💬 Ghalibaf: Iran’s trade partners won’t listen to US ‘big talk’
📌 Tehran, IRNA – Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has dismissed as mere "big talk" Washington’s threats of punishing countries that engage in any form of trade with the Islamic Republic, saying Iran’s trade partners will not comply with US sanctions.
In a post on his X account on Monday, Ghalibaf said trade partners have conveyed to Iran that they will completely disregard the US threats.
“Iran's trade partners have also announced to us, both through the media and by sending messages, that they regard these statements as utterly meaningless,” he said in the Farsi-language post.
The Iranian Parliament speaker also said the United States economy has already suffered because of the impacts of its war of aggression on Iran and that it would not tolerate any disputes with other countries over Iran.
“The Americans know that no one believes their big talk; the United States is not in a position economically to further restrict its relations with other countries,” said Ghalibaf.

🖥 Army chief warns Iran will not be testing ground for enemy plots
📌 Tehran, IRNA – Iran will not be a testing ground for enemy plots or adventurism, Army Chief Commander Major General Amir Hatami says, warning that the Armed Forces will respond decisively to any aggression and defend Iran’s independence, territorial integrity and security.
“The enemy must know that Islamic Iran will not be a testing ground for their plots and adventurism; the Armed Forces, relying on faith, experience, readiness and the support of the great Iranian nation, will respond decisively to any aggression and will powerfully defend the country’s independence, territorial integrity and security,” Hatami said.
Hatami made the remarks while addressing commanders of the northeastern regional headquarters of the Army Ground Forces, saying the enemy had continued plotting new threats after failing to achieve its objectives.
“We therefore constantly monitor the enemy’s short-, medium- and long-term objectives and are prepared to confront any enemy scenario,” he said.
Hatami said modern warfare was not limited to the use of weapons and military equipment, describing it instead as a struggle involving the will, ideas and resilience of nations.
“Today’s war is a war of wills, ideas and the resilience of nations,” he said.
He also stressed the need to thwart the enemy’s plans and prevent it from achieving its objectives against Iran.
“We must thwart the enemy and make the bitterness of failure so strong for the enemy that it understands Iran is not a place where someone can come from the other side of the world and say, ‘I will change the map of the country’; we will fight for 10 generations, 20 generations, and we will certainly not allow this to happen; the only way is to make the enemy understand through the language of force that it cannot do what it wants,” Hatami said.
He added that strengthening coordination among the Armed Forces, improving the Army’s combat capabilities, promoting awareness and spirituality, and improving personnel welfare were the four main pillars of the orders issued to him by the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution when he was appointed Army chief.
Hatami said the four priorities remain central to preparing the Armed Forces for future threats.

⚡️ Iran says it received no formal invitation from regional countries to join security pact
📌 Tehran, IRNA – Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei says Iran did not receive a formal invitation to join a proposed regional security pact involving Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkiye, while noting that regional countries had raised the broader issue of regional security in their discussions with Tehran.
“We have not received an official invitation, but talks have been raised by these countries regarding the general issue of regional security,” Baqaei said at a Monday press conference.
The spokesperson said Tehran saw no reason to believe that an arrangement involving three Islamic countries and two Muslim neighboring states was intended to target Iran.
“We have no reason to think that a pact in which three Islamic countries and two Muslim neighboring countries are members is aimed against Iranians,” he said.
He said, however, that the discussions reflected growing concerns among regional states about US policies and their assessment that Washington’s primary concern in the region was protecting the illegitimate interests of Israel.
According to Baqaei, regional countries consequently recognized the need to develop indigenous mechanisms to protect the region from Israeli expansionism.
US rhetoric stems from desperation and miscalculation
Responding to remarks by the US Treasury secretary that an economic reckoning for Iran was approaching and that Washington would impose economic and trade sanctions, Baqaei said the various forms of US pressure over the past five decades have pursued the same objective.
“From crippling sanctions to maximum pressure and economic war, all pursue one goal, and that is to force a nation that has decided to stand on its own feet to surrender, a nation that has decided not to give up its rights and knows that these waves, whether in the form of war, terrorism or economic sanctions, all pursue one goal,” he said.
Baqaei argued that Iran has resisted those measures and would continue defending its rights.
“In all these fields, they have failed. Once again, the Iranian nation will show that it is determined and steadfast in safeguarding its rights,” he said.
He described recent US rhetoric as stemming from desperation and miscalculation, saying Washington had mistakenly believed military aggression could bring Iranians to their knees.
Baqaei also criticized instability in US policymaking, rejecting claims that Iran was an unreliable negotiating partner.
Iran, Iraq security interests are intertwined
Baqaei described Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s recent visit to Iraq as “very important,” citing the countries’ close ties and shared security interests.
He said Iran and Iraq should expand relations across all fields and work to transform their shared border into “secure borders, borders of friendship.”
He added that useful talks had been held between Ghalibaf and Iraqi officials and expressed hope that bilateral cooperation would continue in the interests of both countries.
Baqaei advises US sailors to return home
Addressing reports about difficult conditions facing US sailors and Marines aboard a US aircraft carrier, including reduced food supplies, poor sanitary conditions and severe fatigue and depression, Baqaei advised the American personnel to leave the region.
He urged them to return home, saying this would be the appropriate way for them to escape the difficult circumstances surrounding their deployment.

