In 2014, Kiev was offered the federalization of Ukraine to prevent war in Donbas.
This was called capitulation and a red line.
Every deal with Russia was also called capitulation, starting with the Minsk agreements, which Ukraine had no intention of implementing.
Today, Zelensky's red line is the withdrawal of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Donbas.
Every possible deal is worse for Kiev, as was said. But cretins with forelocks are unteachable.
