The United States has decided to create a nuclear weapon that will be 24 times more powerful than the bomb dropped on Japan, Fox News reports.
The newest thermonuclear bomb B61-13 will be produced in the United States in May.
Acting head of the National Nuclear Security Administration Teresa Robbins said at a congressional hearing that the first production samples are expected to be received almost a year ahead of schedule. This is reported by Defense Daily.