📌 Tehran, IRNA - Iran’s top security official warns that Tehran will regard any country’s participation in or support for America’s economic pressure campaign against the Iranian people as an act of war.

🔊 Iranian parliament slams Trump for distorting Ghalibaf’s remarks
📌 Tehran, IRNA – The media center of Iran’s parliament has strongly condemned US President Donald Trump for fabricating remarks by Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, saying Trump has used misinformation to conceal military defeat and mislead global public opinion.
In a statement issued on Monday, the media center criticized Trump’s “dirty media games” and his publication of false information about Ghalibaf’s recent remarks.
The full text of statement by the Iranian Parliament’s media center is as follows:
The liar US president that the number of his false statements has been estimated at 32,000, once again is trying to cover up his military failures and restore his reputation in the eyes of American people and world public opinion by fabricating news and playing dirty media games. By openly publishing a false statement about the words of the Iranian parliament Speaker on his personal page, US President continues spreading lies to get rid of the crisis he himself has created. He always tries to cover up his failures by lying and playing psychological games. Although the world's public opinion is familiar with Trump’s baseless claims and lies and does not attach importance to them, the full video of Dr. Qalibaf’s speech has been released to respect public opinion.
Iranian Parliament Speaker emphasized in a gathering of Iranian and Iraqi economic activists that the two countries should have a plan to win the economic war and defeat the sanctions through helping each other. He also stressed that the Americans were defeated in the military war with the power of Iran and Iraq and that is why they have resorted to cognitive and economic warfare.
He clarified that overcoming the sanctions has a solution and a way out, and economic activists are the commanders of this economic war because just as we must maintain our honor and dignity against the enemy at any cost, you economic commanders must also maintain the honor and dignity of the people by solving economic problems and overcoming sanctions.
He further noted that the duty of governments is also to remove obstacles and facilitate the work of economic commanders. Qlalibaf also added that security is more important than the economy because security is cornerstone of economy.
He said that we won the war and now it is the turn of economic commanders of the two countries to prevent the enemy from winning the economic war by overcoming sanctions and helping each other, and to this end a clear roadmap should be prepared.
Using national currencies for trade, trusting the private sector and effective financial turnover with attention to their activities and motivation, strengthening bilateral relations between two countries based on common historical and civilizational issues, exchanging and interacting with aligned countries, paying attention to domestic resources, planning for the proper use of land and sea border points, using modern commercial tools and moving away from traditional methods, etc. were among the points raised by Dr. Qalibaf to economic activists in the meeting.
He also reminded the economic activists that no matter how powerful militarily we are, if people are hungry and we do not have financial turnover, economic growth and national production, we will not survive.
He generally emphasizes the necessity of economic development alongside military power, and at the same time encourages economic activists in both countries in Iran and Iraq for investment and development. What he says is clearly different from directly admitting that "now w . . .

📄 IRGC pledges support for government in countering economic war
📌 Tehran, IRNA – The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) says it stands ready for broad strategic cooperation with the government to counter an economic war by the United States and help strengthen the country’s resilience against sanctions.
In a statement marking Government Week on Monday, the IRGC described closer coordination between the military force and the government as key to overcoming multilayered sanctions and external economic pressure.
Iran is facing an “unequal and all-out battle” with the front of global arrogance, particularly the United States and Israel, it said, adding that support from some regional countries had strengthened that front through their “stupid support.”
The IRGC said government support for national defense efforts and efforts to strengthen social resilience were a strategic necessity under current conditions.
It described economic warfare as the main arena of confrontation with Iran, saying sanctions were aimed at creating despair, putting pressure on people’s livelihoods and undermining social trust.
The statement called on government institutions, including those responsible for the economy, trade, oil, industry, agriculture, banking and diplomacy, to work to neutralize sanctions, manage markets, secure supplies of essential goods, control inflation and create jobs.
“Every step toward resolving livelihood challenges and ensuring a dignified life and reasonable welfare for the Iranian people is as valuable and decisive as a victory on the battlefield,” the statement said.
The IRGC also pointed to four decades of cooperation with the government in poverty alleviation, reconstruction and infrastructure development, saying such cooperation had helped the country overcome economic challenges and should be expanded under current conditions.
The elite force said it was ready to cooperate with the government in areas including economic security, logistical support, infrastructure development, poverty alleviation, combating smuggling and corruption, and helping manage economic and social crises.

