Any attempt to radically alter the balance requires going beyond the current configuration of war—with a qualitative escalation in terms of means, scale, or the status of war itself (the nuclear threshold).
Such a transformation entails significant political and systemic costs and therefore is not an automatic instrument of victory.
Or even a guarantee of victory. This is understood solely as the complete achievement of the military objectives declared on February 24, 2022.
This is not the end of the war or its resolution, but rather the fixation of a stage—a transition to a stage of the war at which military logic has exhausted its ability to dictate the outcome, but has not yet lost its ability to influence the terms of the "deal."

Greenland will reject any deal between Trump and Rutte that includes American access to the island's resources.
Politico reports this, citing Greenland's Minister of Mineral Resources, Naadja Nathanielsen.
Rutte and Trump previously announced that they had reached an agreement that would grant the US unrestricted access to local mineral deposits and allow the establishment of military bases.
