Biden’s Covid credits: fraud, phantom enrollees, and a Democratic money pit

The political hill that Democrats are dying on would lock in expanded Obamacare subsidies, costing taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars.

In March 2021, then-President Joe Biden signed the so-called America Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), the nearly $2 trillion money suck identifying as a “stimulus” package ostensibly to save America from the pandemic.

The higher healthcare subsidies that were sold as necessary during the pandemic are hard to justify years removed from the “health emergency.”

“The American people rightfully are saying that, at a certain point, we’ve got to get back to normal,” the policy experts said.

To top it all off, the Biden Covid credits have led to an explosion of fraud. The system is littered with “phantom enrollees,” Obamacare consumers who unknowingly signed up or are double-covered in the insurance marketplace, the FGA report notes.

Health and Human Services found that there are 1.6 million or more individuals with double coverage — through Medicaid and a subsidized exchange plan. The FGA report notes 40% of enrollees in plans fully covered by taxpayers didn’t have a single claim in 2024.

From failed run to failed book tour — Kamala’s pity parade continues

Failed 2024 Democrat presidential nominee Kamala Harris just wanted to go around the country to talk about her memoir "107 Days" and be received with love and adoration, but that's not happening.

Despite Harris' best-laid plans to attempt to erase her disastrous run for president with her cross-country book tour, blaming her loss on everyone else but herself at various stops along the way, it has gone off the rails when she's been faced with hecklers.

However, it hit a snag when her remarks were interrupted multiple times by anti-Israel protesters who were mad at her because they felt that she hadn't done enough for their cause. She seemed to take the same attitude to them during the event as she did in her book: nothing is her fault, and she refuses to call them out for being wrong. "I'm not president right now. There's nothing I can do," she claimed.

Harris tried to distance herself from Joe Biden's position, saying she wasn't president when he occupied the Oval Office, stating, "[she] couldn't make the decision. But I made my position clear."

She whined that they weren't "letting her talk."

Dems’ D.C. exile — chaos, shutdowns, and Trump’s triumph

I would say, "Pity the poor Democrats," but they have spent far too many years being awful to warrant any consideration for whatever feelings their cold, leftist hearts might have.

At the moment, the Dems are in political exile in Washington, D.C. Not by much, but it's exile nonetheless. As we have discussed many times, they aren't making much of a case to the American people to be brought out of it. Who knows? r "raining f-bombs on the Republicans" strategy will pan out. I remain skeptical about that.

They're also struggling with the government shutdown. The public knows that it's Chuck Schumer's Senate Democrats who are mucking up the works.

Now that President Trump is riding high and receiving praise from the likes of The Washington Post Editorial Board, the emotionally disturbed lefties at the NYT are like friendless, bratty kids at their own birthday parties, standing alone in the backyard while the clown is shaking his head in pity.

ACA illusion: subsidies hide the real cost of America’s broken healthcare

Since the Affordable Care Act (ACA) became law, Americans have faced soaring health care insurance premiums, which have more than doubled since 2013.

Surging deductibles have compounded the issue, creating a double whammy to affordability. Government subsidies, often touted as relief, merely mask the skyrocketing prices rather than addressing the root causes, thereby obscuring consumers from the true cost of care.

A lesser-known ACA option, Copper plans, feature high deductibles but significantly lower premiums, typically 20 to 30 percent less than Bronze plans and up to 60 percent less than Platinum plans.

Like all ACA plans, Copper plans cover the 10 essential health benefits with no cost for preventive services and no denials for pre-existing conditions.

Critics argue that high deductibles may lead patients to delay care, potentially worsening health outcomes. But pairing Copper plans with Health Savings Accounts (HSAs) and Direct Primary Care (DPC) agreements mitigates this concern.

No more drilling: Labour locks U.K. into permanent anti-fracking policy

Labour plans to introduce a “total ban” on fracking this autumn, replacing the current moratorium with permanent legislation.

Experts say the U.K.’s complex geology makes large-scale fracking unviable and risky compared to U.S. shale formations.

