Recently, ston.fi introduced 2 unique types of liquidity pools: Weighted Stable Swap and Weighted Constant Product Invariant . Today we will look at what they are and how they work.

❓ A weighted pool is a type of liquidity pool that allows you to assign different weights to the assets in the pool. So, instead of the traditional 50/50 ratio, you can create a pool with a 20/80 token ratio or something else.

Weighted Stable Swap is used in pools where the token ratio should remain roughly the same. It differs from a regular stable swap pool only in the ability to set asset weights. An example of such a pool is the tsTON/TON pool.

Weighted Constant Product Invariant is a regular (volatile) liquidity pool with the ability to set weights. The best application is pools with volatile tokens. Example: STON/TON pool.

Thus, weighted pools provide more flexibility and diversification opportunities for liquidity providers.
