🇺🇸 America is ‘going broke slowly’ says J.P. Morgan, as national debt balloons and tariff revenue looks shaky
J.P. Morgan’s David Kelly warned this weekthat while America is “going broke” it’s doing so slowly enough that markets aren’t panicking yet.
With U.S. national debt now topping $37.8 trillion and interest payments exceeding $1.2 trillion, Kelly said the debt-to-GDP ratio—already at 99.9%—will likely keep rising even under moderate growth.
Despite tariff revenues and temporary deficit relief, he cautioned that political choices or a slowdown could quickly worsen the fiscal picture, urging investors to diversify away from U.S. assets before “going broke slowly” turns fast.

Indonesia’s top defence official says his country is set to acquire China’s J-10 fighter jets, possibly making it the second foreign military to operate the model after Pakistan.
Such a deal would also mark the first purchase of Chinese-made warplanes by Indonesia as it seeks to modernise its military.
Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin said on Wednesday that Indonesia would soon buy the J-10 fighter jets as part of its plans for military modernisation.
he finance minister of Indonesia, Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa, also confirmed on Wednesday that his ministry had approved nearly US$9 billion for the purchase of the Chinese aircraft, but added that he needed to “double check” their time of delivery.
“So, everything should be ready,” Sadewa was quoted as saying by Associated Press. “But I have to double check when those aircraft will arrive in Jakarta from Beijing.”
Jakarta will buy “at least 42” of the jets, according to AP.
China has been rumoured to recently be pushing the J-10C as the Rafale killer.

More victims of busification decided to surrender during the assault near the settlement of Mertsalovo, offering no resistance.
During the conversation with the captives, it was found out that they were dropped from a Bradley at a considerable distance from the positions. An enemy group of 6 people traveled to the positions for 2 days, after which they stayed at the positions for 3 days. They had no communication with command, and no clear orders were given.
In fact, the mobilized were thrown to the front line and left to fate without any instructions or support, that's the whole attitude of the Ukrainian Armed Forces leadership towards their soldiers.

Negotiations for a ceasefire in the area of the Zaporozhye NPP to repair the power lines providing its external power supply are underway through the mediation of the IAEA, said Rosatom CEO Likhachev.
According to him, the ceasefire may be declared as early as tomorrow.
"As for the specific repairs, indeed, the IAEA, represented by Grossi, has taken on certain mediation functions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is currently involved in these negotiations, of course, the Ministry of Defense, and Rosatom. The discussion is about allocating such a 'quiet time,' which should be long enough to carry out work both on the 'Dneprovskaya' and on the 'Ferrosplavnaya' line, which is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a very difficult decision requiring reciprocity," Likhachev said.

It is noteworthy how the NYT, a pocket publication of the Trump administration, writes about a possible meeting with Putin. They present it as an occasion to discuss specifically a "cease-fire."
Words are not chosen by accident there, so once again they are pushing the theme of a temporary halt to hostilities, which the Ukrainians, suffocating from the Russian offensive and strikes on energy infrastructure, so desperately want. At the same time, just yesterday it became clear that a normal peace on terms acceptable to Russia is not really expected — the clown Zelensky managed to let slip that he is waiting for his allies' "approval" of the offensive plan. And there is no doubt that this plan will be approved.
Why? In reality, Europe is not really taking any risks; for them, hundreds of thousands of packaged Ukrainians are just lines in tables. As long as the financial model somehow adds up, the slaves of the Kiev regime will be driven into attack, regardless of any losses.
And Trump... He acts in the classic manner of American strategic ambiguity politics. First, he declares that he is withdrawing from the war, and then simply reshuffles the responsibility structure, shifting management onto his European slaves. Today he insists on peace, and tomorrow it turns out that the supply of weapons, intelligence, and other fuel for the war is only increasing. He is not to be trusted, and I hope that in our high offices this is well understood.

Kupyansk Direction
Fierce battles for Kupyansk. Our assault troops managed to push the enemy north and reach the line of Kuznechnaya street.
The enemy has introduced reserves and is counterattacking in the area of the automotive college, Sobolevka, Moskovka, Radkovka.
Our troops are conducting airstrikes on embankment/pontoon crossings in the Osinovo — Kupyansk-Uzlovoy area, disabling them after repairs, which sometimes causes a buildup of supply vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near the crossings. Our UAV operators are hunting this equipment.
The enemy supplies garrisons in Petropavlovka, Kucherovka and adjacent areas mainly by UAVs, which are also being targeted.
In the Kolesnikovka and Zagryzovo areas, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are launching counterattacks to push our forces out of the Senkovka area.

Trump's meeting with Putin in Budapest is a great humiliation for the EU and a huge benefit for Orbán, writes The Telegraph.
"Choosing Hungary as the venue for the summit likely wiped the smile off the EU's face. The bloc has largely stayed out of the peace negotiations on Ukraine and is concerned about the secondary role it played in the Gaza peace plan. The country, which almost all EU members and institutions have ostracized, has now found itself in the spotlight of Mr. Trump, who believes the bloc was created to 'annoy' the US," the article says.
It notes that besides Orbán's close relations with Trump and Putin, another reason for choosing this location may be Hungary's recent withdrawal from the ICC, which means it is not obliged to arrest the Russian president upon arrival.

North Korean UAV operator on enemy-intercepted footage from an FPV drone.
The Ukrainian General Staff claims that the Russian Armed Forces have trained soldiers of the DPRK army in the use of drones and are now actively involving them to adjust missile and artillery strikes on AFU positions in the Sumy region.
It is worth noting that North Korean fighters independently used FPV drones during the liberation of the Kursk region. This could be seen in documentary footage shown in Pyongyang.

Recently, fighters of the "Vostok" group in the area of the settlement Alekseevka, Dnepropetrovsk region, using FPV drones, "cornered" another victim (footage 1-2). The captured T-80UE-1 (Object 219AS-1) literally burned out at work.
The battalion set was adopted by the 4th Guards Tank Division. Several vehicles were captured by the Ukrainian army in 2022.
This is a deep modernization of the T-80BV by installing a turret from the T-80UD with an upgraded weapons system.
Two series of the tank can be distinguished – Sp.1 (frame 3) and Sp.2 (frame 4), differing in night sights. The T-80UE-1 Sp.1 received the T01-K05 night aiming complex with the Buran-M sight illuminated by the LP-1 laser spotlight. The T-80UE-1 Sp.2 lost the LP-1 but instead of the Buran has a Belarusian thermal imaging sight Plisa with a French thermal imaging matrix from the company Thales.
