Ecosystem Mapping
We'd love to hear from our TON Society fam in what ways they would improve/change the current way the ecosystem is being mapped via ton.app.
Some potential upcoming updates:
- User/team profile page so list of dApps/projects under a single venture builder is curated for a more holistic view
- Functionality for submitting blockchain address behind the dApp so that metrics such as unique wallet interactions/valuation/TVL/etc. can be tracked via tonapi.io
- User interaction metrics for the ton.app page and seeing number of views/visits/etc. to the dApps
- Ways for teams to promote their products if they meet standards
What are other ways we the community can improve ton.app? How should a fair verification process happen (or conversely should the standard be that projects that are not verified be noted as such)? Should all descriptions be in the same language as the page setting (e.g., if "English" is turned on, all dApp descriptions should be in English and not in another language). How do we actively keep up with removal of delinquent/non-functioning projects?

TON Society Admin here and I'll be the first one to admit that trying to get work done for the community the past few hours was a struggle given the industry news, consolidation of power, and future prospects for the decentralization of crypto.
However, I am reminded of what drives our community:
- New builders being onboarded to TON, and experienced builders tirelessly furthering documentation and use-cases
- Investors excited at the bright prospects of onboarding the next billion users to Web3 via social network and beyond (whereas the competition is essentially buying its users)
- Ideologists who understand that TON is not just another distributed ledger, but an idea for a decentralized web
- Users keeping up with TON news and supporting the Foundation's mission to effectively distribute funds (via grants and open competitions) for the overall benefit of the ecosystem
It's times like these when those most prepared survive and eventually thrive - let's focus on building and taking risks for not the next 10 months, but for the next 10 years. 🫡
We will return with regular programming next. We can't wait to share what we've been working on for the benefit of our community (partnerships, revamped sites, and more).

TON Society Grants Reminder:
- Kind reminder to grants applicants to include contact information so that we can reach out for any follow-ups and/or explanation for rejection.
- Above is an example of an application we cannot follow-up with as no contact information was provided.
- TG handles are a must and other information such as LinkedIn, personal websites are nice to have.
In the very near future, we will announce a partnership and integration of our grants application process with a Web3 Grants Portal (who also exclusively support other ecosystems such as Polygon and soon Solana). This will ensure that applicants know exactly which fields to fill out for a complete application. We also look forward to the partnership being one of the first (and major) use cases for multi-sig and TON Storage (whereby all grants applications data are stored via TON Storage).

This is a fun one we've been wanting to tell our community about (but sitting on until all loose ends were tied):
- TON is now listed on ChangeNOW, allowing for KYC free/lite swap from 450+ other digital assets.
For the time being the swap is TON buy only ([xyz] » TON), but in the near future users will also be able to swap for TON sell (TON » [xyz]). Please note that fees are embedded in the exchange price, so do your own research/analysis before any swaps.

I'm a big StackOverflow fan and we did a pilot for TON Q&A on SO that ended badly (our questions were deleted). We had to move to a self moderated solution. Read more about this experience here.
I volunteered to push this forward and run a pilot for a couple of months. We'll decide if this platform is good enough to stay after the pilot. Please use it and give feedback (or better, help me improve it).

This event which took place Sep 1-4 was historical: First ever participation of TON NFT in a worldwide platform with a famous artist Ellen Sheidlin in a captivating space in Louvre Museum.
During this exhibition, we had the chance to share about the capabilities of TON blockchain and the NFT market with artists from all over the world. We also established contacts and arrangements with international artists. Feedback and tags on social media and channels were also gained. TON Diamonds also gave the holders the opportunity to visit the exposition free of charge.
All of the above are significant milestones in the development of the NFT and TON blockchain at the international level. TON Diamonds is blazing a trail and aims to create a marketplace whereby digital art from famous artists are traded, strategy that is differentiated from previous collections/marketplaces.
TON Diamonds will also host an exhibition in Dubai on October 14-15.
TON Society believes that NFT is here to stay and support teams that are trail blazing utility and real life artist conversion to this space.

Hacktoberfest is underway for open-source projects on TON and will close in a week.
More than 20 TON projects need help from contributors, so all developers are encouraged to join the festival!
Hack-TON-berfest is an excellent opportunity to make the first step toward building a reputation in the TON community, contribute to the development of the Web3 internet, and receive a limited-edition NFT.
Today, Oct. 24 at 16:00 (UTC), people will be able to join a livestream where they’ll learn how to make a quality Pull Request, the reasons why people should participate in such an event, and how open-source development influences the growth of the TON ecosystem.

Survey for TON developers 💫
Developers in the TON ecosystem may experience some problems reading the documentation because it is written in a complex language, often lacking examples or materials on essential parts of the TON blockchain.
The goal for the TON ecosystem is to create next-generation documentation accessible to everyone: both beginners and experienced developers.
To achieve it, we decided to collect feedback from the community. So we kindly ask all members of our community to share their experiences through the survey.
It consists of 10 questions and will take no more than 5 minutes.
