💎 Alternative TON wallets
⚫️ The journey of almost every crypto beginner starts with downloading their first non-custodial wallet for mobile or PC. In the case of Toncoin, the most popular wallet apps are Tonkeeper and Tonhub. Though some people may prefer a default TON Wallet available on every platform, these apps form the majority of crypto users on The Open Network. However, a whole bunch of wallet apps remains unrecognized by most users. Well, what is the TON ecosystem hiding?
⚫️ Juston, an iOS wallet app that became popular earlier this summer, attracted attention with its futuristic and extraordinary design. In addition to an awesome app interface, it provides several unique features which were still not added by mobile wallet giants, Tonkeeper and Tonhub. One is a web3 browser allowing you to surf the web and access the first DeFi projects on TON. Learn more about Juston on its official Telegram page — @thejuston (sadly, only in Russian).
⚫️ This fall turned out to be very productive on new apps made on The Open Network. Another member of our list is OpenMask, a simple and clear Chrome extension. Designed as an analogue to the well-known Metamask, the wallet app has improved over the last months. Thanks to a backward compatible provider with the original extension wallet, OpenMask enables users to log in to many sites — e.g., DeDust — and use multi wallets. More details are available on the Telegram channel — @openproduct.
⚫️ Last but not least is determined to bring a positive experience to non-crypto newcomers, TonSafe. Available on many mobile platforms, it strives to become a professional tool to operate with TON. As well as a myriad of currencies and languages available in the app, you can enter almost every site, thanks to Tonhub’s open-source nature. Follow its last updates on Telegram — @tonsafe.
⚫️ And even after that, that’s not all. It is mind-blowing how the TON ecosystem has expanded over the last months and how many apps, projects, and developments have appeared.

The TON Foundation and TON ecosystem partners have announced a $126-million fund to spur the crypto market into recovery mode.
The TON Foundation and a group of independent investment partners, including DWF Labs, Darley Technologies, Hexa Capital, and TONcoin.Fund, have announced the creation of a fund with a soft commitment of $126 million in the hopes of saving crypto projects in the industry.
The fund will assist companies in developing successful and innovative products based on TON while offering support for other projects experiencing a liquidity crunch as a result of the recent FTX implosion and its subsequent ripple effects.
Part of the financing will allow existing projects to migrate to TON under the TON Foundation’s purview and consultation. It will also act as an airbag to absorb the adverse impact caused by the FTX contagion that’s been rapidly spreading across the industry.
Tonstarter, the first TON-based launchpad, is also gearing up to play a part in the initiative by offering crucial support for projects developing products in DeFi, marketplaces, social, and other Web3 sectors while attracting IDO funding and releasing tokens.
Andrei Grachev, the managing partner of DWF Labs, said:
“Together with the TON Foundation, we decided to act immediately to support the bold founders that are building the future of Web3.”
Clément Florentin, CEO of Darley Technologies, also commented on the new fund:
“In line with our mission to provide deep and reliable liquidity, we immediately agreed to commit $15 million to projects in need.”
Moreover, the TON Foundation has launched a new documentation section for talented developers, making the transition to The Open Network seamless by giving step-by-step instructions for dApps and SDK.
In a new post, Pavel Durov shared his thoughts on the FTX collapse, decentralization, mass adoption of blockchain technology, and the success of the Fragment auction platform while mentioning TON.

An official TON token generator
Last week, the TON ecosystem opened its arms to TON Minter, a service developed by the Orbs team that allows users to mint and deploy Jettons on TON. You might have already heard about it since it used to be called Jetton Deployer.
The token generator has been busy lately, undergoing a rebranding, being added to the TON Foundation’s smart contracts, and being added to the ton.org website.
As a result, TON Minter has become an official service for creating altcoins on the TON network.