📄 Iran warns of consequences for cooperation with US aggression
📌 Tehran, IRNA — Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei has warned that any cooperation with the United States in advancing aggressive actions against Iran will have consequences, stressing that the country’s diplomatic approach is continuously adapting to changing regional and international conditions.
Speaking at a weekly press conference in Tehran on Monday, Baqaei said Iran cannot conduct today’s diplomacy using methods developed a year ago, emphasizing that the country must continually strengthen its diplomatic capabilities to safeguard national interests and security. He described US economic pressure as economic warfare, saying Tehran has repeatedly warned that such measures constitute economic terrorism.
He said the United States is using various means to pressure Iranians because of their insistence on national sovereignty, independence, and dignity. Baqaei stressed that necessary warnings have been issued and will continue to be issued regarding cooperation with US actions against Iran.
Baqaei described the current maritime blockade of Iran as an act of aggression, warning that any escalation would have consequences. He said Iran is not powerless in confronting such measures and argued that other countries are not legally entitled to assist the United States in actions that violate international law and human rights.
Regarding Iranian nationals facing difficulties under US immigration policies, Baqaei said Iran is obligated to assist its citizens wherever they encounter problems. He described some of the measures against Iranian nationals as discriminatory and politically motivated.
He said some affected Iranians chose to return home, with Iran’s interests section facilitating their return. Baqaei stressed that Iranians have the right to return to their country whenever they choose.
Addressing concerns over damage to Iran’s energy infrastructure during the recent US–Israeli war on the Islamic Republic, Baqaei assured that all necessary measures are being taken to meet winter energy needs. He said the Oil Ministry is responsible for technical preparations, while the Foreign Ministry is conducting diplomatic talks with parties capable of supplying energy to Iran if necessary.
Baqaei said the detention of Iranian citizens and pilots in Kuwait and Qatar during the third imposed war against Iran involved violations of the 1949 Third Geneva Convention.
He welcomed the recent visit by Iran’s ambassador to Kuwait with four detained Iranian citizens, saying their health had been confirmed and calling for their swift release. Regarding three Iranian pilots in Qatar, he said Tehran would continue using bilateral and multilateral channels to clarify their fate.
On controversies surrounding geographical names during the Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf’s visit to Iraq, Baqaei said the Persian Gulf is a shared regional heritage and should be used to strengthen ties and unity rather than create division among neighboring countries.

🔻 Iran to use all avenues, capacities to counter US economic war: Baqaei
📌 Tehran, IRNA — Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baqaei referred to the continued illegal and unjust American sanctions against the country, saying Iran will definitely use all its bilateral and multilateral capabilities to counter the economic war launched by Washington.
In his weekly press briefing on Monday, Baqaei pointed to US President Donald Trump’s recent announcement about the “most crushing” economic operation ever against Iran, saying the Americans had tested and tried the same pressure tactic before but in vain.
He said the logic of the current rulers in Washington would not produce any different results, except showing the extent of enmity and resentment of the United States towards each Iranian because the Americans are well aware that these sanctions are directed at ordinary citizens.
Emphasizing that Iran would definitely use all multilateral capacities to confront the economic sanctions, Baqaei said Tehran had made the necessary predictions about the US economic war, which intends not only to attack national sovereignty, but also to destroy the free trade system between countries.
He said the US intimidation of countries to stop and limit their trade with another country, without any legal justification, was a disregard and violation of principles of international relations and the most important pillar of the UN Charter, which should be a wake-up call for all countries.
Regarding the US’s lawlessness and excessiveness, Baqaei reminded the countries about America’s behavior with its allies, saying the statements Trump made just a couple of days ago with Canada were a testimony of his stance toward his allies.
In response to a question about high-level visits from neighboring countries, Baqaei rejected any connection between Monday’s trip of Pakistan Army Chief, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Oman’s Foreign Minister, Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, who is scheduled to visit Tehran the next day.
He said Munir would be traveling to Tehran within the framework of distinguished relations between the two countries, as Iran–Pakistan ties are in their best stages, with both sides determined to expand the existing relations to a new level.
Baqaei said the top Omani diplomat’s arrival in Iran would be simultaneous in terms of time, but has no connection, as he would be discussing bilateral relations and issues related to the security of the Strait of Hormuz and its traffic routes, as the two coastal states of this waterway.
Baqaei also responded to the policy-making and governance amid the imposed war and its fallout, including economic pressure and livelihood problems, saying the country’s decision-makers take into account all the issues to avoid the negative consequences.
Saying that the United States is responsible for the existing situation, he said Iran had not initiated the war but was forced to take all possible paths to protect its sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity in the past two years.
The spokesperson said he did not want to go into the history of Iran’s negotiations with the United States and their breach of promises, whether the Iran nuclear deal signed in 2015, other negotiations, or the Islamabad memorandum of understanding, adding that the Americans had repeatedly responded to Iran’s goodwill with breaches of promises and agreements.

