🟢Sample Passage

The Rise of Urban Farming
Urban farming is transforming cities worldwide. As populations grow, the demand for fresh, local produce has surged. In cities like Tokyo and New York, community gardens and high-tech hydroponic systems are thriving. However, challenges such as limited space and high startup costs remain. Despite these hurdles, urban farming continues to gain popularity, offering both environmental and social benefits.

🟢Practice Questions

-What is the main purpose of urban farming, according to the passage?
A. To increase city populations
B. To provide sustainable food solutions
C. To replace traditional farming entirely
D. To reduce the number of community gardens

-True or False: Urban farming helps reduce carbon emissions.

-Fill in the blank: In cities like Tokyo and New York, ____ systems are commonly used in urban farming.

✅Answer:

Hi, since the essay is long and it's too time consuming to address the whole essay, I'll just check "task achievement" of your approach in the introduction.

There are few things you should improve, to put it shortly, for example:
🔘You haven't paraphrased the whole prompt , you have mentioned that by English countries communicate with each other that's why it's important, but there's nothing about the local languages and how they're at risk of extinction.

🔘Don't say "in my opinion, I think.." it's awkward. Delete the I think part.
Same thing with every child and person, it makes your words not concise and harder to follow, use everyone instead.

🔘Also, your response (thesis statement) is not clear and it doesn't cover the whole parts of the question. You should answer all parts of the question and clearly state your position. The question says is English important? It says should we save local languages? And it says how? Meaning you should add a reason.

Since you haven't addressed these factors, I'd give band 5 to it based on IELTS band descriptions. I wrote this improved version of the introduction with potential band 7-8+ in task achievement 👇

In many educational systems, English is prioritized as a global language, often overshadowing local languages and putting them at risk of extinction. In my view, while learning English is essential for international communication and economic opportunities, preserving local languages is equally important to maintain cultural identity. A balanced approach, integrating both through education and cultural initiatives, is the most effective way to ensure their coexistence.
