Bach's Chaconne forms the final movement of his Partita no.2 for violin. It has become one of the best-known pieces written for violin and, as a result, has inspired a number of composers to transcribe it. Busoni's majestic transcription is not entirely faithful to the original. It is more in the manner of a broad re-interpretation of the Chaconne for piano with little attention paid to the tone colour of the original. With its recurring cadences, lyric passages, bold use of tritones, it gives the feeling to enter a great cathedral of sound, close to colours of organ.

🔻‌مهین زرین‌پنجه، موسیقیدان، آهنگساز و نوازنده پیانو صبح امروز یکشنبه ۱۱ خرداد در متل قو یا سلمان‌شهر در استان مازندران درگذشت.

او چهارم آبان سال ۱۳۱۶ در تهران به دنیا آمد. پدرش نصرالله زرین‌پنجه، استاد تار و آهنگساز بود که در تهیه کتاب‌های آموزشی تار و سه‌تار هنرستان موسیقی نقش بسزایی داشت.

مهین خاطرات آن موقع را چنین به یاد سپرده بود: «در خانه کوچکی که آوای موسیقی از در و پنحره‌هایش شنیده می‌شد بزرگ شدم. پدرم نصرالله زرین‌پنجه، نوازنده و معلم تار و سه تار بودند و مادرم صفیه یگانه کمی تار و تنبک می‌نواخت.»

مهین زرین‌پنجه تحصیلاتش را در هنرستان موسیقی ملی با روح‌الله خالقی که مدیریت هنرستان را بر عهده داشت آغاز کرد و چهره‌های به نامی چون ابوالحسن صبا، حسین تهرانی و جواد معروفی دیگر استادان او بودند.

بعدها نواختن موسیقی کلاسیک اروپایی با پیانو را نزد امانوئل ملیک اصلانیان آموخت و کوک ایرانی پیانو را با مرتضی محجوبی ادامه داد.
