Urgent Appeal from Norbury Muslim Centre - Help Free Sister Aafia, 1 million signatures needed by 16/01/25
Our sister Aafia Siddiqui has endured a 20-year nightmare of torture, sexual abuse, and isolation in custody, with an 86-year sentence remaining. We now have a critical opportunity to act. Aafia's lawyer, Clive Stafford Smith, has urged us to obtain another 460k signatures in the next 10 days to present to the Pardons Attorney before President Biden leaves office in January 2025.
Many local Imams such as Sheikh Suleiman Gani, Sheikh Ziyad Batha, and Imam Omid Aziz have been actively supporting this campaign and urging the community to stand with our sister.

It is NMC's pleasure to host Dr Tahseen Qureshi, a Consultant General Surgeon from Dorset.
Dr Qureshi has been visiting Gaza regularly since 2019 with the charity Medical Aid for Palestinians. He has recently returned from Gaza and will share with us his experiences of travelling to Gaza as a medic, pre and post Oct 7th, and what the future holds for Gaza from a healthcare perspective.