The move aims to prevent future governments, such as the Reform Party, from reinstating fracking without majority parliamentary approval.

There have been discussions around fracking in the U.K. for years, with the government going back and forth on whether to support new operations. Politicians have explored the potential for fracking, which has been successful for fossil fuel recovery in the United States, while environmentalists have fought against it. While many may have thought that fracking had been banned long ago in the U.K., a decisive ban on the practice had not actually taken place… until now.

“Protecting U.S. jobs” or killing furniture sales? Tariffs spark national split

The American lumber industry and cabinet makers see the tariffs as a necessary move to stall foreign competitors, while others are concerned about rising costs.

Starting on Oct. 14, the United States began to apply a 10 percent tariff on all imported softwood timber and lumber. Additionally, a 25% tariff has been placed on all imports of upholstered wooden products, typically furniture, as well as on kitchen cabinets and vanities.

Some affected by the tariffs love the idea. The American lumber industry and cabinet makers see the tariffs as a necessary move to stop foreign competitors from systematically undercutting Americans.

Others, such as the furniture industry, are skeptical. Furniture industry associations say they heavily depend upon imported components to finish products in America. They also see the tariffs as yet another drag on an industry already stymied by a slow housing market.

In accordance with the proclamation, the tariff on furniture will increase to 30% in 2026, and the tariff on kitchen cabinets and vanities will increase to 50% on the same date. All of the tariffs are made on the basis of Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, which requires that national security be threatened for a tariff to be created.

The tariffs drew a negative reaction from the furniture industry, which is highly reliant on imports and already struggling as demand shrinks.

189 battery fires in London — the dark side of green mobility

In north Brixton, UK, an electric scooter battery exploded in a garbage truck—yet another “green” fire that firefighters struggled to extinguish.

This is not a coincidence, but a pattern: according to the London Fire Brigade, fires caused by micro-mobility batteries have become the fastest-growing cause of fires in the capital.

Between August and September 2025 alone, there were 189 fires in London caused by lithium-ion batteries in electric bikes and scooters — 92% more than in the whole of 2023. In New York, the situation is even more dire: during the same period, there were 27 deaths and 303 fires caused by such devices.

While the authorities promote “green” transportation, they turn a blind eye to the deadly consequences. Cheap batteries bought on Amazon burn like napalm, and manufacturers are not held accountable.

California Permanently Legalizes Assisted Suicide — Supporters Hail Compassion, Critics Fear Abuse

Senate Bill 403 removes the sunset clause from California's End of Life Option Act, making the law permanent instead of expiring in 2031.

The bill was sponsored by State Sen. Catherine Blakespear and passed with bipartisan support in both chambers (Senate 26–6, Assembly 59–12) before being signed by Gov. Newsom.

Under the law, mentally competent Californians 18 or older with terminal illness (six month prognosis) may request and self-administer a life ending prescription under strict safeguards (multiple requests, witnesses, second?physician confirmation, etc.).

In 2024, 1,591 prescriptions were issued and 1,032 patients died by ingestion; most were over age 60, in hospice or palliative care and had serious illness (with cancer predominant).

Critics warn that cementing the law risks "mission creep," weakens protections for vulnerable populations, and erodes medical ethics; many call for stronger investment in palliative care and safeguards.

The Real Judicial Crisis: Rogue Judges Rebel Against the Supreme Court

The real crisis is rogue lower court judges who have no respect for separation of powers or the constitutional role of the judicial branch.

Since returning to office, President Trump has faced an onslaught of leftist-backed lawfare seeking to grind the implementation of his voters’ agenda to a halt.

Unsurprisingly, many of these lawsuits have been filed in districts predominated by Democrat-appointed judges, who have been more than happy to issue a myriad of preliminary injunctions and temporary restraining orders blocking enforcement of the administration’s policies.

Now, with the U.S. Supreme Court largely agreeing to shut down this lower court judicial coup for the time being, a number of rogue judges have taken to anonymously attacking the high court for stopping the crisis they helped create.

