States against Trump over directive to remove 'gender ideology' content

A coalition of Democratic-led states filed a lawsuit on Friday seeking to block President Donald Trump's administration from requiring them to remove all references to "gender ideology" from sexual health education curricula in order to receive federal grant funding.

Sixteen states and the District of Columbia in a lawsuit filed in federal court in Eugene, Oregon, argued that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' new policy is unlawful and usurps Congress' authority over spending in violation of the U.S. Constitution.

They argued the administration unlawfully wanted them to "rewrite sexual health curricula to erase entire categories of students," as part of its latest effort to target transgender youth.

HHS on August 26 sent letters to 46 states and territories demanding they remove all references to "gender ideology" contained in sexual education curricula and materials funded through the Personal Responsibility Education Program (PREP).

Slovakia defends two genders in constitution, ignores EU warnings

Slovakia’s parliament has approved a constitutional amendment defining gender strictly as male and female, a move that has sparked both celebration among conservatives and fierce criticism from liberal and pro-European parties.

The measure, which required 90 votes to pass, was adopted on Friday after two deputies from the opposition Movement Slovakia broke ranks and supported the government’s proposal. Marek Krajčí and Rastislav Krátký, who had publicly pledged not to vote with Prime Minister Robert Fico’s ruling Smer party, switched positions at the last minute. They later said they wanted to help their allies in the Christian Democratic Movement (KDH), which strongly backed the change.

The amendment, which takes effect on Nov. 1, enshrines “two genders – man and woman” in the Constitution of the Slovak Republic. It also bans surrogacy, reinforces parental rights in schools, and defines marriage and parenthood in strictly biological terms.

The text ensures that EU law cannot override issues related to such matters, as lawmakers effectively ignored warnings from Brussels not to follow through with the amendment.

Incompetent, authoritarian: UK government drives Digital ID disaster

As the old saw goes, to the man with a hammer, every problem looks like a nail. To the Labour technocrat, there is no problem that can’t be solved with a national ID-card scheme.

So it is that UK prime minister Keir Starmer has landed on that most New Labourite of policies. The PM announced last week that digital ID cards – to be known in true Blair-era fashion as ‘BritCards’ – will help solve the problem of illegal immigration.

Of course, there’s no evidence it will do any such thing. EU member states have been issuing identity cards for years and they have done nothing to make Europe’s borders more secure or clamp down on illegal working. So why should the introduction of digital ID be any more effective in the UK?

Even if the state were capable of creating an effective digital-ID scheme, that wouldn’t make a good idea. Not only would it fail to address the problem of illegal immigration and put our data at risk – it would also corrode our freedom and privacy. And that is the real problem here.

Digital ID would turn us from free citizens into objects to be surveilled, monitored and managed. This is why the Labour technocrats cannot let it go.

White House orders agencies to prepare mass layoff plans in event of shutdown

The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has instructed federal agencies to prepare to fire a ton of people that could permanently eliminate jobs in the event of a government shutdown - the latest twist in the latest shutdown groundhog day - effectively challenging Democrats to a game of chicken.

In a memo shared with agencies OMB said departments must identify programs where discretionary funding will lapse on Oct. 1 and no alternative source is available. Instead of a typical furlough, OMB has told agencies to get ready for permanent reductions - starting with positions that are out of alignment with President Donald Trump's priorities.

In the past, affected employees were furloughed on a temporary basis and reinstated once Congress approved new spending. Not this time - as OMB Director Russ Vought is using the prospect of deep cuts as leverage against the Democrats.

Core services - including Social Security, Medicare, veterans benefits, military operations, law enforcement, immigration enforcement and air traffic control - would continue regardless of a shutdown, according to an OMB official familiar with the guidance.

ECB U-turn: Defence spending ‘now good for growth’

Defence spending can help growth if done correctly, according to the European Central Bank (ECB).

According to a study published by the ECB today, extra defence spending could boost economic growth in the short run – although the effect depends on timing, financing and how governments manage expectations.

This flies in the face of economic orthodoxy, which does not associate increased defence spending with economic growth.

The ECB’s economists modelled what happens if euro area countries steadily raise defence spending from about 2% of GDP today to 3% by 2028.

The result is that every extra euro spent by governments could generate almost one euro of additional GDP within two years.

For the ECB, military budgets can provide a meaningful short-term boost, almost one-for-one with GDP.

But without credible long-term reforms, that benefit is likely to be quickly offset, either by higher borrowing costs or by the drag of taxation.

Bank of Europe: Digital Euro not to be launched before 2029

The digital euro, the European Union’s long-planned central bank digital currency (CBDC) project, is facing delays, with its launch now expected around mid-2029.