Minting and launching a Jetton is a streamlined process. Users only need to complete a few quick steps:
1. Navigate to the TON Minter website and connect your TON-based wallet.
2. Set your Jetton’s base parameters: name, ticker symbol, maximum supply, and a logo.
3. Click “Deploy” and pay the network fee.
The newly minted Jettons will be sent to the creator’s address.
Elsewhere in the TON ecosystem is TonHub’s token generator, which also provides a user-friendly experience for creating Jettons.
Providing liquidity on TON DEXs
A few days ago, two decentralized exchanges (DEXs) launched in the TON ecosystem: DeDust DEX and STON.fi.
Users can now become liquidity providers, or LPs, for trading pairs on these exchanges and earn TON from transaction fees as a reward.
Each DEX has published a guide on participating in its liquidity pools:
▪️ LP guide for DeDust.
▪️ LP guide for STON.fi.
If you want to learn what liquidity pools are and why they’re essential, we recommend reading this post.
Please note:
The TON Foundation and TON Community official Telegram channels have nothing to do with the platforms mentioned above. If you invest in crypto products, you thereby incur the risks.

DWF Labs will invest $10 million in the TON ecosystem.
DWF Labs, a market maker in the blockchain industry and a Web3 investor, became a partner of the TON project.
The company has pledged an investment of $10 million to spur development in the growing TON ecosystem and will assist in creating tokens, market-making, and listing Toncoin on exchanges.
DWF Labs intends to play a key role in increasing the number of users in the TON ecosystem and Toncoin’s daily trading volume.
What’s more, the company will launch an over-the-counter market that will also bring more recognition to Toncoin.
The budding partnership with DWF Labs is but another piece of the grand puzzle in creating the TON decentralized internet and finding avenues through which people can get their hands on Toncoin.
SafePal’s hardware wallet will have added support for Toncoin by the end of 2022.
The popular SafePal S1 hardware wallet will be the first cold-storage device to support the TON network and provide offline Toncoin storage.
SafePal is also currently actively developing open-source code as part of a TON Foundation grant program.
SafePal was introduced at the Binance Launchpad in February 2021 and became the first hardware wallet supported by the Binance cryptocurrency exchange.
Today, the SafePal ecosystem consists of three main services: the software wallet SafePal App, extensions for popular browsers, and a cold-storage device SafePal S1.
The wallet supports 15 languages and over 54 popular blockchains and is trusted by over 6 million users from 196 countries.
The largest cryptocurrency projects in the world, such as Binance Labs, 1inch, PancakeSwap, Uniswap, Nervos, and others are partners of the service.
TON and SafePal S1 will have been integrated by the end of 2022.
Tonhub extensions
TON-based developers received a huge boost thanks to Tonhub allowing all projects in the TON ecosystem to integrate with its wallet.
To create an extension, you need to use a dedicated library prepared by the Ton Whales team for the most seamless integration of products.
Users will be able to use TON-based products directly within the wallet by clicking on a link and confirming the download.
Tonhub plans on integrating the majority of popular products from the TON ecosystem.
For instance, NFT marketplace Getgems has recently completed the development for its web extension, allowing users to buy, sell, and transfer NFTs on the platform from within Tonhub.

CertiK’s audit of The Open Network
In the spring of this year, the TON Foundation embarked on an ambitious endeavor with CertiK, a highly sought-after auditing platform in the crypto industry that conducts vulnerability searches and smart contract code analyses.
A few days ago, the audit’s initial report of TON’s core (catchain), system smart contracts, and smart contracts of vesting wallets was released.
The audit confirmed TON’s bulletproof nature but uncovered some non-critical flaws, which were promptly addressed and fixed.
Part of CertiK’s audit was to learn and research a brand-new blockchain and unique programming language in FunC. Now, any project based on TON can get an audit from the platform.
Moreover, CoinMarketCap added the “Audits” tab to Toncoin’s page, where users can go to CertiK’s audit and read the report’s findings.
We’ll sign off today by reminding everyone about the Bug Bounty program, which offers up to $100,000 for found vulnerabilities on the TON blockchain.