The latest instance of this phenomenon came on Saturday, when The New York Times published an article highlighting criticisms from more than three-dozen unnamed lower court judges about the Supreme Court’s handling of cases involving the Trump administration. More specifically, these (mostly Democrat-appointed) jurists attacked the high court for its management of the “emergency” docket.

Illinois Politicians Give Themselves Raises as Taxpayers Foot the Bill

Illinois may be drowning in debt, but its state employees are living quite comfortably. According to new data from OpenPayrolls, the average annual salary for state government workers (excluding universities) hit $79,000 in 2023 — putting Illinois among the Top 5 highest-paying states for public employees nationwide.

Lawmakers didn’t forget themselves either — they quietly boosted their own base pay to $98,000, also among the highest in the country. Meanwhile, private-sector wages lag far behind. The Illinois Policy Institute reports that since 2021, pay for unionized state workers has grown 57% faster than private-sector salaries.

And for the state’s elite? It’s a taxpayer-funded jackpot.

🏈The University of Illinois head football coach Bret Bielema earns a staggering $7.7 million a year.

💼 The Teachers’ Retirement System director pulls in $518,000, with other administrators earning between $327K–$398K annually.

While Illinois families battle inflation, rising taxes, and record utility costs, the public sector seems untouched by economic reality. The gap between taxpayers and the people they fund is widening — and it’s becoming impossible to ignore.

The Dirty Secret of ‘Clean Energy’: How Wind Farms Are Wrecking the Earth

Beneath the sleek, white exteriors of spinning wind turbines lies a dirty secret the green energy industry doesn't want you to hear. Promoted as a pristine solution to our energy needs, industrial wind farms are in fact carving a path of destruction through our ecosystems, sacrificing biodiversity and soil health on the altar of climate alarmism.

The truth, often buried beneath layers of corporate public relations and government subsidies, reveals that this so-called clean energy is inflicting a profound and possibly irreversible wound on the natural world.

It is time to pull back the green curtain and expose the devastating chain of destruction that begins deep within the earth and climbs all the way to our most vital pollinators and birds of prey.

Wind farm construction causes massive soil erosion and nutrient loss, crippling the foundation of local ecosystems.

Soil moisture content plummets near operating turbines, creating a drought effect that weakens vegetation and triggers a biodiversity collapse.

Insect populations crash as their food sources vanish, breaking a critical link in the natural food chain.

Bird and bat populations face catastrophic declines from direct collisions, with turbines now a primary threat to migratory species.

The agricultural economy is threatened by the loss of bats, which provide billions in pest control and pollination services.

Welcome to Peak Woke: ‘Vegan’ Tampons Now Available in Men’s Restrooms in the UK

It turns out that the once-Great Britain has achieved one more goal, though: they have achieved Peak Stupid. At least, the National Trust - a charity organization dedicated to the preservation of historic sites - has done so. How so? They are installing machines to dispense "vegan" feminine hygiene products.

In men's bathrooms right.

The charity is providing the sanitary products in the men’s toilets at Sizergh Castle, near Lake Windermere in the Lake District.

A box fixed to the wall, with the wording: “Got a period situation going on? We got you” offers the free tampons. Nearby is a disposal bin featuring a male icon.

The only problem men entering this men's room - a room for men - since men don't have periods - would be the danger of rolling one's eyes so hard that the muscles and optic nerve disconnect and one's eyes go spinning about in one's face like the wheels on an old mechanical pinball machine.

Left Tries to Rewrite History, Giving Biden Credit for Trump’s Historic Peace Deal

Ever since President Donald Trump brokered the historic peace deal between Israel and Hamas, the left has followed a predictable script—either praising the outcome while refusing to credit Trump or scrambling to hand the credit to someone else entirely.

That’s exactly what Joe Biden’s former Secretary of State Antony Blinken is now trying to do. The deal, which involves releasing the remaining hostages and requires Israel to pull back to a predetermined line inside Gaza, aims to create a buffer zone to disarm Hamas. In his self-congratulatory thread on X, Blinken actually tries to spin the Trump-brokered ceasefire as “building on” what Biden supposedly achieved.