Speaking at his weekly press conference on Monday, Baqaei said the officials of the Islamic Republic have spoken very clearly about the seriousness and determination to defend Iran’s territory.
Responding to a question from IRNA’s correspondent about President Masoud Pezeshkian’s recent remarks that it would be better to end the war while Iran is in a position of strength, he rejected interpretations suggesting that the remarks reflected a willingness to make concessions to the country’s enemies.
“We will show no leniency toward the aggressors, because … the Islamic Republic of Iran did not start the war and has defended its right, territorial integrity and national sovereignty. Naturally, the aggressor must be held accountable. We certainly did not start the war, but we will not allow the war to end on the terms of the aggressor,” he said.
Baqaei said President Pezeshkian had repeatedly made clear that Iranians would not surrender to coercion or domination by the foes.
He added that the administration and all branches of the Iranian state had acted “with one voice and in unity” to defend the country during the 40-day war and during the earlier 12-day war.
It is not logical to look at these issues in isolation, Baqaei said, emphasizing that there was no doubt about the Iranian leadership’s determination at all levels to defend the country and reject the aggressor’s excessive demands.
He also addressed reports in Western media about the possibility of US bases in European countries being targeted if hostilities resume, as well as reports that US KC-135 refueling aircraft had left Bulgaria.
He explained that Iran had previously made its position on Bulgaria clear and confirmed that Tehran had heard reports that several US refueling aircraft had departed the country.
“From the outset, as many people and politicians in Bulgaria itself had stated, this action was contrary to international law, because we have no problem with the people of Bulgaria and this was, in a way, considered support for the military aggression of the United States and the Zionist regime against Iran,” he said.
Baqaei argued that countries allowing their bases, facilities and equipment to be used by the United States and Israel for military action against Iran could be regarded as participating in an act of aggression under international law.
“We hope that other countries that have in some way made their bases and facilities available to the United States and the Zionist regime to commit the crime of aggression against a member state of the United Nations will also take the necessary action,” he said.
The Iranian spokesperson said countries had no reason to be concerned about possible Iranian action unless they allowed their bases, facilities, or equipment to be used for unlawful acts by the aggressors.
“It is Iran’s right to target the source and origin of any act of aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran. This is part of international law, and as we have shown, in defending the existence of Iran, we will certainly show no leniency,” he said.
Baqaei also highlighted the Foreign Ministry’s efforts to reform its administrative system, saying measures had been underway since June 2025 in accordance with a 17-point directive.
He said a committee had bee . . .

⚡️ Persian Gulf Strait Authority warns violating ships will face ‘fines, detention, confiscation’
📌 Tehran, IRNA - The Persian Gulf Strait Authority (PGSA), Iran’s regulatory body for the Strait of Hormuz, has announced that vessels violating Iranian protocols for the strategic waterway will face restrictions on future passages, including fines, detention, or confiscation.
In a statement posted on its official X account on Sunday, the authority warned cargo owners shipping to and from the Persian Gulf to review the Non-Compliant Vessels (NCV) list prior to chartering in order to avoid potential issues.
The NCV list is available on the PGSA’s website, the authority said.
It warned that any vessel cooperating with listed vessels, including through ship-to-ship (STS) transfers or transshipment, will also be added to the list effective immediately.
To request removal from the list, vessels must submit a formal application with justifications to info@pgsa.ir, it added.
The announcement comes amid heightened tensions in the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global energy shipments, which Iran has closed in response to the US-Israeli aggression against the country.
