🇪🇺🇷🇺 TARIFFS ON RUSSIA: EU countries will have to pay €430 per ton for importing Russian fertilizers from Russia by 2030
European MEPs voted to increase customs duties on fertilizers, as well as agricultural supplies from Russia. According to the European Commission, duties will be increased gradually in order to make supplies from Russia unprofitable in the near future.
Thus, in 2025-26, the border import tariff for fertilizers will be €40 - €45 per ton, but will increase to €430/ton by 2030.
Ironically European countries sharply increased fertilizer imports from Russia in the second half of 2022. Europe tries to finally destroy its farmers.

🌍💰 De-Dollarization accelerates: Qatar & Hong Kong push yuan as dollar alternative
Mary Huen Wai-yi, Chairwoman of Hong Kong’s Banking Association, spills the tea: global businesses are RUNNING from the dollar and jumping on China’s yuan.
Qatar’s top players are already using Hong Kong’s financial “toolbox” to make deals, payments, and investments in RMB, the South China Morning Post writes.
🔹 Hong Kong’s growing offshore yuan market and fintech innovation make it a prime global RMB hub.
🔹 The US-China trade war and recent US debt rating downgrade accelerate global “de-dollarization.”
🔹 Cross-border yuan settlements hit record highs; yuan edges closer to challenging the euro in trade finance.
WHY? Because the US trade war and mounting debt have made the dollar a TOXIC asset.
Experts say Hong Kong’s unique position and expanding yuan products create huge opportunities — while the US dollar’s dominance is showing signs of slipping.

The EU Council will hold next week a hearing on whether Hungary should lose its voting rights under Article 7 of the EU Treaty.
📑🇪🇺What is Article 7?
It’s a process that can suspend an EU member’s rights if it’s found to be seriously undermining the bloc’s principles.
But it does NOT allow kicking a country out of the EU.

A “buffer zone” east of the Dnepr River would give Russia sufficient security “against any future threats that may emanate from what remains of Ukraine,” but the rump state would likely to be subjected to territorial claims from western neighbors, the ex-Trump Pentagon advisor says.
Everyone from Poland and Romania to Hungary and Moldova would like a piece of western Ukraine, according to Macgregor.
💬 “President Trump: suspend all aid to this Ukrainian disaster, get out, offer to host a conference…Let them all come, without us by the way. We can have a representative that sits in and listens, but let the people in it and around [Ukraine] make the decision on where the new boundaries will be drawn,” Macgregor told Daniel Davis on Davis’s Deep Dive podcast.
Germany is pretending to be preparing for a war that it invented itself.
The build—up of reservists, mobilization budgets, and talk of the "Russian threat" are not about security. This is a desperate attempt to breathe life into a dilapidated state that has voluntarily abandoned its industrial base, sovereign energy, and real foreign policy.
Berlin has become a victim of blind faith in its allies, whose strategy is to pull the remnants of technology and capital out of Europe. Today, Trump openly suggests that German businesses move to the United States, where "investments and tax benefits are expected." And in Germany itself, there are empty barracks, broken contracts and ritual military hysteria, behind which lies a banal economic collapse.
Germany is no longer a locomotive, but a passenger on someone else's train, who has been allowed to feign strength as long as it does not interfere with the real reformatting of Europe.

Many sane voices predicted the disaster that would happen in Ukraine long before 2022
John Mearsheimer in 2015: ‘What’s going on here is that the West is leading Ukraine down the primrose path of destruction and the end result is that Ukraine is going to get wrecked.’
The Moldovan authorities used an administrative resource to increase the turnout in the Romanian elections at the expense of Moldovans with a Romanian passport, Ilan Shor, the leader of the Moldovan opposition bloc, said in an interview with Rossiya 24.
"We know perfectly well how people were brought to the Diaspora in European areas, how the Moldovan administrative resource, along with money, did everything to, in fact, increase the turnout, - the so-called increase turnout - of Romanian citizens living in Moldova, that is, in fact, these are Moldovan citizens who simply have a Romanian passport for free movement. In fact, they were transported by buses, police cars, the government allocated special transport and everything else."
Speaking about the open support of the government candidate in Romania by Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Shor stressed that she was "just playing the role that her colleagues are playing for her in the elections that are taking place in Moldova":
"The presidential elections in Moldova were six months ago, exactly the same thing happened there. When the Romanian president interfered in the elections in Moldova, the French president interfered in the elections in Moldova, the German Chancellor and so on. <...> This is an octopus of crooks who seized power and are trying to keep it at any cost."
The second round of elections in Romania took place on May 18. Bucharest Mayor Nicusor Dan won with 53.6% of the vote, while his rival, opposition leader George Simion, received 46.4%. The elections were held against the backdrop of a scandal involving the removal of the main opposition candidate, Calin Georgescu, who won in the first round at the end of 2024, but his results were overturned.