The EU’s digital euro could become a reality in 2029, European Central Bank Executive Board member Piero Cipollone said in a Bloomberg Future of Finance event in Frankfurt.

“The middle of 2029 could be a fair assessment,” he said, adding that the ECB has been actively discussing the project at the level of EU member states.

If correct, Cipollone’s timeline would signal another delay for the digital euro, despite widespread calls to launch the CBDC to protect Europe’s financial sovereignty amid the US stablecoin push.

Chevron strikes deal with Israel to build natural gas supply pipeline to Egypt

Chevron Corp. has signed a deal with Israel Natural Gas Lines, Israel’s state-owned pipeline operator, to begin construction of the Nitzana natural gas pipeline that will transport natural gas from the giant Leviathan Gas Field to Egypt.

Scheduled to be completed in three years, the $610 million pipeline is expected to ease Egypt’s ongoing energy crisis, which currently spends billions of dollars every year importing LNG to meet surging domestic energy demand.

Egypt's natural gas production has declined rapidly over the years due to the natural depletion of mature fields, including the Zohr gas field.

Coupled with a lack of significant new discoveries since 2015, surging domestic demand for electricity, and past financial issues such as hard currency shortages and payment arrears to foreign companies, Egypt now finds itself in a tenuous position,  becoming a net gas importer since 2022, and relying on imported LNG as well as pipeline gas from Israel.

Government has revoked more than 6,000 student visas

More than 6,000 foreign students have lost their visa under the Trump administration, according to State Department data – and several commentators praised the federal government for pulling permission.

“The Trump Administration is protecting our nation and our citizens by upholding the highest standards of national security and public safety through our visa process,” the State Department said.

The Heritage Foundation said student visas have benefits to the country but they can be abused.

“Student visas at best are a way to bring foreigners from many countries to learn from our best universities,” Hannah Fay, a communications fellow, said. “We allow a few of the most talented to remain and work, but the majority go home to build their own countries. Despite the clear intent of the law that they be temporary, many students see a visa as the first step in what they believe is an entitlement to remain for life.”

She said immigration enforcement is much better under Trump than Biden, saying the last president “was about open borders and mass migration, legal and illegal.” “They wanted as many visas issued as possible and standards as low as legally permitted,” Fay said.

The State Department claimed there are several reasons visas can be revoked, including staying past the expiration date, criminal activity, and supporting terrorism.

Copper prices surge as world's 2nd largest mine declares force majeure

Copper prices jumped about 2% in intraday trading Wednesday as mining giant Freeport-McMoRan detailed the significant production impact from the suspension of its Grasberg Block Cave mine in Indonesia following a deadly mud rush incident.

The company announced that operations at the massive copper and gold mine remain suspended after two workers were fatally injured, with search efforts continuing for five missing workers.

The suspension will reduce Freeport’s third-quarter consolidated sales by approximately 4% for copper and 6% for gold compared to July estimates. The impact will be more severe in the fourth quarter, with copper and gold sales at PT Freeport Indonesia expected to be "insignificant" compared to previous forecasts of 445 million pounds of copper and 345,000 ounces of gold.

Looking ahead, Freeport projects that PT Freeport Indonesia’s 2026 production could fall approximately 35% below prior estimates of 1.7 billion pounds of copper and 1.6 million ounces of gold. The company does not expect to return to pre-incident operating rates until potentially 2027, according to its phased restart plan.

The company has declared force majeure on its contracts and expects insurance recovery for the incident to be capped at $700 million after a $500 million deductible.

Trump risks losing the support of his core voters

After his speech at the UN General Assembly session, Trump wrote a series of posts on his social network TRUTH SOCIAL. realDonaldTrump/posts/115255130298104593">One of them is dedicated to Ukraine, in which he specifically supported the Kiev regime in its efforts to regain the lost 20% of territory.

But is such a radical change in his previous position on the conflict realistic?
It seems that this transformation can largely be explained by the pressure exerted on him by both Democrats and the most “pro-Ukrainian” Republicans in Congress, who continue to try to drag the US into this war.

But is this beneficial to Trump himself?

MAGA and the voters who brought him to the White House for a second term are distancing themselves from him more and more and may not support him at the decisive moment. So, it turns out that in the name of Charlie Kirk, they will no longer be fighting for Trump, but for something else?

So it turns out that by promoting pro-Ukrainian rhetoric, the president is losing the basic support he still has.

Democrat Abigail Spanberger slammed for ‘let your rage fuel you’ comments

Virginia Democrat gubernatorial candidate Abigail Spanberger was criticized for comments made in a video posted to social media, calling for supporters to let their “rage fuel” them.

