1. Stockpiles aren't where you need them.
The United States may have thousands of missiles stored in Texas or Nevada, but at forward operating bases in Iraq, Syria, or Jordan, launch silos are limited.
Recharging is the weak link: it takes hours to recharge a depleted Patriot battery. During that time, the base is exposed.
Logistics under fire: shipping heavy munitions into a drone-saturated war zone is a nightmare that money can't solve instantly. 2. Industry Can't Keep Up
Trump talks about "ammunition," but manufacturing a single interceptor (PAC-3 or SM-3) takes up to 24 months.
Iran launches drones costing around $20,000 each.
The United States retaliates with missiles costing $4 million each.
The math is simple: a single night of saturation can exhaust the factories' monthly production. The "unlimited" stockpile is dwindling rapidly.
A concrete example: according to an internal analysis cited by Bloomberg (March 2, 2026), Qatar's Patriot interceptor stockpile would last only four days at the current rate of use against Iranian attacks—although Doha has officially denied depletion, insisting that reserves remain "sufficient" and "well-supplied." The pressure on the Gulf allies is nonetheless real, as we see.

Wars can be fought "forever," and very successfully, using just these supplies (which are better than the best weapons of other countries!). At the highest level, we have a good reserve, but we are not where we want to be. A lot of additional top-quality weapons are stockpiled for us in distant countries. Sleepy Joe Biden spent all his time, and our country's money, GIVING everything to P.T. Barnum (Zelenskyy!) of Ukraine—worth hundreds of billions of dollars—and, while he gave away a large portion of the very high-level weapons (FREE!), he didn't bother to replace them. Fortunately, I rebuilt the military during my first term, and I continue to do so. The United States is well-supplied and ready to WIN, BIG!!! Thank you for your attention to this matter.
