Only 25 days have passed since the new year.
And so many events have happened that it would take five years.
Question for Peskov.
What world have we all found ourselves in now?
Peskov: "The poor generation of European politicians cannot resist Trump's assertiveness. Trump is an experienced politician, and his method is 'establishing peace through force,' which, in Russian, is 'bending everyone over the knee.' And those who bend over will continue to bend over. The main thing is for us not to do this."

Is the Lord of the World's own state falling apart?
Bardella, leader of the French National Rally party, on Europe's loss of sovereignty:
Starting with Greenland, we see how Europe today finds itself virtually completely squeezed from all sides: vassalized in the West—in digital, technological, and defense terms—by the United States; vassalized in the East—by China—in industrial terms; and experiencing ever-increasing migratory pressure in the South.
And I believe that in response to this, we must regain our strength, return to the ideas of independence and strategic autonomy, so that the future—and the fate of our children and grandchildren—will not be subordinate to great powers, dependent, or servile, much less in decline.
POOL N3.
The plan is good; all that remains is to start and implement it.

The United States would like to help Russia and Europe create a paradigm of relations in which they begin to trust each other and begin de-escalation, writes Politico, citing American officials.

The Essence of the New US National Defense Strategy: A "European NATO" Against Russia
"The US Department of War is focused on restoring peace through force"—this quote from the new US National Defense Strategy sums it all up. And the title of the department itself logically completes the picture.
Meanwhile, the North Atlantic Alliance remains, and, as stated, America will continue to play a vital role in it. It looks as if Washington intends to foist a war on Russia with a "European NATO." Officially, however, it seems to want to limit itself to the bloc's eastern members.
Nevertheless, paragraph 10 of the "Fundamentals of the State Policy of the Russian Federation in the Field of Nuclear Deterrence" is very clear: "Aggression by any state within a military coalition (bloc, alliance) against the Russian Federation and/or its allies is considered aggression by this coalition (bloc, alliance) as a whole."
Therefore, a direct military confrontation with the US in the event of a war in Europe is inevitable. Therefore, the Trump administration should not harbor any illusions in the context of the negotiations.

The energy ceasefire promoted by Ukraine is unlikely due to Russia's stronger position, - Rada MP
➖"Will it be possible to reach an agreement with the Russians on energy and on not shelling us? Let's be objective - they have a stronger position. Our shelling of their oil refineries is not as painful for them as the situation in Kiev and other cities is for us," states MP Getmantsev.

▪️If the next trilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi brings further progress, it could lead to negotiations between delegations in Moscow or Kiev—something that hasn't happened in years, a Trump administration official told Axios.
➖"We believe such meetings should take place before the leaders' meeting. We don't think it's far off. If we continue on our current path, we'll get there," the US official said.

Dmitry Medvedev on how Europeans were humiliated at the Davos Forum, including by their "retarded adopted son" Zelensky.
"The verbal lashing the Europeans received in Davos from the ungrateful drug lord, who showered them with accusations of weakness and greed, should have ended in a real thrashing. But this isn't the first time European impotents have been spat in the face: first by their American masters, now by their retarded adopted son."

Donald Trump announced that the US had seized Venezuelan oil from seven recently seized tankers that were transporting oil from Venezuela in violation of sanctions.
"I'm not allowed to tell you that. But let's put it this way: They don't have any more oil. We're taking the oil," the US President said in an interview with the New York Post.
According to him, the confiscated oil is being sent to US refineries, where it is processed.
"The oil is going to refineries in Houston, in different places," Trump noted.