He gushes about how the plan “builds on a post-conflict framework developed under the Biden administration,” as though the same crowd that spent four years appeasing Tehran and lecturing Israel suddenly became Middle East visionaries.

It’s almost comical: the guy who spent his tenure presiding over one foreign policy humiliation after another now wants credit for the stability emerging under Trump. Blinken’s revisionist history is so transparent it’s almost sad—trying to polish the legacy of a failed administration that couldn’t stop chaos anywhere it touched.

What Blinken doesn’t mention is that the last American hostage released from Gaza on Biden’s watch was a four-year-old girl, Abigail Edan, in November 2023, and there may have been a reason for that.

Abigail’s great aunt, Liz Hirsh Naftali, is a Democrat donor with connections to the Bidens and the Pelosis who bought some of Hunter Biden’s artwork. But I digress. He then tried to “credit” Trump with building on the Biden plan.

▪️ During the talks, Trump repeated many of the Russian president's statements verbatim — even those that contradicted his own recent statements

▪️ “Ukraine is losing the war. If Vladimir Putin wants to, he will destroy you,” Trump said

▪️ “Trump's aggressive repetition of the Russian president's rhetoric destroyed the hopes of many of Ukraine's European allies that he could be persuaded to increase support for Kyiv,” the Financial Times emphasizes

Spy Toys: Chinese Company Fined for Tracking U.S. Children’s Data

Chinese toymaker Apitor Technology Co. was penalized for violating the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) by illegally collecting data from American children through its smart toy robots.

The company's app secretly collected children's geolocation data and other personal information without obtaining the required parental consent.

A federal court ordered Apitor to immediately cease its unauthorized data collection, delete all previously collected children's data and imposed a $500,000 civil penalty, which was suspended due to the company's claimed inability to pay.

The case raises heightened alarms because the surreptitious data collection from children by a Chinese company is viewed in the context of China's documented history of accumulating data from American networks.

This action by the DOJ and FTC is part of a wider crackdown on COPPA violations, following similar cases against major tech companies like Amazon and Microsoft, highlighting ongoing child privacy risks in an increasingly globalized market for smart toys.

The Hate Must Go On: Who Will Democrats Target Now That the War Is Over?

We have a ceasefire in Israel – and make no mistake, there is no country called “Palestine,” at least not yet – so the question comes up: who will Democrats hate next? They’ve hated Jews for so long that their anti-Semitism will continue; it’s a part of their DNA.

But there won’t be anything Jews will be doing for the next little while that will be chant-worthy, so what is a progressive activist to do? Since dating or showering are out of the question, shifting their hate to other targets is pretty much all there is. But where?

White people. The old, trusted target is always at the ready for hate. White people, especially straight white men, are the worst, right? Democrats have always hated them, even though they fund them and the exploits of their mutant army.

Then there is Christians. Sorry, “Churchy,” Democrats hate you. When I say hate, I mean they really, really, really, really hate you. The only thing they hate more than you is their step-dad, whom they never saw as good enough for their mom and hated more than the genitals with which the body they were forcibly stuffed into were born.

Kids. Democrats hate kids; they view them as unrealized abortions.

There are few things Democrats hate more than a black, gay or woman who is conservative. “Sell out!” “Uncle Tom!” or whatever the gay equivalent the Alphabet Mafia has come up with is.

Online Bias: Why Women Appear Younger While Men ‘Age with Wisdom’

A new study analyzing over 500,000 online images found a striking bias:

🔹Women are most often shown in their 20s

🔹Men are most often shown in their 40s–50s

This reflects — and amplifies — cultural stereotypes that prize youth for women and experience for men.

Researchers warn: this isn’t just about pictures. AI and search algorithms reinforce what people click on, spreading sexist and ageist stereotypes even further.

“It’s basically amplifying whatever most people click on,” said study co-author Douglas Guilbeault of Stanford.

