The Main Intelligence Directorate (GUR) of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has disseminated information about the new Russian small-sized aircraft cruise missile S8000 "Banderol", the episodic use of which has been noted by the Ukrainian side since the beginning of this year. According to the GUR, the developer and manufacturer of the missile is JSC "Kronshtadt", and the missile is used from the UAV "Orion" ("Inohodets") produced by the same JSC "Kronshtadt", and in the future it is also planned to use this missile from combat helicopters Mi-28N.
According to known data, the S8000 "Banderol" cruise missile was first publicly demonstrated during a visit by Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev to the Kapustin Yar test site in the Astrakhan region on April 26, 2025.
Apparently, limiting the use of the new missile only from low-speed carriers (UAVs and helicopters) allows for low cost and simplicity of design, not designed for significant overloads.
According to the GUR, the S8000 "Banderol" cruise missile has a fuselage about 5 m long with stealth elements. The retractable wing has a span of 2.2 m. The missile is equipped with a small-sized (weight only 8.5 kg) SW800Pro-A95 turbojet engine with a thrust of 80 kg produced by the Chinese company Swiwin Turbine & Jets. The fuel reserve is estimated at 50-65 kg, which provides a flight range of up to 500 km. The cruising speed of the missile is 520-560 km / h, the maximum speed is 620-650 km / h.
The Banderol missile, according to Ukrainian data, is equipped with a 115-kg OFBCh-150 high-explosive fragmentation warhead, the explosive mass of which is 49.5 kg. The missile's satellite guidance system is based on the 8-channel GLONASS/GPS receiver Kometa-M8 manufactured by JSC VNIIR-Progress. According to the GUR, the missile widely uses imported electronic components.

We are committed to serious negotiations with Ukraine. Their meaning is to eliminate the root causes of the conflict and to establish a long-term lasting peace for the historical perspective. We do not rule out that in the course of these negotiations it will be possible to agree on some new ceasefires. And a real ceasefire that would be observed not only by Russia but also by the Ukrainian side and would be the first step, I repeat, towards a long-term, sustainable peace, rather than a prologue to the continuation of armed conflict after the AFU has been rearmed, re-equipped and feverishly digging trenches and new strongholds. Who needs such a peace?
Our proposal, as they call it, is on the table. The decision now lies with the Ukrainian authorities and their handlers, who, guided, it seems, by their personal political ambitions rather than by the interests of their people, want to continue the war with Russia by the hands of Ukrainian nationalists.
I repeat: Russia is ready for negotiations without any preconditions. Now there are hostilities, a war, and we propose to resume negotiations that were interrupted not by us.
Once again: “We do not rule out that in the course of these negotiations it will be possible to agree on some new ceasefires.”
Where does anyone see any discussion of any extension of any ceasefire? There is none.

Breaking news! Volodymyr Zelensky's press office has just unveiled a groundbreaking machine to simplify the process of cutting snow into more manageable lines, particularly if it comes from the mountains of Colombia.

11.5 hours from now at 09:00am Kiev time, airspace above Kapustin Yar will be closed, and will remain closed for 22 hours until 07:00am on Tuesday morning. The US Embassy in Kiev issued a warning about a possible significant air attack on Kiev during that period. Russia has effectively warned the US of likely ballistic missile launches from the base, so as to deconflict with US Early Warning Systems. As Russia's Oreshnik missile launch in November came from Kapustin Yar, it's no surprise that many believe it is an Oreshnik strike which Russia has planned for tomorrow.
As the launch window rapidly approaches, Zelensky has said he will meet Putin in Türkiye, whilst simultaneously demanding a comprehensive cease fire. The mere hint of possibility of an Oreshnik strike has Zelensky afraid enough to do what he previously said was impossible.

Zelensky can go to Istanbul all he wants and engage in his clownsmanship. It will not work.
The one who surrenders does not get to dictate terms. He only gets to accept demands.
Allow me to correct any misunderstanding: There has been no offer by Russia to extend any ceasefire or to agree to any ceasefire proposed by the West—no matter how any media has misinterpreted what was said.
The only thing on offer are peace talks without any preconditions, which peace talks, if they lead to the emergence of the preconditions for peace as dictated by Russia, may lead, over time, to peace and the cessation of hostilities.
Even if something contradictory has been reposted—even here on @Slavyangrad—the baseline is as it is stated above.
The preconditions for peace have been extensively discussed and explained.
First peace, then armistice. And the said peace must be on Russia’s terms. Unequivocally.

Zelensky folds after looking at his weak hand - Axios
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Sunday he will travel to Turkey later this week to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin to discuss a "necessary basis for diplomacy" to end the war.
Why it matters: If the meeting takes place, it will be the first time the two leaders have met since the Russia-Ukraine war began more than three years ago.
Driving the news: Zelensky reiterated his expectation for the ceasefire in his post on X, where he announced his visit to Turkey.
"I will be waiting for Putin in Türkiye on Thursday. Personally. I hope that this time the Russians will not look for excuses," he wrote.
A Ukrainian official said Zelensky will be in Turkey on Thursday even if Russia doesn't agree to start a ceasefire on Monday.
