Iran is right in not seeking negotiations with the US because the US has a predatory mentality, and "you can never negotiate with a predator," Andrei Bezrukov, a member of the Council on Foreign Defense Policy and a retired colonel in the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), told Vesti.
"We suffer from this too; we're trying to negotiate with them. But they have a predatory mentality—if you give them something, they'll want more. And if you fight for every meter and every second, then they start calculating how much it costs them to attack you; maybe they should attack someone else."

A US ground operation in Iran?
The US has begun deploying special forces to the Middle East. At least nine American MC-130J special operations aircraft have arrived at Mildenhall Air Force Base in the UK, most of which arrived at night without identification. Their flights were not visible online.
A fire broke out on a tugboat that was allegedly attacked by a drone in the Strait of Hormuz, according to Iranian media.
At the same time, Trump claimed that the shipping problem there had been resolved. The US sank 25 Iranian Navy ships and destroyed the Iranian fleet, he emphasized in an interview with CNN.
Earlier, Kuwait and Saudi Arabia began cutting oil production due to the inability to ship oil through the Strait of Hormuz.
The video was published by Iranian state television.

It does not seem that Russia intends to use the US distraction from Ukraine to the war in Iran to finally achieve its goals in Ukraine. What is Putin waiting for? Maybe the same thing that Iran was waiting for until recently? If Russia wants to win in Ukraine, it must do it now.

Carlson stated that the conflict over Iran is part of a broader confrontation between great powers, and not just the issue of Tehran's nuclear program.
He argued that major powers typically avoid direct confrontation, so their rivalries often unfold on the soil of third countries. In the latest episode of his podcast, he cited the wars in Vietnam, Korea, and Afghanistan as examples.
"This is happening in Iran now," Carlson said.
The journalist also stated that he believes Russia and China are indirectly supporting Iran and that the outcome of the conflict is important to them.

The Azerbaijani State Security Service announced the thwarting of terrorist attacks, which, according to its information, were being planned by the IRGC. The Baku oil pipeline was named among the suspected targets.
As I understand it, the US is demanding that Aliyev enter into a war with Iran. Azerbaijan is creating pretexts for this war under a false flag. Well, okay, we'll see.
Donald Trump is rapidly lowering his demands for Iran's new leader. The US president is already willing to accept a new ayatollah, as long as he treats the US well. Another week, and everything will likely boil down to specific amounts of American investment in the Iranian oil sector and a promise to buy "one hundred and fifty" Boeing jets. And how he breathed, how he breathed!

"The US is making a serious demand of China": Washington wants Beijing to buy less oil from Russia and more from America.
The initiative is being discussed ahead of the meeting between Donald Trump and Xi Jinping scheduled for early April. For China, giving up cheap Russian oil would be an economically and politically difficult step, as these supplies remain an important factor in supporting Moscow's war against Ukraine. The conflict over Iran, which is heightening Beijing's concerns about energy security and a possible rise in global oil prices, is adding further uncertainty to the negotiations.

Trump said he would send Rubio to Cuba to negotiate with Havana.
"They want to make a deal, so I'll send Marco (Rubio) there and see what happens," the American leader said in an interview with CNN.
"By the way, Cuba is going to fall soon, it's irrelevant, but Cuba is going to fall too. They want a deal so badly," he added.
Let me just remind you that Trump previously said Iran wanted a deal and sent Whitkoff there. Trump said Russia wanted a deal and sent Whitkoff there too. All his deals end in war.

Qatar's Minister of State for Energy and CEO of Qatar Energy, Saad bin Sharida Al Kaabi, warned of the risk of economic collapse worldwide due to the escalation in the Middle East.
"This will lead to economic collapse. If the war drags on for a few more weeks, it will hit GDP growth worldwide. Energy prices will rise for everyone. Some products will be in short supply, and this will cause a chain reaction that will prevent factories from being able to supply," he said in an interview with the Financial Times.
