Everyone understands that this is oil and the intention to establish US power, at least in the Western Hemisphere.
Maduro on Putin's support:
Today I received a call from Russia. I had a long conversation with our elder brother, friend, and brave man, Russian President Vladimir Putin. He told me—by the way, we talked quite a bit—that he wanted to express his admiration for the Venezuelan people, for their example of courage in the face of the circumstances in which you have lived.
He noted that Russia has consistently supported Venezuela, me, and our efforts to defend national sovereignty and peace throughout the South American region.

Kieiv is pushing various versions of the peace plan with the goal of scuttling any agreements and blaming Russia, said former Ukrainian Prime Minister Azarov.
He called Zelensky's new version of the peace plan "absolutely untenable."

This is clear to everyone. The US wants to withdraw from the war with Russia. Europe and Ukraine want to continue the war. Russia is ready. The war will end when Russia achieves its stated goals in Ukraine. That is, when Nazi Ukraine disappears. If Europe wants to disappear along with Ukraine, then Russia is ready for that too.
The Russian army is advancing in Gulyaipole.

Senior US officials will meet in Paris on Saturday with delegations from Ukraine, France, Germany, and the UK, according to Axios.
According to sources, Ukraine, Germany, France, and the UK will be represented by their national security advisers. It remains unclear whether US Secretary of State Marco Rubio will attend.
I was just thinking about it: in order to exit the war with Russia in Ukraine—which is precisely what the US intends to do—the US will have to leave NATO. Because NATO has no intention of leaving this war.
A difficult question for Rutte: You've strongly emphasized the ongoing and constant threat Russia poses to Europe, but you've also mentioned that Russia is also a threat to the United States. On the other hand, the most recent National Security Strategy published by the White House doesn't even call Russia a threat. On the contrary, it states that we want to stabilize relations with Russia. This stands in stark contrast to the outcome of the Hague Summit, which identified Russia as the main threat to NATO. How, as NATO Secretary General, do you plan to reconcile these two positions? And have you already discussed the content of the National Security Strategy and these two opposing approaches to Russia with President Trump?
Rutte did not answer the question. Rutte believes that NATO protects the United States. I believe Trump has said the opposite.

What kind of circus is going on? I remember Trump saying about Europe during his first term: "We protect you, and you buy billions of dollars' worth of oil and gas from Russia." Well, now they're not buying from Russia; they're buying from the US at three times the price. Isn't it the US that's causing this economic decline in Europe?
Former Trump adviser Steve Cortes: Pres Trump is exactly correct.
Zelensky is thoroughly corrupt, and must be forced by the United States to both end the war AND have elections in Ukraine!".
The key word here is " be forced." However, the US is making no attempt to force Ukraine to end the war. The US continues to supply Ukraine with all its intelligence, communications Starlink, and weapons. Is that what you call "be forced" Steve?

Well, the US made the right decision in withdrawing from this war. All that remains is to carry out this intention.

Zelensky wants Ukrainians to VOTE on 'issue of territories'
'I believe that people of Ukraine will answer question, in format of ELECTIONS or in format of a REFERENDUM'
Any opportunity to delay peace as long as possible.
RT News.
What the hell kind of vote are we talking about? Are those Ukrainians the Russians are currently fighting going to vote? So they'll vote that they want Donbas, Kuban, and Stavropol Krai, and then what? This is pure idiocy. Who's the idiot here? I don't understand who this nonsense is aimed at.
"According to the Constitution, the Ukrainian president's term has expired, so elections must be held": The Kremlin supports Trump's demands for legitimate elections in Ukraine
Video: Ruptly
It's unclear what kind of elections are being referred to. If elections are to be held after a peace agreement is signed and the war ends, then they can hold them however they want. But if elections are held now, Zelensky will demand the same ceasefire he demanded before. Will Russia agree to a ceasefire? Putin and Lavrov have repeatedly stated that Russia will not agree, that Russia needs peace, not a ceasefire. That's the first thing. And secondly, elections are democracy. And where have you seen democracy in Ukraine, where government officials seize people right off the streets, who then die and disappear without a trace? It's clear that this government will fabricate any outcome it desires. All this talk about peace and elections is irrelevant. What matters is what happens on the front lines. And on the front lines, Russia is advancing and winning.

"We voluntarily surrendered to survive."
Captured Ukrainian serviceman Mikhail Beletsky recounted how his group was left without supplies or assistance from their own command.
"We spent 12 days in a house, our mission being to observe the road. We carried four magazines of ammunition each. Water and food were delivered by a " Baba Yaga" drone. We asked for food to be delivered, but in 12 days, they only came three times," the prisoner recalls.
Driven to the brink by their command, the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers voluntarily surrendered to simply survive.
"We were sitting in the house and felt someone coming. We looked – it was four Russian soldiers. We knocked on the window, said we were surrendering, left our weapons, and went out to them. "The Russians gave us a smoke, water to drink, and whatever food they had with them," the prisoner says.
Beletsky is confident that he made the right choice in surrendering.
