The Iranians said the meeting between Mr. Musk and Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani lasted more than an hour and was held at a secret location. The Iranians, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss policy publicly, described the meeting as “positive” and “good news.”

The incoming Trump administration is already preparing to dramatically increase its capacity to detain illegal immigrants as part of the massive deportation operation it has pledged to launch in January, Fox News Digital has confirmed -- the latest sign that it plans to deliver on that promise.
President-elect Trump said during the campaign that he intends to launch a historic mass-deportation campaign in the wake of the historic migrant crisis at the southern border. It is a promise that he and top officials have repeated since his election victory last week.
Karoline Leavitt, a spokeswoman for the transition team told Fox News Digital: "The American people re-elected President Trump by a resounding margin, giving him a mandate to implement the promises he made on the campaign trail. He will deliver."
NBC News reported this week that the Trump administration is considering locations where it can expand immigration detention centers and that the transition team is looking at how many migrants can be held in regions across the country and talking to private prison companies about expansion.

A former linebacker with the Detroit Lions and DC Defenders was arrested Thursday for allegedly assaulting police at the U.S. Capitol during the Jan. 6 riot.
Leander Antwione Williams, 31, was arrested in Savannah, Georgia, on felony charges of civil disorder and assaulting, resisting or impeding police, along with multiple misdemeanor charges. The criminal complaint against him, filed in federal court in D.C. on Nov. 7, was the first new Capitol riot case to be filed since former President Donald Trump won reelection to the White House.
According to charging documents, Williams can be seen in open source video and police bodyworn camera pulling bike rack barricades away from police and striking an officer on the head with his arm. Investigators said other video shows Williams grabbing and struggling with a USCP and MPD officer.
After helping the mob take the West Plaza, investigators said Williams joined in chants of “U.S.A.!” and then made his way to the Lower West Terrace, where other rioters fought with police for hours in an effort to enter the building. According to charging documents, Williams remained on Capitol grounds until the evening.

Marn'i Washington, the FEMA worker who was removed from her position after it was revealed that she told hurricane relief workers to skip homes in Florida in the wake of Milton that had Trump signs, told Fox News’s Trace Gallager that workers were allowed to skip these homes if they felt "uncomfortable," similar to if a home has "loose dogs."
Washington said the orders to skip these homes came from someone else, adding, "When I first reported to Florida, I was already on another team. I was there as a specialist. This was the culture. They were already avoiding these homes based on community trends from hostile political encounters. It has nothing to do with the campaign sign, it just so happened to be part of a community trend."
She says in addition to FL & NC FEMA avoided pro-Trump homes in GA.

The expected pick, which will roil many public health experts, comes after Trump promised to let Kennedy “go wild” with health and food policy in his administration after Kennedy dropped his own presidential bid to endorse the now-president-elect. As the Director of JTFV, John led a team of AUSAs and law enforcement officers from across the country, and secured significant indictments against MS-13’s command and control structure across the United States, Central America and Mexico, including the first use of national security charges against MS-13 leaders. In addition to his work combatting MS-13, John has prosecuted defendants who attempted to travel to Yemen for the purpose of joining al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula (AQAP) and fighting jihad against United States allies, and members of numerous other violent criminal organizations, including the Bloods, 18th Street gang, Crips, Salvadorans With Pride and violent narcotics trafficking and robbery crews. A federal judge rejected Sean “Diddy” Combs’ attempt to silence all potential witnesses in his criminal sex trafficking case on Friday, saying his concerns do not outweigh an alleged victim’s right to free speech.
Combs’ team moved for a gag order to stop potential witnesses and their attorneys from speaking publicly after more than a dozen civil lawsuits were filed alleging sexual assault and following media interviews one witness gave after he appeared before the grand jury.
Judge Arun Subramanian said he is balancing Combs’ right to a fair trial with the First Amendment rights of his alleged victims.
“Not all alleged victims will be participants in this case, and a blanket restriction on their speech will silence individuals who may never have anything to do with the proceedings here. And in any event, less restrictive alternatives must be considered and rejected before imposing a restraint on speech,” Judge Subramanian wrote in the order.
