ҳамда онлайн форматда ўтмоқда. 22 та давлатдан 100 дан ошиқ олимлар иштирок этишмоқда. Бунинг учун ЖДПУ университети ректори профессор Шавкат Шариповга ва ажойиб жамоасига ўз миннатдорчилигимни изҳор этаман. Айтганча, конференция эл оқсоқоли Шароф Рашидов асос солган ва бу йили 50-йиллик юбилейини нишонлаётган ЖДПУнинг байрами билан бирлашиб кетди.

Конференциянинг ялпи мажлисидаги асосий спикерлар дунёнинг энг топ университетларидан таклиф этилди. Буюк Британиянинг Оксфорд университети дунёда 3-чи, Лондон Университет коллежи (UCL) дунёда 9-чи (педагогикада дунёда биринчи),, Янги Зеландиядаги Окленд университети дунёда 65-чи, АҚШнинг Пенсильвания давлат университети дунёда 89-чи. Бу спикерлар билан узоқ йилларга борадиган дўстлигимиз бор. Янги Зеландиялик Гари эса учинчи бор қатнашиши, 2019 йилда Тошкентдаги 9-чи FLTAL-га, 2022 йил эса 12-чи FLTAL-га онлайн қатнашганди. FLTAL-нинг бошқа анъанавий конференциялардан фарқи шундаки, пленар спикерлар 10 дақиқа эмас, 60 дақиқа маъруза қилишади, қолган спикерлар эса 15-20 дақиқа.

❌ Common Technical Mistakes

🔍 While reviewing the submissions, we have detected some recurring technical issues:

❌ Poor video and audio quality – The clarity of video and audio was insufficient, making it difficult to follow the content.

❌ No formal introduction of yourself and the submission – Some participants failed to introduce themselves or the lesson, leaving viewers without context.

❌ Video without explanation (no teacher involvement) – The videos lacked teacher presence or explanation, reducing the educational impact.

❌ Lack of innovative tech information for auditory learners – Submissions did not include technology that catered to auditory learners or provided any novel tech features.

❌ Over-focus on a single tool (e.g., Kahoot) – Several submissions focused solely on one tool without demonstrating the use of a broader range of digital resources.

❗️ These technical issues have affected the overall effectiveness of the submissions. We encourage participants to address these areas for future improvement.

🔄 Digital Awareness English Teachers Olympiad Updates!

Dear participants, the rules and stages of our Olympiad are as follows:

🎉 Stage 1: Online Test

On 14th September, from 16:00 to 20:00, you will be presented with 40 multiple choice (MCQ) questions.
Each participant will need to complete the questions within 40 minutes.
The top 10 participants from each category, based on the highest scores, will advance to the second stage.
If two participants achieve the same score, the time taken to complete the test will be considered.

🎉 Stage 2: Video Assignment

Participants who successfully pass the first stage will be required to submit a 3-5 minute video showing how they conduct a lesson using digital tools.
In this video, participants should demonstrate how they conduct the lesson and how they apply digital tools.

⏱ Registration Deadline: 13th September.
After registration closes, a special link to the test will be sent to each participant via email.

Ushbu tabrikni UzTEA jamoasi nomidan, yosh rahbar sifatida chin dildan aytmoqdaman. Sizlarning ilm-fan yo'lida qilayotgan buyuk xizmatlaringiz va yosh avlodga berayotgan beqiyos tarbiyangiz uchun minnatdormiz. Sizlarning mehnatingiz tufayli yurtimizda yangi avlodning bilimli, o'ziga ishongan va jahonga ochiq yetuk insonlar bo'lib yetishishiga ko'maklashmoqdasiz.

Bu o'quv yilida UzTEA yangi loyihalar bilan siz bilan professional o'sishda davom etadi. Ammo bu maqsadlarga erishish uchun sizlarning qo'llab-quvvatlashingiz zarur. Biz bir-birimizni kuchli qila olamiz!