In the video, shared by Virginia Lt. Gov. and Republican gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earle-Sears, Spanberger shared a “story about once complaining about politics in front of her mother,” who advised her to “let your rage fuel you,” according to Fox News.

“Rage,” Earle-Sears wrote in a post on X. “That’s what Abigail Spanberger is calling for. We’ve seen it with racist signs, cruel jeers, even cheering a father’s assassination for daring to disagree.”

“The @arlingtondems have let their rage fuel them for years,” the X account for the Arlington Republican Party wrote.

“They’re condescending to voters. They verbally accost Republican poll greeters. They steal, vandalize, and destroy Republican yard signs. Is rage really a responsible motivator in politics?”

Pentagon’s committee terminated due to feminist agenda

War Secretary Pete Hegseth has terminated a 74-year-old military advisory committee for women as it harms America’s combat capabilities.

“The Committee is focused on advancing a divisive feminist agenda that hurts combat readiness, while Secretary Hegseth has focused on advancing uniform, sex-neutral standards across the Department,” Pentagon press secretary Kingsley Wilson said in a Sept. 23 post on X.

The Defense Advisory Committee on Women in the Services (DACOWITS) was established in 1951 to advise on strategies for boosting female recruitment into the U.S. military during the Korean War.

According to a December 2020 report published by DACOWITS, the committee has put forward several recommendations over the past decades, including “integrating women into previously closed positions or units,” boosting the number or percentage of women in underrepresented fields, and other gender equality measures.

In its 2023 annual report, DACOWITS raised concerns about the Supreme Court striking down the Roe v. Wade ruling in 2022, questioning the department on matters regarding abortion and contraception.

Stranded trucks start moving as Poland reopens major border crossings with Belarus

Poland has reopened two major border crossings shut ahead of Russian-Belarusian Zapad military exercises.

The two crossings, Terespol and Kukuryki, resumed operations just after midnight today, two weeks after closing. Long lines of cars and lorries queued ahead of the reopening and freight rail traffic also restarted along the European Union-China corridor via Małaszewicze.

The Polish Government shut all road crossings with Belarus on September 12 “until further notice” before the start of the Zapad military exercises. Poland saw those as a potential threat to the Suwałki Gap, the stretch of land that separates the Russian enclave Kaliningrad from Belarus.

The Polish authorities’ decision to shut that border had been taken before the Russian drone incursion into Polish airspace on September 11. Some commentators saw that move as a form of retaliation against the frontier closure, which was protested by both Russia and Belarus.

The Polish decision was taken despite the fact that US observers attended the Zapad military exercises and that the numbers of troops involved in the exercises was lower than in the equivalent manoeuvres in the past.

Chinese dominate Oklahoma marijuana black market

Chinese gangs are taking advantage of loose marijuana rules in Oklahoma to grow and transport marijuana to other states for sale on the black market, authorities say.

Oklahoma narcotics officials told Congress $153 billion worth of marijuana is unaccounted for and likely leaving the state for the black market in other states.

As many as 85% of licensed grow sites have connections with Chinese owners or operators, according to Mark Woodward, information officer with the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics.

Since 2022, the state has shut down more than 6,000 illegal growing operations. Most U.S. states have made marijuana legally available, but taxes and regulations have pushed up its price, leaving an opening for black market sales.

Microsoft's drastic move against Israeli intelligence

Microsoft has restricted access to certain technologies for Israel's military intelligence Unit 8200 - an elite unit responsible for clandestine operations, especially collecting signal intelligence (SIGINT), along with counterintelligence, cyberwarfare, and surveillance. It is often also referred to as the Central Collection Unit of the Intelligence Corps.

Reports emerged that the IDF unit violated the company's terms of service by using Microsoft's Azure cloud platform to collect and store mass surveillance data on Palestinians.

A sophisticated surveillance system was erected by Israeli intelligence reportedly using Microsoft's infrastructure to collect data from millions of phone calls made daily by Palestinians across the West Bank and Gaza.

"We do not provide technology to support mass surveillance of civilians. This principle has guided our actions globally for over 20 years," Microsoft President and Vice Chair Brad Smith stated in an internal email to employees.

Microsoft has also since notified Israel’s Ministry of Defense that it will terminate and deactivate specific subscriptions and services used by the military. This is said to include access to certain cloud storage, AI tools, and related technologies.

German politicians banned for Palestine flag

Four members of the Bundestag, the German parliament, have been banned from an ongoing session after waving a large Palestinian flag.

The four MPs with Die Linke, Vizenz Glaser, Cansin Köktürk, Charlotte Neuhäuser and Lisa Schubert, rose from their places during a speech by Stephan Mayer, member of the parliament’s foreign policy committee, on September 24 and started waving the flag from their bench.

