In The Lion and The Rose, with the poisoning of the wine, is it clarified in the books whether the conspirators were prepared to poison other people at the table?

On the rewatch, it appears almost happenstance that only Joffrey drinks? Tyrion and Sansa could have had some. And how were they going to protect Margery?

Margaery the best player?

Margaery is a fascinating character to me.

There is not a single moment where I have the impression to know what she wants so achieve or why she is doing the things she does or is saying what she is saying.

I'm my opinion she has the best pokerface out of every character. For example: Even her own grandmother did not know, if she really believed in the tellings of the high sparrow or just pretend to.

She was the one rival that was essential for cersei character development and the only one, who matches her in playing the game of lies and gaining power.

There are so many questions regardomg her, that did not get answered.

-was her goal to be queen for her own merits or for her family's reputation
-what did she really think about renlys relationship to her brother
-did she love tommen or used him for the title
-does she believe in the tellings of the high sparrow
-was sansa a friend or a tool
-did she truly cared for loras or for her family's name

Martin making little to no headway on book 6

Martin noted in a recent interview he's finished about 1100 pages and has hundreds more to go. This is a year after Martin did an interview Oct 2022 saying he had finished around 1100 to 1200 pages and was about 75% done.

So in one year, he's made no progress. Probably has done re-writes and things but as far as number of pages goes, its the same. Prepare for 4+ years i'd say

King Robert's story possible inspiration from King Vassilis from Moscovia

For some reason I can't explain, I got interested in Ivan the Terrible, I went down a rabbit hole and I found out about King Vassilis(Ivan's father), and after hearing about him, I couldn't help but notice the similarities between him and King Robert.
And to not drag it out, I'll get to the point.
King Vassilis went on a hunting trip and returned with a hip wound that days later killed him(I'm paraphrasing) therefore leaving the throne open to his second son Ivan(that's because his first son died shortly after being born, just like Rob's legitimate son with Cersei) but since Ivan was too young, Vassilis' Brothers wanted to claim the throne(he had two of them as well). And the last thing is that, even after the King having a really peaceful reign, his son did not quite follow his steps(i.e. Joffrey)
I know it isn't 1to1 completely, but they are very close, so I just wanted to post to see if someone smarter could go further into this.

Cersei’s children

I’m rewatching the show so forgive me for covering ground that has been covered many times before, I’m sure. It just is wild to me that Joffrey was such a monster and her 2 younger children were like innocent little babies? They grew up in King’s Landing. With Joffrey as a brother. Did he never show them his dark, twisted mind at all? Did they never see their mother for what she was? How??? How did they never see anything bad that would wake them up to the realities of the world?

Curious of people’s thoughts. Again, apologies if this has been discussed a lot. I couldn’t find a thread on it.

One of the starks should've died in season 8

Jon, Arya, Sansa and Bran they're all kids. Kids in positions of power who probably in reality would've been eaten alive by the power hungry people around them.

The battle at winterfell or kingslanding probably should've had one of them killed off for sake of realism.
