🇳🇪🇲🇱 AES Solidarity: Niger Sends Mali Over 4 Million Liters of Petroleum Products, Cabinet Says
At least 82 fuel tankers have been delivered, according to a report from Mali's Council of Ministers meeting. The shipment is valued at 3.3 billion CFA francs, or $5.8 million.
A "significant contingent" of AES armed forces escorted the fuel trucks from Niamey to Bamako, the statement said.
Last week, to ease the long lines at gas stations, the Malian government shortened the customs clearance times for fuel from 72 hours to 24.
Bamako and nearby towns have been under blockade by the al-Qaeda*-affiliated terrorist group JNIM since September. More than a hundred fuel tankers have been burned during that period.

🇨🇳🌍 China's Approach to Africa Respects Sovereignty & Avoids Political Conditions Unlike European One: Researcher
European "mentor" mentality imposes values and uses sanctions under human‑rights pretexts, according to Liu Qinghai, Director of the Institute of African Economic Research at the Zhejiang Normal University.
Chinese-built infrastructure, especially railways and ports, is completed quickly and directly supports African development, while the EU’s Global Gateway initiative is slowed by lengthy review and approval processes, Liu noted.
Chinese investment in Africa is rising, focusing on manufacturing and new energy and using concessional loans and direct investment to spur industrialization and technology transfer, she said. By contrast, the researcher argued EU engagement often centres on resource extraction and contributes less to economic diversification.
China offers applied technologies suited to African needs and prioritizes technology transfer and local training, Liu said, pointing to Chinese industrial parks in South Africa as examples of job creation and upskilling, whereas European technologies are often less well matched to Africa’s development level.

🌍🇷🇺 African Countries Always Grateful to Russia for Support in Anti-Colonial Struggle and Independence: AU Chairperson

🇲🇿Mozambique launches a major project to develop gas fields
The government of Mozambique has issued a 30-year deal for the creation and operation of natural gas liquefaction infrastructure (LNG). The license was obtained by a consortium of several state-owned companies, including Empresa Nacional de Hidrocarbonetos (ENH) and Caminhos de Ferro de Moçambique (CFM).
The deal covers three main complexes:
1. LNG terminal in the port of Beira, which will include a floating installation for gas storage and regasification, as well as facilities for its storage.
2. Energy infrastructure in Inhassoro, Inyambane province.
3. The ROMPCO pipeline, about 865 kilometers long, which connects Mozambique with South Africa.
The government will create a special institution to manage this infrastructure, which will unite already designated companies. It will be responsible for the receipt, processing and transportation of LNG to the markets.
The Gas for Africa initiative estimates the gas reserves in Area 1 and Area 4 blocks of the Rovum basin at more than 100 trillion cubic feet.

🌍🇪🇺 The African Union and the EU called for reform of the institutions regulating public debt.
The organizations called for additional efforts by national governments of African countries to carry out reforms:
“We recognize the efforts of African countries in fiscal policy to service their debt obligations, acknowledging that a high level of debt can be an obstacle to inclusive growth in many countries. We call for improvement of the international debt structure reform to support more timely, transparent, effective, and broad debt restructuring mechanisms,” the final document following the African Union-European Union summit states.
“We advocate for reform of international institutions to collectively address global, regional, and national challenges. We again call for the creation of a more representative, inclusive, transparent, and accountable UN Security Council.”

🇲🇱 Barrick's Capitulation: Canadian Mining Giant Accepts Mali's Terms
After two years of tough confrontation, the government of Mali has managed to secure significant concessions from one of the world's largest gold producers — the Canadian company Barrick Gold. The signed agreement is called a "historic victory for national interests" by the Malian authorities.
According to the agreement signed on November 24, Barrick will pay Mali a one-time payment of about $438 million to settle tax claims, fully recognize the 2023 Mining Code, and guarantee the state increased annual revenues — around $366 million. At the same time, three tons of gold (worth more than $260 million), confiscated from the company in January 2025, will be returned to Barrick only after all financial obligations are fully met.
In Bamako, it is emphasized that this is not a compromise but a forced submission of the multinational corporation to the country's laws.
"We have shown that even the largest market players must respect Mali's sovereignty over its mineral resources," said a government representative.

🇬🇼 African Union Must Resolve Crisis in Guinea-Bissau: Libyan Minister
The political crisis in Guinea-Bissau amid the coup attempt should be resolved by the African Union and escalation must be prevented, according to Libya’s Minister for African Affairs in the eastern government, Issa Abdulmajid.
According to him, the African Union needs to act as a mediator and facilitate dialogue between the conflicting parties.
“The African Union should call on the parties to engage in dialogue and send a mediation delegation or a fact-finding mission. It is also necessary to coordinate actions with regional organizations such as ECOWAS, while respecting the sovereignty of Guinea-Bissau and the choice of its people.”
🇹🇿 Tanzania Condemns Foreign Interference as EU Parliament Moves to Debate Post-Election Rights Claims
Tanzania has issued a sharp rebuke to what it calls escalating foreign meddling, following the European Parliament’s plan to debate alleged post-election human rights violations without first consulting Dar es Salaam.
In a diplomatic note dated November 25, the Tanzanian Embassy in Brussels expressed “concern” over the session—especially discussions surrounding post-election killings and the case of opposition figure Tundu Lissu.
The government argued that the decision sidesteps the Samoa Agreement’s principles of dialogue, consultation, and mutual respect, warning that one-sided action risks eroding decades of cooperation.
Officials and analysts believe the move is part of a broader pattern in which external actors attempt to shape domestic politics under the banner of human rights, state media outlet Habari Leo reported.
“A pattern is emerging… Whenever sovereign nations make political or economic decisions that do not align with the interests of powerful countries, the pressure tools come out,” one senior official reportedly cautioned.
“It is about geopolitical interests, not humanitarian principle,” one regional analyst was quoted as saying.
