Anonymous offers on Fragment
Today, auction platform Fragment released its newest feature. Users can now make anonymous offers on usernames.
How it works:
If you want a specific Telegram username that’s not currently on Fragment, you can now anonymously reach out to its owner and make an offer.
The username’s owner will receive a special message from Telegram without disclosing your personal information (the username’s owner will only be able to see the address to your TON wallet).
If a user is interested in a specific username, Telegram will notify them as soon as it becomes available for auction.
When making an offer, Fragment will charge a fee of 1–100 Toncoin, depending on the sum of the offer. The payment is needed to confirm the buyer’s intention.
All transactions on Fragment happen on the fast and scalable TON blockchain.
You can find more information on Fragment’s newest feature here:

To participate in the giveaway, you must complete a few simple tasks, which can give you some advantages.
For example, you can learn how to send cryptocurrencies, such as USDT, USDC, and ETH, from other blockchains to the TON network via Orbit’s cross-chain bridge.
Also, it would be a good idea to know how and where to buy Toncoin and how to send it to a TON crypto wallet.
List of tasks:
1. Join Megaton Finance Community
2. Send TON to your Crypto Wallet
3. Deposit oTON in KLAYswap or Meshswap
4. Send Cross-chain Assets to your Crypto Wallet 1
5. Send Cross-chain Assets to your Crypto Wallet 2
Is it necessary to complete every task?
No. Every task is a separate activity with its own prize pool. You can complete as many tasks as you like. However, the more tasks you complete, the higher the chances of winning a prize.
How to complete the tasks:
You need to go to the event’s pages and follow the instructions. At the bottom of every page, you can enter your TON crypto wallet’s address that you’ll be using for the tasks and confirm participation.
The giveaway will end on Jan. 18, 2023, and the results will be published on Jan. 20, 2023.
Good luck to everyone!
Getgems is launching a New Year’s-themed NFT game.
NFT marketplace Getgmes, with support from the TON Community, is launching a New Year’s-themed NFT game, “New Year Eggs,” which will have an unusual yet entertaining game mechanic.
How the game is played:
Starting tomorrow, users will get an opportunity to buy NFT Eggs on the Getgems launchpad. The cost per Egg will be 0.5–1 TON, all of which will go directly into the contest's prize fund and, eventually, be awarded to the winner.
Every NFT Egg owner will be able to “collide” with opponents. The collisions are controlled by a “rock-paper-scissors” mechanic in the Getgems interface.
If your Egg stays intact — i.e., it doesn’t break — its stats will increase, and it will move on to the next round. The game will run until an Egg is crowned champion, whose owner will receive the entire prize fund.
Guides:
▪️ Game instructions
▪️ How to prepare for the sale of Eggs
You can find more details on Getgems’ official Telegram channel:

Introducing TON Connect 2.0
The TON community is launching TON Connect 2.0 today, an open-source standard allowing users to log in to internet services safely and without usernames or passwords.
This next iteration of TON Connect, launched in April, has received new yet important functions and was a genuine team effort from the community.
One of the key advantages TON Connect 2.0 has over its previous version is the ability to interact directly with decentralized applications based on TON. Users can now connect to mobile and desktop apps, Telegram bots, and other dApps in the interfaces of TON-based crypto wallets.
Connecting to apps happens in the wallet’s browser, and they’ll be available to be used in the wallet — without leaving the app.
TON Connect 2.0 allows users to sign in to online platforms with a single click, granting access to all of Web3’s use cases.
Tonkeeper already supports TON Connect 2.0’s standard, but other wallets have been working on implementing it.
We encourage developers and businesses to integrate TON Connect 2.0 into their products.
You can find TON Connect 2.0’s SDK documentation, helpful integration guides, and a description of the updated standard here:
https://tonkeeper.gitbook.io/ton-connect-2.0-guide-for-sdk
TON Connect 2.0 has all the tools needed to become a network-wide standard.
A competition to hack the smart contracts of Token Bridge with a total prize pool of $50,000
The TON Foundation has completed its testing of the smart contracts for the long-awaited Token Bridge, which will allow users to transfer any token from the Ethereum network or BNB Smart Chain to the TON blockchain and vice versa.
Cross-chain bridges that handle a large number of tokens and coins are often the target of hacker attacks.
Therefore, the TON Foundation is hosting a hacking competition to crack the Token Bridge’s smart contracts, offering a total prize pool of $50,000. If participants can uncover vulnerabilities in the bridge’s Solidity or FunC smart contracts, they’ll have a chance at receiving a reward from $200 all the way up to $25,000 (depending on the severity of the found vulnerabilities).
The competition will run until Dec. 30.
You can find all the competition’s details and rules here:

All the necessary materials and information on the hackathon are available here:
https://dorahacks.io/hackathon/hack-a-tonx/onboarding-&-workshops
Yesterday, TON Society’s Telegram channel addressed the TON community in a call for help promoting the event.
If you have experience coding on TON, you can help us bring awareness to the hackathon.
All you need to do is write and publish an article that entices and attracts readers to the competition. For instance, you can describe your experience in past TON hackathons or give pointers for beginner TON developers. Writers stand to win up to $300 (paid in Toncoin).
You can find more information on the TON Society’s initiative in this post.
We encourage all developers to spread the word about and participate in this large-scale hackathon!

