💢Short Story
✴️ Mountain Climber
👉The night fell heavily in the heights of the mountain, and the man could not see anything. All was black. Zero visibility, and the moon and the stars were covered by the clouds. As he was climbing...only a few feet away from the top of the mountain, he slipped and fell into the air.
Falling at a great speed the climber could only see black spots as he went down, and the terrible sensation of being sucked by gravity. He kept falling... and in those moments of great fear, it came to his mind all the good and bad episodes of his life.
He was thinking now about how close death was getting, when all of a sudden he felt the rope tied pulled his waist. His body was hanging in the air... Only the rope was holding him.
And in that moment of stillness he had no other choice but to scream: "Help me, God". All of a sudden, a deep voice coming from the sky answered: "What do you want me to do?"
"Save me, God!"
"Do you really think I can save you?"
"Of course I believe you can."
"Then cut the rope tied to your waist."
There was a moment of silence... and the man decided to hold on the rope with all his strength.
The rescue team tells that the next day a climber was found dead and frozen. His body was hanging from a rope, his hands holding tight to it, only three feet away from the ground.

✴️ کوهنورد

👈شب ارتفاعات کوه را تماما در برگرفت و مرد هیچ چیز را نمی توانست ببیند. همه چیز سیاه بود. هیچ دیدی وجود نداشت و ابر ماه و ستاره ها را پوشانده بود. همان طور که از کوه بالا می رفت. چندقدم مانده به قله ی کوه پایش لیز خورد از کوه پرت شد.
کوهنورد درحالی که به سرعت در حال سقوط بود فقط لکه های سیاهی را در مقابل چشمانش می دید، و احساس وحشتناک مکیده شدن به وسیله نیروی جاذبه وجودش را فرا گرفت. همچنان سقوط میکرد... و در آن لحظات بسیار ترسناک، همه ی رویدادهای خوب و بد زندگی به یادش آمد.
اکنون فکر میکرد مرگ چقدر به او نزدیک است. ناگهان احساس کرد که طناب به دور کمرش محکم شده. بدنش میان آسمان و زمین معلق بود و فقط طناب او را نگه داشته بود.
و در آن لحظه سکون، چاره ای نداشت جز آنکه فریاد بکشد"خدایا کمکم کن!". ناگهان صدای پُر طنینی از آسمان جواب داد: "ازمن چه می خواهی؟"
- خدایا نجاتم بده
- آیا واقعا باور داری که من می توانم تو را نجات دهم؟
- البته که باور دارم
- پس طنابی که محکم به کمرت بسته شده را پاره کن.
یک لحظه سکوت... و مرد تصمیم گرفت با تمام نیرو به طناب بچسبد.
گروه نجات می گوید که روز بعد یک کوهنوردِ مُرده و یخ زده را پیدا کردند. بدنش از یک طناب آویزان بود و با دست هایش طناب را محکم گرفته بود... او فقط یک متر از زمین فاصله داشت.

‼️برای  اینکه بگیم "جا هست؟" باید از room استفاده کنیم.  کلمه room در این مواقع اصطلاحا به معنای جا برای کسی است.

✴️The Merchant and his Donkey

👉 One beautiful spring morning, a merchant loaded his donkey with bags of salt to go to the market in order to sell them. The merchent and his donkey were walking along together. They had not walked far when they reached a river on the road.
Unfortunately, the donkey slipped and fell into the river and noticed that the bags of salt loaded on his back became lighter.
There was nothing the merchant could do, except return home where he loaded his donkey with more bags of salt. As they reached the slippery riverbank, now deliberately, the donkey fell into the river and wasted all the bags of salt on its back again
The merchant quickly discovered the donkey's trick. He then returned home again but re-loaded his donkey with bags of sponge
The foolish, tricky donkey again set on its way. On reaching the river he again fell into the water. But instead of the load becoming lighter, it became heavier.
The merchant laughed at him and said: "You foolish donkey, your trick had been discovered. You should know that, those who are too clever sometimes overreach themselves."

✴️بازرگان و خرش

👈یک روز زیبای بهاری، یک بازرگان کیسه های نمک بار خر خود کرد و راهی بازار شد تا آنها را بفروشد. مرد بازرگان و خرش در کنار هم راه می رفتند. مسیر زیادی را طی نکرده بودند که به رودخانه ای در مسیر جاده رسیدند.
متاسفانه، خر سُر خورد و در رودخانه افتاد و متوجه شد که کیسه های نمک که بر پشتش بار زده بودند سبک تر شدند.
بازرگان کاری از دستش بر نمی آمد غیر از اینکه به محل بارگیری برگردد و بار دیگر کیسه های نمک را بار خر کند. وقتی به کناره لغزنده رودخانه رسیدند، اینبار خر بطور عمدی خود را در رودخانه انداخت و دوباره تمامی کیسه های بر روی پشتش را خراب کرد.
بازرگان بسرعت متوجه حقه خر شد. سپس به خانه بازگشت و اینبار خر را با کیسه های اسفنج بار زد.
خر احمق و حقه باز دوباره راهی شد. وقتی به کناره رودخانه رسید دوباره در آب افتاد. ولی به جای اینکه بارش سبک شپد، سنگین تر شد.
بازرگان خندید و گفت: ای خر احمق، حقه تو لو رفت. باید بدانی، آنهایی که بیش از حد باهوش باشند، گاهی اوقات پا را فراتر از حد دراز می کنند.

امروز می خوام اصطلاح downer رو بهتون معرفی کنم که slang محسوب میشه . این اصطلاح یعنی هر “اتفاق” یا “چیزی” که باعث بشه حالت افسردگی و  نا امیدی بهتون دست بده به عبارتی باعث ایجاد حالت دپرسینگ یا بهتر بگم “ضد حال” تو شما بشه

🔸A: I can’t believe the concert was cancelled.
🔸B: Yeah what a downer

🔸نمی تونم باور کنم که کنسرت کنسل شده.
🔸 اره ، عجب ضد حالی بود یا خیلی ضد حال بود

🔸A : damn it , he stole my car
🔸B : ohhh , it’s a real downer

🔸لعنتی ، اون ماشینمو  دزدید
🔸 اه ! واقعا ضد حاله ! یا خیلی ضد حاله

🔸I stopped watching the news because it’s always such a downer
🔸من تماشای اخبار رو منع کردم چون همیشه خبرهاش دپرس کننده ست ضد حاله

👈اینجا downer  در نقش چیزی که دپرس کننده ست ظاهر شده (something that is depressing)

🔸دست بردار گینا ! چرا نمی تونی با ما بری بیرون ؟ تو واقعا ادم ضد حالی هستی !