Selling usernames on Fragment
Telegram has outdone itself once again. Now, it allows all its users to put up their usernames for sale on the auction platform Fragment, meaning Pavel Durov has delivered on his promise, which you can read here.
To get started, you need to convert regular “non-collectibles” into “TON collectibles” and open your auction.
For more details, you can follow Frament’s official guide:
https://fragment.com/about
The CAT project has also put together a guide to ensure your experience goes smoothly — you can find it below:
https://blog.ton.cat/fragment
The @wallet team has announced the next wallet update. Among the new features are a new user interface for sending and receiving TON, support of “.ton” domains, simple access to the wallet address, and a QR code for account funding.
The update allows you to transfer TON to other Telegram users not just quickly and for free but also to any TON address, including TON DNS domains. You can already test the new feature by pressing the "Send" button in the @wallet interface.
In addition, the new "Receive" section has greatly simplified access to the wallet address. @wallet users now have a QR code, and you can share your TON address with a few clicks.
The developers welcome users to share feedback and opinions on the wallet in the Wallet News channel comments. And we will continue to monitor the bot's updates and share them with you.
The TON blockchain will be connected to the cross-chain Orbit Bridge.
Orbit Bridge is a multi-chain bridge service with token conversion between mainnets with current support of 19 blockchains and 84 tokens. The platform is by Ozys, a South Korean blockchain company with additional TON development roadmap, including a TON native DEX scheduled for release on early January 2023.
The service has over $12.3 billion worth of assets locked and undergoes a quarterly security audit. Since its launch in 2020, Orbit has not suffered a breach.
Supported tokens on Orbit Bridge to and from TON ecosystem will include:
Ethereum-based tokens (51): WBTC, ETH, USDT, USDC, DAI, etc.
Polygon-based tokens (4): MATIC, MESH, etc.
Klaytn-based tokens (10): KLAY, KSP, etc.
Orbit Bridge Validators include leading names in the crypto industry, such as First Stage Labs, TON Ecosystem Builders, Cosmostation, Neoply, DSRV, M-block, Despread, Move Labs, B-harvest, Ozys, and more.
Ozys is currently developing its own TON-based DEX, which will launch early January 2023.
Justin Hyun, Head of Incubation at the TON Foundation, shared his comments on the occasion:
“With the introduction of TON as the latest mainnet on the Orbit Bridge, a host of new users will be introduced to the TON ecosystem. Vice-versa, TON users will be excited for the opportunity to hold stablecoins on TON mainnet. While mainnet native minting is our ultimate goal, we believe that multi-chain solution unlocks new potential for the TON ecosystem. Users that port over to TON will experience the advantages that our blockchain holds over its peers.”
Note: It is important for users to access the authentic website. There are other sites with deceiving names designed to trick unfamiliar users and we encourage our community to employ good security practices.
The blockchain industry was built on the promise of decentralization, but ended up being concentrated in the hands of a few who began to abuse their power. As a result, a lot of people lost their money when FTX, one of the largest exchanges, went bankrupt.
The solution is clear: blockchain-based projects should go back to their roots – decentralization. Cryptocurrency users should switch to trustless transactions and self-hosted wallets that don't rely on any single third party.
We, developers, should steer the blockchain industry away from centralization by building fast and easy-to-use decentralized applications for the masses. Such projects are finally feasible today.
It took only 5 weeks and 5 people including myself to put together Fragment – a fully decentralized auction platform. We were able to do this because Fragment is based on The Open Network, or TON – a blockchain platform that is fast and efficient enough to host popular applications (unlike Ethereum, which unfortunately remains outdated and expensive even after its recent tweaks).
Fragment has been an amazing success, with 50 million USD worth of usernames sold there in less than a month. This week, Fragment will expand beyond usernames.
Telegram's next step is to build a set of decentralized tools, including non-custodial wallets and decentralized exchanges for millions of people to securely trade and store cryptocurrencies. This way we can fix the wrongs caused by the excessive centralization, which let down hundreds of thousands of cryptocurrency users.