The parliament Vice President, Josephine Ortleb (Social Democratic Party, SDP) intervened and asked them to stop or leave the room. They did not react.

“You are leaving this room now,” Ortleb then ordered and told parliamentary ushers to remove the flag. She also banned a photographer on the visitor gallery, who had been taken pictures of the disturbance.

The four left-wingers left the room and were excluded from all further sessions that day.

Ranked: cities with most expensive rent in the world

Across major cities worldwide, the cost of rent has climbed sharply in recent years.

Record-high housing prices, paired with a wave of remote workers moving into new markets, are reshaping rental dynamics. At the same time, limited supply is tightening conditions even further, compounding challenges for renters in countless regions.

New York Has the Most Expensive Rent in the World. Today, it costs on average $4,143 to rent in New York City—rising 22% over the past five years. Even with an exodus of workers during the pandemic, prices remain high given strong demand, rich cultural activity, and the Big Apple’s position as the global epicenter of finance.

Boston, meanwhile, ranks in second with rent averaging $3,394 per month. High land and materials costs have impeded home building activity, contributing to a low supply of housing stock, further driving up prices.

Rounding out the top three is San Francisco, at $3,332, although rental costs have increased just 1% since 2020.

Beyond America, Singapore stands as the most expensive, with rent surging 55% over the period to reach $3,167—the fastest growth rate on the list. Similarly, rental costs are up 54% in Dubai, making it the costliest city to rent in the Middle East and ranking eighth overall in 2025.

Tulsi Gabbard constantly under Deep State attacks

Any cabinet member that looks inward to reveal the status of corrupt activity within the information silo itself becomes a target. Cabinet officials who focus externally, meaning the majority of their effort looks outside government, are seemingly left alone.

HHS Secretary RFK Jr and Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, are examples of those receiving the worst ideological targeting from operations within HHS and the Intelligence Community respectively.

Conversely, CIA Director John Ratcliffe faces almost no scrutiny or targeting by the Intelligence Community as the silo operators frame narratives almost exclusively against DNI Gabbard.

The latest effort surfaces as embeds within Main Justice and the CIA frame a storyline that Tulsi Gabbard’s action in removing the security clearances of 37 current and former officials, has now resulted in those same officials being incapable of testifying against former CIA Director John Brennan (and others).

Gabbard is directly going into each IC agency to review and retrieve information.  When she finds something that connects to the overall plots being used by the Fourth Branch, the DNI takes that information directly to President Trump who subsequently declassifies it and then she releases it.

The Deep State operatives want to stop Tulsi Gabbard with urgency.   They are throwing every available IC narrative into the media flow in the hope that something stops Tulsi’s effectiveness.

Newsom allows anonymously mailing abortion drugs to skirt red states laws

Democrat California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed a bill on Friday allowing healthcare workers the option of anonymously mailing abortion drugs into red states to skirt pro-life laws.

The law, AB 260, bolsters the state’s existing shield laws designed to protect abortionists from out-of-state prosecutions. Democrat Assembly Majority Leader Cecilia Aguiar-Curry said she introduced the legislation in direct response to a Texas man suing a California doctor for sending his girlfriend abortion pills, Politico reported.

Newsom also signed a bill that would keep the abortion drug mifepristone available in the state, even if the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) decided to revoke its approval. The FDA, under the direction of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is conducting a review of the pill’s safety following a shocking study suggesting complicatione are much higher than previously reported.

German political heavyweight warns of ‘loss of entire industries’ due to climate targets

A senior German politician has sounded the alarm about what he said would be the catastrophic effects of current climate policy on Germany’s industrial backbone.

Talking to Welt TV from the East German Energy Forum in Leipzig, Reiner Haseloff, a leading figure in the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) of Chancellor Merz, said Germany’s climate targets were unachievable “unless entire industries are lost”.

Officially, Germany still strives to become “carbon-neutral” by 2045. That would be five years earlier than deadline for the European Union as a whole, said Haseloff, who is also Prime Minister of the German State of Saxony-Anhalt.

He said the world had changed since the European Green Deal – the EU’s timetable to achieve “climate neutrality” – was launched in 2019, citing the war in Ukraine, US economic policy and Germany’s severe economic crisis as examples.

“We need to modify the EU’s Green Deal and adjust the timetable to the new realities that have emerged globally,” Haseloff said.

Dutch people wait up to 12 years to obtain social housing, for refugees it takes 14 weeks

The Netherlands is the second most densely populated country in Europe, and with surging mass immigration, has been experiencing a raging housing crisis for years.

