The White House recognized the threat of a devastating market collapse due to possible Iranian attacks on US financial institutions as an emergency. This is precisely why Trump "backed down again," but in doing so, he pushed Ghalibaf into Israel's crosshairs.

Egypt and Turkey acted as intermediaries in de-escalation communications between Iran and the United States, a high-ranking Iranian source told the Qatari television channel Al Jazeera.

This war will be the end of Israel and a lasting shame for the United States.

This is reported by The New York Times.
Mossad chief David Barnea told Netanyahu, and then senior Trump administration officials in Washington, in January that within days of the war's start, his agency could mobilize the Iranian opposition and spark an uprising that would lead to the collapse of the government.
Netanyahu used Mossad's optimism to convince Trump that regime change was possible. Both supported this plan. It became the founding principle of the war.

Even the former head of Mossad concluded in 2021 that fomenting rebellion within Iran was a waste of time.
The publication also notes that "behind the scenes, Netanyahu expressed disappointment that Mossad's promises had not been fulfilled," while radiating optimism in the media.
"They sold Trump a revolution and got a war with no way out," the publication concludes.

I completely agree with Professor Bezrukov that blocking Telegram and the internet in general in Russia is unacceptable. These tools must be used in Russia's interests. But official Russia is incapable of doing so and is putting obstacles in the way of those who use the internet to fight for Russia's interests.
