India's Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) tested the Gaurav long-range glide bomb from a Sukhoi Su-30MKI fighter jet on 8-10 April.

The bomb (caliber 1000 kg) demonstrated a flight range of almost 100 km and the ability to successfully destroy small-sized targets with a direct hit.

The munition is equipped with a combined guidance system, which includes both a satellite navigation system receiver and an autonomous inertial navigation system.

This ensures both high accuracy of target destruction after release and the ability to operate in electronic warfare conditions.
