🇷🇺⚔️🇺🇦 Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service claims that Russia is allegedly preparing a “large-scale provocation with significant civilian casualties” to derail peace talks.
According to the claim, the supposed strike would take place either inside Russia or in territories controlled by Russia, with Ukraine then being blamed. The scenario allegedly involves displaying debris from Western-made drones to support the accusation.
The timing is said to coincide with Orthodox Christmas on January 7, or shortly before. A religious site is named among the possible targets.
“The location of the provocation could be a religious building or another site with high symbolic value both in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. To fabricate evidence of Ukraine’s involvement, fragments of Western-made strike UAVs are planned to be brought to the site from the line of contact,” the statement says.

🇺🇦 $2,000 to $5,000 per Vote: Anti-Corruption Prosecutors Expose Bribery Scheme in Ukraine’s Parliament
Ukraine’s Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP) has disclosed details of a corruption scheme in parliament, under which five MPs from Zelensky’s Servant of the People party have been formally charged.
According to SAP, bribe payments to MPs were calculated based on their “voting efficiency.” This was determined by how many draft resolutions and laws each MP supported, as well as their attendance at plenary sessions.
Investigators say individual MPs received between $2,000 and $20,000, with the total amount distributed reaching at least $145,000.
SAPO states that from September to November 2022, bribes were paid at $2,000 per period, while from August 2025 onward, the amount increased to $5,000.
The money was typically distributed once a month, usually on Thursdays at the start of the following month, after MPs had carried out instructions from the scheme’s organizer.

Starting December 29, the PLA Eastern Theater Command organized forces from the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Rocket Force to conduct the “Just Mission 2025” exercise in the Taiwan Strait, northern Taiwan, southwestern Taiwan, southeastern Taiwan, and areas east of Taiwan.
The exercise focuses on sea and air combat readiness patrols, seizing comprehensive control, blockade and control of key ports and areas, and layered long-range strike and interdiction operations.
Multiple forces approached Taiwan Island as the situation required, with joint assault operations by stationed units, aimed at testing the theater command’s joint combat capabilities under real combat conditions.
This is a serious warning to Taiwan independence separatist forces and external interference forces, and a legitimate and necessary action to safeguard national sovereignty and uphold national unity.

🇺🇦On New Year's Eve railway facilities from the Odessa region and Volyn to Sumy were subjected to attacks, according to Deputy Prime Minister Kuleba.
As a result of the attacks, the buildings of the locomotive depot in Kovel were damaged, with seven drones hitting its territory. The station in Konotop, where cargo wagons were hit, was also subjected to an aerial attack.
In addition, the logistical infrastructure of the Odessa region was affected. There is still a threat of repeated attacks there, which complicates the restoration work.
The attacks did not affect train traffic, added Kuleba.

The outgoing year, which became pivotal in the battle for Donbas, ended with the liberation of Hulyaipole. Despite numerous AFU counterattacks, Far Eastern warriors established full control over the city by the end of December.
🔻How was Hulyaipole liberated?
▪️Units of the 5th and 35th armies forcefully crossed the Haichur River and in the second decade of December established control over the headquarters of the enemy's 102nd Territorial Defense brigade in the center of Hulyaipole.
By this point, the AFU defense in the sector had practically collapsed. By December 27, Russian troops had occupied the entire city and raised dozens of flags and battle standards.
▪️At the same time, south of the city, Russian assault troops drove the enemy from positions near a farm by December 23 and advanced toward the R-85 highway.
After liberating the city, they began eliminating the "pocket" that formed in this sector and by the end of the third decade of the month occupied several more treelines.
