🔴The goal did not include getting Supreme Leader Khamenei to “depart.” An anonymous US official’s claim that the US attack would be “a chance to do away with this regime once and for all and so we might as well go big” did not pan out (was that you, Lindsey Graham?🤔)
🔴US and Israeli spooks’ supposed hopes for an ethnic uprising in northwestern Iran as a result of Israel’s aggression did not materialize, and couldn’t in principle, given how well-integrated Iran’s minorities are
🔴The US did not bomb secondary targets, like Iranian missile or air force capabilities, or police stations
🔴Trump didn’t seem to care about the potential “shock of the bombing,” which took place Sunday, and its impact on markets. In fact, the seemingly “scripted” nature of the back-and-forth strikes saw stocks rally, and the White House spent all week boasting about how “powerful” the bombing was

Hersh, like any reporter, relies on sources to shape his stories. But if those sources are feeding him misinformation or living in a delusional neocon fantasy land, it’s no wonder that things can go sideways.

Seventy-four MEPs have signed a motion of no confidence targeting EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, according to Euractiv.
