◾27 years ago, on August 4, 1995, the Croatian Army launched "Operation Storm," an offensive to retake the Krajina region, which had been controlled by separatist ethnic Serbs since early 1991. The offensive, which lasted a mere thirty-six hours, resulted in the death of an estimated 526 Serbs, 116 of whom were reportedly civilians (this are the lower numbers recorded, other accounts talk about 600 civilians killed and 2000 Serb militants), and in the displacement of an estimated 200,000 who fled in the immediate aftermath.

🤔 The AFU attempted to attack the Black Sea Fleet naval base in #Novorossiysk with unmanned boats. The enemy drones were destroyed, but the incident reminds us again of the need to improve the security of our maritime infrastructure. One of the few short term solutions is the creation of a monitoring system for the Black Sea waters. Of course, from the air, in order to detect enemy drones while still on approach, not after the fact.

🗓 Around midnight, 2-4 Mugin-5 PRO UAV groups (at least 18) were launched near #Kherson, probably from #Chernobayevka airfield towards #Crimea.
▪️ One group moved via #Kalanchak towards #Armyansk and Cape #Tarkhankut, and the the other via #Chaplynka and #Chongar towards #Feodosiya. The first 6 UAVs were suppressed by electronic warfare (EW) over #Chaplynka.
▪️ Further, units of the 31st Air Defence Division worked on targets from Pantsir-S1 SAMs near #Krasnoperekopsk and Cape #Tarkhankut. 2 more were planted by EW near #Krasnoperekopsk and #Armyansk.
❗️The AFU main strike was concentrated on #Feodosiya, where Russian troops shot down 7 UAVs (3 with S-400 SAMs and 4 with ZU-23-2 guns), and 1 was suppressed by EW. 1 fell near an oil depot in the city, no damage data is available yet.
📌 The attack on #Feodosia is not accidental. Large oil reservoirs are located in this city (the fall of the UAV nearby indirectly indicates that they were targeted). There is also a power station, linking the power lines of #Crimea.
⚓️ Details of the attack on #Novorossiysk have also emerged.Uncrewed boat struck the left side of the "Olenegorsk Miner BDK". As a result, one of the compartments was flooded, but the ship remained afloat and will be restored after repairs.

🔹1. In the #Zaporozhye Direction, the enemy continued attacks in the area of #Pyatikhatki and #Rabotino. Suffered losses, no significant changes in the situation on the front. Instead of deep breakthroughs of the Russian defence, for two months now there has been a struggle for forest plantations, heights and pre-fields of the Russian defence.
📌 The enemy has not achieved a single operational objective during the two months of the offensive.
🔹2. On the #Vremyevka Ledge, a similar situation persists. The enemy is bogged down in fighting for #Staromayorskoye and #Urozhaynoye. Attempts to become more active near #Priyutnoye have not brought the enemy any success either. The hopes of the AFU to quickly break through to #Staromlynovka were in vain.
❗️As before, the AFU is trying to chew through the defences of the RF Armed Forces, which also completely contradicts the AFU's operational plans for the summer campaign. Scepticism in the West about the prospects of the AFU in the #Zaporozhye direction is growing.
📌 However, the AFU still has reserves for 3-4 weeks of active operations.
🔹3. In the #Artyomovsk Direction, there are no significant changes. To the northwest, the RF Armed Forces are firmly holding their positions. To the southwest, they still control #Kurdyumovka, #Andreyevka and #Klescheyevka.
❗️The enemy is actively preparing to resume assault operations.