An important community request to TON miners who have never used their coins
The level of interest in TON from the open-source community has grown exponentially over the year.
One of the main challenges of 2022 was reaching a community consensus on what the circulating supply is. Today, different data aggregators show different statistics. They often use a definition that simply does not capture the uniqueness of the TON’s history.
Therefore, we are proposing to launch a community-wide effort to determine what the community should consider dormant, inactive or uncirculating supply going forward.
Currently, the total number of inactive mining addresses with a balance of over 1 TON is 204. The total balance of these addresses is about 1.08 Billion TON. The full list of these addresses, which is public and on-chain, is made available by the independent data aggregator TonTech.
We kindly ask all owners of these inactive mining wallets — the genesis wallets that received Toncoin directly from Givers without the history of a single outgoing transaction — to activate and make an outgoing transfer to any address on the TON network by 00:00 UTC on January 1, 2023.
Through this community exercise, we hope to achieve greater clarity and certainty on the tokenomics of the TON network. The community has the right to know. This will remove the obstacles and hindrances faced by some contributors. We kindly ask all miners to take part in this initiative.
The data will be useful for providing a more accurate data to service providers, such as CoinMarketCap. It will remove discrepancies between different statistics.
We strongly encourage all members of the TON community to spread information about this initiative in order to reach as many participants as possible.

Ozys announces the launch of Megaton Finance, a new DEX based on the TON blockchain
One of South Korea's leading blockchain company, Ozys, announced the upcoming launch of a TON mainnet decentralized exchange (DEX). The full launch is expected in early January 2023.
The new DEX, named Megaton Finance is a multi-chain DeFi-protocol that aims to expand the cross-chain popularity of the TON ecosystem and use cases of the TON blockchain.
The platform will usher in the liquidity of major assets such as ETH, WBTC, USDT, USDC, DAI, and MATIC upon its release. It is notable that Ozys has previously built Klayswap and Meshswap for Klaytn and Polygon mainnets, respectively.
Leading up to the launch, Megaton Finance will hold several new user promotions and airdrops upon completion of certain tasks such as joining the community channels, downloading and sending Toncoin to major TON wallets, utilizing the cross-chain bridge, and providing liquidity seeding to the new TON pair pools on their existing Klayswap and Meshswap protocols. These events will prepare new and current users to help Megaton Finance with liquidity and word-of-mouth.
The suite of cross-chain enabling products that Ozys is building (Orbit Bridge and Megaton Finance) will contribute to the expansion and mainstream adoption of the TON ecosystem.
With the suite of DEXs appearing on TON, including Ston.Fi, Scaleton, DeDust, TonSwap, and more, we are excited at the prospects of a future growth in total value locked on TON.
Visit the Megaton Finance pre-launch website for details on aforementioned promotions.
It’s been an exciting year for TON — it definitely wasn’t easy — but we’re thankful for all the talent, builders, and investors who have contributed to the blockchain’s development.
To celebrate all the progress we’ve made, we’ve put together a special video about the history of our blockchain, our vision for the future, and our ultimate goal of widespread Web3 adoption.
P.S.: If you pay close attention, you may stumble across some 💎💎💎 in the video!
Auditing platform CertiK and TON have become partners.
The highly sought-after auditing platform CertiK has become an official partner of The Open Network and will be auditing smart contracts and services based on TON.
With the help of its analytics system, Skynet, CertiK monitors and analyzes smart contracts in real-time and instantly sounds the alarm if it discovers any vulnerabilities.
CertiK has already audited many critical components of The Open Network, including vesting schedule smart contracts, the TON Bridge app, the TON Baselayer, and others.
The company uses both a hands-on approach and an automated audit run by artificial intelligence, decreasing the risks of security threats to Web3 services.
Now users, product creators on TON, and investors can rest assured that the audit of TON-based services and smart contracts will be in the hands of one of the best auditing firms in the crypto world.
The partnership with CertiK will increase security standards and the transparency of the TON ecosystem while reinforcing confidence in the network among all participants.

Scams spotted in the TON ecosystem
We’ve noticed that scams have been on the rise lately and urge users to be extra careful when interacting with TON ecosystem services and products.
Remember:
▪️ Your secret recovery phrase is the only way to gain access to your crypto wallet. Never show it to people and try to avoid entering it on third-party sites and services.
▪️ No crypto wallet on the blockchain can be “blocked.” Any app claiming to “unblock” your wallet is a scam.
This is an excellent opportunity for everyone to brush up on our guide to digital safety.