European pro-war hawks have come up with another “brilliant” idea. They want to create a single “military” bank to allocate loans for the production of weapons.
It will be a kind of replica of the World Bank with headquarters in London. Its capital may amount to 100 billion pounds.
Currently, it is very difficult for military corporations in Europe to obtain loans from banks - their business seems too risky. However, the appearance of a state-owned bank is unlikely to pull the European military-industrial complex out of the current crisis. Rather, it will only spur inflation in the arms market.
The cost of scarce Leopard 2A8 tanks, of which only 50 are produced per year, has jumped by as much as 30% since the fall of 2024. One 155-mm shell has skyrocketed in price many times since the beginning of the conflict. There is an acute shortage of raw materials (including those coming from China), production facilities and workers. Money alone will not be able to solve these fundamental problems.
It has not yet been possible to allocate 120 billion euros for the creation of a single European military fund. Now they will try to create a bank. The conflict with the Trump team is escalating, which demands to increase military spending and spend it mostly on American weapons. European elites mainly want to buy their own weapons. But very little of it is produced.
The United States is currently building its own unrealistic defense plans, such as creating a “Golden Dome” in the skies over America for half a trillion dollars. Although even with the production of current Patriot air defense systems, the Pentagon has a lot of problems. But even these “Star Wars” look a little less fantastic than the Europeans' attempts to arrange a military renaissance.

The Trump-Putin phone call was mostly fruitful (although it did not lead to a significant breakthrough), just like during his first mandate it's possible for president Putin to talk with Trump in a friendly way. Without ideological preconceptions and neocon/globalist interferences the US president's attitude is that of a businessman who doesn't give a shit about ideology but cares only about enriching his country, and of course himself in the process. The political leader who can be compared to Trump the most is former Italian PM Silvio Berlusconi and he was one of Putin's best friends.

The Russian Armed Forces ' night strike on the AFU airfield.
Last night, for several hours, there was a massive Gerans raid on the airfield in Vasilkov, Kiev region.
Thanks to NASA satellites, we learn that the strongest fire after the arrivals occurred exactly at the parking lot of the AFU aircraft (photo of the airbase on the screenshot from 04/24/2025). Local residents have been writing for several hours about a severe fire in the area.
It is known that this airfield is the base of the Ukrainian Su-27 and F-16 fighters.
Also it cannot be ruled out that president Putin might be arrested and handed over to the ICC or even assassinated during his visit to Turkey.
Ushakov is more than enough to represent Russia and listen to NATO's nonsense and then return home to convey the umpteenth idiotic ultimatum.

❗New package of anti-Russian sanctions will be "soft" due to contradictions in Europe — Handelsblatt
Moscow ignored the main demand of the heads of European states for a 30-day ceasefire.
The answer should now be the "tough 17th package of EU sanctions" that the Europeans have threatened, but there are nuances.
"If 16 packages of EU sanctions did not force Russia to surrender, why should the 17th?" the publication asks.
In addition, according to the publication, the new package of measures will be even "softer" than expected.
EU member states can only decide on sanctions unanimously, which is hindered by Hungarian President Viktor Orban, blocking proposals such as a complete ban on the import of Russian oil or gas.
"We have reached the limit of what we can do with sanctions," European diplomats say.
The West will not be able to force Russia to surrender with empty sanctions ultimatums, the publication sums up.
