* הגמרא דוחה את האפשרות לטעון שטענת "תנו לי בעלי ואשמח עמו" (שבאמירה זו היא רוצה לפטור עצמה מלהשיב את מעות הקידושין כשמת בעלה) שנויה במחלוקת תנאים. (ומבארת הגמרא שלדעת כולם יכולה לטעון כך).
* הגמרא מביאה שנחלקו התנאים אם "קידושין לטיבועין ניתנו" (אם אדם שנותן מעות קידושין לארוסתו, אם נותנם על מנת שלא לקבלם בחזרה אף אם תמות ולא יזכה לשאת אותה). (ובנוסף מביאה את דעת רבי יוסי שמסתפק מה הדין).

* הגמרא מביאה דינים רבים העוסקים בדיני השושבינות.
* כולם צריכים את בעל החיטים, כי אין אדם יכול לחיות בלא החיטה, וכך גם כולם צריכים את זה שלמד גמרא.
* לדעת רב: "כל ימי עני רעים" - זה בעל תלמוד, "וטוב לב משתה תמיד" - זה בעל משנה, ולדעת רבא: הפוך. (והגמרא מביאה ארבע דרשות נוספות של אמוראים על פסוק זה).
