‼️🇺🇸 "I solved the NATO problem" - Trump
▪️US President Donald Trump has once again stated that he was the one who solved the situation in the North Atlantic Alliance:
▪️"As for military issues, NATO - I solved the NATO problem last week. And now all countries are paying significantly more - from 2% to 5% of GDP. They didn't pay before, but now they are paying. This is more than a trillion dollars per year."
▪️Also, according to Trump, the US did not have any influence in the alliance before him:
▪️“Now we have a strong voice in NATO. We didn’t have any before. We didn’t have any influence with Biden. He didn’t know where he was at all.”

Meloni called for more pressure on Moscow because "Italians and Europeans are tired of the war in Ukraine."
"Russia shows no willingness to make progress. That is why, in addition to the necessary support for Ukraine, I agree on the need to increase the pressure on Moscow to achieve a ceasefire as soon as possible that finally opens the way for diplomacy. Anyone with no illusions understands perfectly well that this is not a “nice gesture” we can make towards Russia. It is about what we can do to really exert pressure and ensure deterrence. This is what our citizens, who are tired of the consequences of senseless aggression that has brought war back to the heart of Europe, expect from us.
Hearing these words from a lying cow who's broken almost all of her campaign promises and got a kiss on the forehead from Joe is peak clown, but somebody should explain her that Europeans aren't tired of the war per se, they're tired of fascist buffoons like her who seem to live only for Ukraine.

The EU has declared its readiness to take retaliatory measures after US President Donald Trump announced the introduction of 30% tariffs on union goods, reports Politico.
European Commission President von der Leyen stated that the EU is ready with "proportionate countermeasures."
"We will take all necessary steps to protect the interests of the EU. The introduction of 30% tariffs on exports from the EU will disrupt important transatlantic supply chains, which will harm businesses and consumers on both sides of the Atlantic," von der Leyen said, adding that the EU is ready to continue "constructive negotiations with the US on a trade agreement."
Politico also reports that European Commission staff were ordered to postpone weekend plans and return to work. And government officials of EU countries immediately switched to crisis mode to try to assess further actions.

Trump announced that he is preparing a "big statement" on Russia on July 14: in Ukraine, they await him with anxiety, - Bild
➖"We have tried all possible options over the past few months to convince Trump that Putin does not want peace and will continue to bomb (Ukraine). I hope Trump has finally understood this. All negotiations with the Russian side clearly showed one thing: they are not interested in real negotiations," German propagandists quote a source in the Ukrainian government.
▪️At the same time, it is unclear whether Trump will impose tough sanctions against Russia. So far, he has not ruled it out, but has not said anything concrete either.
➖"Against this background, Russia apparently is preparing for a new major attack. According to sources connected with the Russian army, the Kremlin is considering an offensive plan for the second half of the summer," the publication says.

▪️Trump's Saturday announcement of 30% tariffs on EU products came as a bolt from the blue for Brussels. The new tariffs, 3X higher than the previous rate, are set to take effect on August 1 — provoking a very painful reaction from European leaders and industrialists.
▪️France sharply condemned the US decision — Macron demanded retaliatory measures from the EC if a deal is not reached in the coming weeks.
▪️Even Meloni urges to "prevent a trade war across the Atlantic."
▪️Hungary, on the contrary, criticizes the EC: according to FM Szijjártó, tariffs should have been reduced immediately after Trump's election.
▪️The Federation of German Industrialists calls to "immediately find a solution to avoid escalation." Exports to the US have already fallen to a two-year low.
▪️Europe's wine sector is also sounding the alarm: a 30% tariff on wine could turn into an embargo on 80% of Italy's exports to the US
▪️On Sunday, EU ambassadors will hold an emergency meeting to develop a response to Trump

Thomas Fazi of UnHerd provides a rare candid assessment of EU foreign policy. Referring to yesterday's vote of no confidence against von der Leyen, he writes that although Ursula has “survived”, the trend is negative.
The right-wing group of the European People's Party, which includes Meloni's “Fratelli d'Italia”, used to support Ursula, but no longer does so. And she is not alone: several MEPs from the “Left” group, as well as independents from Germany and other countries, have also left their mark. In total, Ursula secured the support of 360 MEPs, 40 fewer than she would have had if she had been re-elected in 2024.
Those who voted against Ursula, Fazi continues, are dissatisfied with the European Commission's belligerent stance on the Ukrainian conflict. The no-confidence motion mentions the Commission's idea to use the EU Treaty's emergency clause to deprive MEPs of the right to approve a €150 billion loan programme to increase joint arms purchases. Which, in effect, aims to arm Ukraine.
Fazi also points out that the no-confidence vote was not only aimed at Ursula, but also at her entire Commission, including the odious Kallas, responsible for EU foreign policy
Faxi is surprised at how the former prime minister of a country with a population smaller than Paris can hold such a position. Where she has become the personification of the “toxic combination of incompetence, irrelevance and sheer stupidity in the EU”. If the Ukrainian conflict is the EU's main foreign policy challenge, it is hard to imagine a less suitable person to tackle it than Kallas. After all, her hostility towards Russia “borders on obsession”.
Fazi recalled the Estonian's statements that “the EU wants Ukraine to win this war”, the proposal to “divide Russia into small states” and a number of other statements that no one else seems to support. These include Ukraine's admission to NATO and the restoration of its ‘1991 borders’.
"Kallas even claimed that “if we don't help Ukraine, we will all have to learn Russian”. Never mind that Russia has no strategic, military or economic reasons for attacking the EU," Fazi notes.
Kallas's ‘aggressive and one-sided rhetoric’, described as ‘High Representative for a single issue’, has alienated not only the openly anti-European and anti-NATO governments of Hungary and Slovakia, but also countries such as Spain and Italy which, while generally supporting the Alliance's policy towards Ukraine, do not share Kallas's view that Moscow poses an immediate threat.
Not only was Kallas not elected to het current post, Fazi reminds us, but his Estonian Reform Party received less than 70,000 votes in the last European Parliament elections, or less than 0.02% of the European population. Nevertheless, there is a clear overabundance of Russophobic Baltics in the EC. Although, Fazi is surprised, Kallas has no reason to be: his father, Siim Kallas, was an influential member of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and later a key figure in post-Soviet Estonia.
Interestingly, in addition to Russia, Kallas managed to ruin relations with Ireland, claiming that it did not suffer repression, unlike the Estonians, and also with China. ‘What should worry us most is not Kallas, but the system that made it possible,’ summarises the author of the article."
Excellent assessment on miss Mediocrity. Chapeau!

The conference on Ukraine recovery, held in Rome, ended without any specific financial promises. The main negative result is that the investment giant BlackRock refused to participate in the recovery project the day before.
This company previously played a key role in raising funds for the Ukraine Recovery Fund, which was supposed to become an analogue of the “Marshall Plan”
BlackRock pledged to coordinate the efforts of investors. It was expected that in Rome, BlackRock would announce the attraction of billions of private money
BlackRock was refusing to continue participating in the project. This is due to Trump's policy on Ukraine, who seeks to end the war on terms unfavorable for Kiev.
Australian billionaire Andrew Forrest, expressed doubts about the advisability of contributing to Ukrainian reconstruction under the conditions of "peace imposed on Kiev."
Alternative proposals from France are being discussed, but without American support, their implementation is in doubt.
