Sophon [SOPH] Public Node Sale on Impossible Finance is now live
Impossible Finance is a platform for Sophon node sale. The total number for sale is 200,000 nodes with 40 different tiers (price for a node increases depending on tier). The nodes can be purchased using WETH on zkSync in an FCFS format. Previously, Sophon conducted a Whitelist node sale.
By running a node on Sophon, users will be eligible to earn a share of up to 20% of $SOPH token emissions over 3 years. SOPH is the native ecosystem token. Node holders may receive potential airdrops from ecosystem participants. Network launch and node activation are expected in Q3 2024.
EigenLayer will launch EIGEN token with Initial Airdrop on May 10th
Restaking protocol EigenLayer is launching its native token $EIGEN on May 10th. The distribution will include airdrops named stakedrops, which will hand out 15% of token supply to those who have staked on platform. In the first season, 5% of token supply will be distributed to users based on a snapshot of staking activities taken on March 15th. Of this first season allocation, 90% of tokens will be claimable on May 10th.
$EIGEN token will have a total supply of 1.67B tokens at launch. 45% of tokens allocated to community, subdivided into stakedrops (15%), community initiatives (15%) and ecosystem development (15%). Initially, as $EIGEN claims begin, the tokens will remain non-transferable to allow ample time for decentralization and to foster community consensus regarding the token’s utility and governance. Users will be able to stake it to secure its data availability layer, called EigenDA.

ConsenSys, a developer of MetaMask and Linea, has filed a lawsuit against the SEC
ConsenSys, an infrastructure builder which created a MetaMask wallet and zkEVM Linea, has filed a lawsuit against the SEC in Texas federal court. ConsenSys wants to prevent an impending lawsuit against the company and to seek a ruling that $ETH - is not a security. The lawsuit comes amid an aggressive enforcement campaign by SEC Chairman Gary Gensler against leading companies in the crypto sector.
The SEC's objections to MetaMask offering users a means to stake Ethereum on their behalf is a point of contention. The lawsuit also seeks declarations that MetaMask is not a broker-dealer, and that the SEC is violating the Administrative Procedures Act and the Constitution’s guarantee of due process.