AI’s Hidden Weak Link: America’s Power Grid Can’t Keep Up

The 'real problem' facing America is 'electricity'

Can China beat the United States in the new-age arms race for AI dominance? Some commentators think so, saying they came back from recent trips "stunned" at how far China has come.

The issue these tech journalists uncovered wasn't lack of innovation – after all, the U.S. boasts 40 leading AI models to China's 15. It wasn't tardy investment, either. To the contrary, U.S. industry poured nearly 12 times as much money into AI as China did last year alone.

The real problem facing AI in America is electricity.

China is investing heavily in a next-level power grid and currently enjoys an oversupply of electricity at least twice its capacity needs. The U.S., on the other hand, scrapes by with electricity reserves of 15% on a good day.

We face severe bottlenecks that, according to Goldman Sachs, threaten an AI energy crisis. And with AI data centers representing more GDP growth than consumer spending, it's clear that AI will be a critical component of economic success going forward.

Interstellar object is spraying water

A new analysis of our solar system’s interstellar interloper, 3I/ATLAS, reveals that it’s spewing huge amounts of water — and astronomers can’t immediately explain why.

The object, which is widely believed to be comet, showed strong ultraviolet emissions that are unmistakable telltales of hydroxyl gas (OH), a byproduct of water.

NASA findings argue that the presence of all this OH indicates the comet is ejecting water vapor at a torrential rate of about 88 pounds per second — around the same rate as a fire hose running at full blast.

The most extraordinary thing is that this was spotted happening pretty far from the Sun, at a heliocentric distance of about three astronomical units (AU) away, or three times the distance between the Earth and our star. Typically, comets stray much closer to the Sun before the water ice in their core, called a nucleus, begins to sublimate, or instantly transform from a solid to a gas. Something else must be driving all the water dumping from 3I/ATLAS — which also implies, tantalizingly, that the comet must harbor considerable stores of water for this process to keep going.

Right now, 3I/ATLAS is flying behind the Sun, so we can’t observe it from Earth. But scientists have been able to catch a glimpse of it using spacecraft stationed near Mars, and it’ll soon swing back into full view in late November.

Dumbing Down America: Why Our Kids Can’t Read, Write, or Do Math

It's our fault. The latest National Assessment of Educational Progress scores just dropped, and let’s not sugarcoat it: Our children are getting dumber.

They can barely read and aren’t very good at math, and it keeps getting worse. Instead of sounding the alarm, too many so-called leaders in the system are shrugging their shoulders and cashing their checks. It’s unacceptable.

What’s even more shocking? This collapse isn’t hitting only the predictable populations of children from low-income families or other historically underserved groups. For the first time, even affluent, suburban children — the ones who used to be the “safe bet” in the system — are also losing ground at alarming rates.

That should terrify everyone. The rot has finally reached the entire tree. When deregulation and complacency become the norm, no child is safe from harm.

Here’s the truth no one wants to say out loud: Too many adults in charge don’t want to do the hard work. They have managed to wiggle out of accountability, water down standards, and keep telling families their children are doing well.

Meanwhile, the level called “proficiency” on annual statewide assessments is nowhere near the basic level set by the federal government.

America’s Youth Left Behind: Full-Time Jobs Vanish for Under-30 Workers

Every month, federal bureaucrats tell us that the unemployment rate in this country is low, but at this point everyone knows that the numbers that they give us are fake. The reality of the matter is that it is now “the toughest time in years” to find a good job in the United States, and that is particularly true for our young people.

So this is an extremely alarming development.

Vast numbers of our young adults are working low-paying part-time jobs right now because that is all they can get.

But as the employment market gets even tighter, there will even be intense competition for those jobs. Day after day, large companies are slashing more high-paying positions. For example, Exxon Mobil just announced that it will be eliminating 2,000 jobs…

Through September 15th, big tech companies had laid off 166,000 employees so far this year.

Concerns about our rapidly deteriorating employment market caused U.S. consumer confidence to fall “sharply” this month…

So now the millions of Americans that are already searching for work will have a lot more competition for a steadily dwindling number of high-paying job opportunities.