However, despite this crisis, refugees can gain access to social housing in a mere 14 weeks, while the average Dutch citizen must wait up until 12 years.

Now, efforts are being made to right this injustice for Dutch citizens with a new bill, but Council of State, the country’s highest legal advisory body, is criticizing any attempt to block housing access to refugees. The authority claims refugees should receive equal treatment, as required by the Dutch constitution.

The minister behind the proposal, Mona Keijzer of the BBB party, says she is not backing down. Keijzer’s plan aims to create more affordable housing by ensuring that refugees, or “status holders,” no longer receive priority for housing solely because of their status.

The Council of State argues that the proposal leads to unequal treatment, which is “contrary to the Constitution.” The Council has advised the cabinet not to submit the bill to the House of Representatives.

Gun control: Violence will always be with us

By Bryan Lutz, Editor at Dollarcollapse.com

It can be reduced by making plans for peace, but it will never be completely eliminated—just like poverty and volatile markets.

The solution for poverty and volatile markets has already been tried. For the U.S. government, the first step was establishing a federalized central banking system, which they said would mitigate volatility in the currency markets from state to state.

Unfortunately, for every intervention and extra regulation the Federal Reserve initiated, the problem has only grown larger and larger. The same is true for violence. The more intervention takes place to maintain power—even at a global scope—the more violence is perpetuated. It is a seemingly endless cycle.

Over the last five years, the gun control narrative has increasingly intensified with school shootings. Google Trends data shows the conversation peaking during each mass shooting. While the Left has continued to argue for stricter gun control laws, the Right has increasingly pointed toward the LGBT community as the epicenter of violence—specifically, transgenderism framed as a mental health issue.

However, over the last two weeks, the gun control narrative has been relatively silent. Why? Neither side can reach a consensus on who is allowed to own a gun. Each side attempted to persuade the other that they are not worthy of owning one. You don’t want to be on the side that’s not allowed to hold ’em.

Europe’s top causes of death

More than 5 million people died in the EU in 2022.

Diseases of the circulatory system (think heart diseases and strokes) accounted for nearly 1.7 million deaths in 2022. This was more than the combined total of the next two categories.

Cardiovascular mortality correlates strongly with age: people over 65 represent about 9 in 10 of these deaths. For reference, 85% of all deaths in this year (4.4 million) occurred among people aged over the age of 65.

Cancer caused 1.15 million EU deaths in 2022, or just under one-quarter of the total. Lung cancer leads the pack for men, while breast cancer is the deadliest for women.

When looking at totals however, lung and colorectal cancers accounted for one-third of all cancer deaths in the EU.

Respiratory diseases took 363,000 lives, but that figure excludes the 312,000 officially attributed to COVID-19 in 2022. Globally, the pandemic catapulted infectious disease back into the top five causes of death for the first time in decades.

Former FBI boss to be indicted in days?

With a five-year statute of limitations about to expire next Tuesday, Former FBI Director James Comey is expected to be indicted in the Eastern District of Virginia for lying to Congress during his Sept. 30, 2020 testimony, several outlets have reported.

The news comes days after President Donald Trump knocked AG Pam Bondi for inaction against perpetrators of the 'Russia hoax.'

In a Saturday post to Truth Social, Trump slammed Bondi over three people who have committed alleged crimes and not faced criminal charges;  Sen. Adam Schiff (D-CA), New York state Attorney General Letitia James; and former FBI Director James Comey.

“JUSTICE MUST BE SERVED NOW!!!" Trump wrote, citing unspecified "statements and posts" he'd read concluding that the trio are "guilty as hell, but nothing is going to be done."

According to MSNBC's Ken 'deep state' Dilanian, "The full extent of the charges being prepared against Comey is unclear, but the sources believe that at least one element of the indictment — if it goes forward -- will accuse him of lying to Congress during his testimony on September 30, 2020 about whether he authorized a leak of information."

BMW CEO: ‘Restricting combustion engines is a major strategic mistake’

Oliver Zipse, CEO of German carmaker BMW, has spoken out harshly against the planned total ban for internal combustion engines (ICE) in new cars in the European Union planned for 2035.

In a Tuesday speech to Conservative Bavarian MPs at the Banz monastery in Northern Bavaria, Zipse said: “Focusing on a single technology that also creates significant dependencies, with only electric mobility by 2035, is a major strategic mistake.”

This, the BMW CEO continued, would reduce innovativeness and also the envisaged CO2 reduction.

Zipse urged European policymakers to remain open to all technologies, citing BMW as an example: “Over the last 10 years, we have consistently undercut our CO2 targets. So, openness to technology works.”