The time when the inefficiencies of legacy platforms justified centralization should be long gone. With technologies like TON reaching their potential, the blockchain industry should be finally able to deliver on its core mission – giving the power back to the people.

💡⠀TON Bridge: How does it work and how do the commissions calculate?
We are excited to introduce a new category to our channel: guest posts. Developers and project creators are welcome to contact us to discuss the peculiarities of The Open Network blockchain, and we will happily mention them. Our first guest: @oxlti, protocol architect QubeDAO Network, who is ready to tell you more about TON Bridge. Here we go!
⚫️ “TON Bridge is a Toncoin bridge that connects the Ethereum and Binance Chain networks (both are EVM blockchains, so the code is almost the same). Toncoin on ETH and BNB is secured by Toncoin on the TON blockchain. To withdraw from the ETH/BNB blockchains in The Open Network, you need to burn the Wrapped Toncoin.
⚫️ The bridge itself is a miniature of a Proof-of-Stake network (don't confuse it with a blockchain): there are oracles that facilitate the bridge's operation. Therefore, the TON Bridge is a multi-node bridge, which means that it is operated by more than one node. This makes it more secure since, unlike many other bridges with a single node, you will need to get control over 2/3 of all nodes to hack the TON Bridge. As a result, single-node bridges are much easier to hack, whereas each transaction using the TON bridge must be confirmed by a vote of 2/3 of the Oracle stake.
⚫️ To become an oracle of the bridge (possible for anyone), you need to do almost the same thing validators do: you must have an oracle stake (a deposit of a certain amount of Toncoin), and then specify two public keys for the TON and Ethereum sides.
Each change in configuration (the number of oracles and their stake) is verified by validators.
⚫️ Oracles must pay since there is no independent inflationary mechanism (like validators) in their activity and it is important to incentivise them to work. For this reason, the commission in the bridge was increased to 5 Toncoin, which is distributed as follows: 3 Toncoin goes to all oracles as payment for their work, and 2 Toncoin goes to pay for transaction gas.”
🖊 Recently, the developers of QubeDAO Network succeeded in launching the first oracle on TON (as mentioned earlier). We wish the project the best of luck in its promotion!

The STON.fi DEX has officially launched.
Yesterday, the TON-based STON.fi decentralized exchange went live.
Users can now trade tokens and become liquidity providers.
The only tokens available for trading are TON, FNZ, and WTON.
It’s important to note that the DEX’s total volume locked, or TVL, surpassed $100,000 only one hour after launching.
Another platform had the pleasure of launching yesterday as well, the DeDust DEX, a decentralized exchange on TON, which we’ll go into further detail soon.
The first TON ambassadors and a new member of the TON Foundation
Today, the TON Foundation announced two public-facing TON evangelists who will oversee communication with key players in the crypto industry and proselytize the largest audience possible for The Open Network’s philosophy.
The two individuals are:
▪️ Tal Kol, co-founder of Orbs Network and a member of TON Society.
▪️ Oleg Andreev, co-founder of crypto wallet Tonkeeper and a core developer at the TON Foundation.
The two ambassadors have experience building products based on TON and other blockchain projects. In April, Orbs became a key investor in the TONcoin.Fund, the ecosystem’s first.
The TON Foundation Board has a new member.
Manuel Stotz, a blockchain technology enthusiast and the founder of Kingsway Capital, is joining TON’s core team. Stotz has already left an invaluable mark on the development of the TON ecosystem, but now, he’ll concentrate on growing it further and strives to attract billions of users to Web3.
Let’s give a warm welcome to the newest member of the TON Foundation Board!
DWF Labs, the leading crypto market maker, invested $10 million in TON Ecosystem. In addition, a total of 50 seed investments are scheduled over the next 12 months. Every investment is designed to accelerate the growth of TON and its projects.
