​TON Foundation's Head of Incubation, Justin Hyun, is one of the judges at Web3Port's Demo Day

Justin Hyun, Head of Incubation at TON Foundation, will be participating as a judge at the Web3Port Entrepreneur Acceleration Winter 2022 Demo Day, an entrepreneur accelerator bootcamp.

Mr Hyun will weigh up the pros and cons of pitches from a variety of startups, including Bluesea, Capshort, INK Finance, SAO Network, Volare, Web3Go, Cyber8Ball, Nama Finance, Prestare Finance, Dsign, Gamephylum, and Autonomy.

The Demo Day begins at 17:00 UTC on April 18, 2023.

TON Foundation will soon start to work with blockchain accelerators and collaborate with some of the most innovative new projects in the Web3 space, who will be contributing to The Open Network (TON) Ecosystem.

Web3Port Entrepreneur Acceleration is a program where all partners can interact with selected startups and help them improve. The goal is to help startups have a product with more users, and to have more options for raising money.

Web3Port Entrepreneur Acceleration is held four times a year with around 20 projects in each batch. All projects will be gathered together for 8-12 weeks to dive into content, courses, and lectures about tokenomics, Web3 product design, fundraising, and community building.

The First Unlimited Bridge for ERC-20 tokens is here!

Today, The Open Network (TON) has unveiled its unlimited bridge for ERC-20 tokens. This cross-network token transfer service is a long-awaited development that brings TON one step closer to achieving complete interoperability with other Web3 networks.

With this unlimited bridge, users can now seamlessly transfer ERC-20 tokens between Ethereum and TON. This will significantly expand TON's available pool of liquidity, thereby significantly broadening the possibilities for decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and services within our growing ecosystem.

​Rules for digital security

As The Open Network (TON) Ecosystem continues to grow, we’d like to remind you about the basic steps you need to take to stay safe in the cryptocurrency space.

Rule #1: Invest carefully

There are a huge variety of NFT, decentralized finance (DeFi), and GameFi projects operating on TON today. We urge you to carefully study each and every project that you plan to invest in. Unfortunately, there is always the possibility that you could encounter either scammers (such as pump-and-dump schemes) or incompetent project teams.

Rule #2: Store your seed phrase securely

Remember: If you lose your 24-word seed phrase, you’ll lose access to your wallet and digital tokens forever.

Write your seed phrase down on a piece of paper and keep it in a safe place. Never store a screenshot of your seed phrase on your phone or computer.

In short, never store your seed phrase on a device connected to the internet.

It’s also worth reading our “Where can I store my Toncoin?” guide for more information.

Rule #3: Study the cryptocurrency exchange instruction guides

If you want to make a new transaction that you’ve never made before, you should first make a test transaction with a small amount (e.g. 0.5 TON) to make sure that everything is working as it should.

Remember: There are many instances when the cryptocurrency exchange's technical support will not be able to help you with a transaction.

Rule #4: Be careful with P2P transfers

The P2P sphere is especially prone to scammers.

If you buy and sell Toncoin via a P2P marketplace, don’t forget to read the safe trading tips from the @cryptobot team.

Rule #5: Don’t forget that the TON App directory does not represent official projects

A project team only needs to pass a simplified verification, rather than a fully-fledged one, to join the ton.app directory.

Therefore, the fact that a project is part of TON App does not guarantee security.

Rule #6: Don’t trust unfamiliar project teams

This applies to mining pools, staking pools, NFT collections and any project that promises you an income.

Always be skeptical about promises of easy money. Before investing in a project, always try to find an appropriate endorsement or mention in authorative TON materials.

If no mentions are found, then interacting with the project may involve risks and we recommend that you conduct your own research before proceeding any further.

Please follow these simple rules and only trust official TON information sources.

TON Diamonds in New York: new international artists will present their NFT-artworkds at Focus Art Fair exhibition.

STON.fi Roadmap: from TON DEX to Cross-Chain DEX 🪙

Exciting news, Stonfiers! We're thrilled to announce that we're finally lifting the veil of truth! 🎉

STON.fi Roadmap is in motion, and we're moving towards our goal of empowering the TON DeFi ecosystem with all might of fully functional cross-chain DEX.

STON.fi has its sights set on the future. On November 20th, the DEX was launched, offering secure token swaps on the TON blockchain through an extremely user-friendly interface.

🥌 STON.fi is now prepared to advance and integrate the liquidity of the TON blockchain with other networks, eliminating the need for bridges and centralized solutions.

🥌 In the upcoming development phase, swaps between TON and TRON networks will be facilitated without the use of bridges or wrapped tokens. Users can exchange native Toncoin within the TON network for native USDT in the TRC-20 network in a fully decentralized way! Crucially for the TON ecosystem, any project can integrate cross-chain swaps using our SDK.

🥌 During the third phase, token swaps between the TON and EVM-compatible networks, such as Ethereum and Polygon, will be implemented.

Bit.com hosts AMA on The Open Network (TON)

Pavel Braverman, a quantum analyst at Darley Technologies, along with KD Chen and Toya Zhang from Bit.com held an AMA on new instruments for Toncoin (TON) available on their platform and discussed TON options.

The Playmuse marketplace has created a label allowing NFT artists in the TON ecosystem to release their songs on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music and receive royalties in the form of Toncoin.

Playmuse, a The Open Network (TON)-based NFT marketplace for music and videos, has signed a partnership with French distributor Believe.
 
Artists who release their music through the Playmuse Records label will be able to disseminate their work to over 200 streaming services worldwide, including Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Amazon Music, while having the option to collect royalties in Toncoin (TON).

The Playmuse marketplace is a project in the TON ecosystem that has been expanding at astonishing speeds lately. By the end of the second quarter of 2023, the company aims to onboard over 2,000 artists, many of whom are household names.

TrueUSD (TUSD) is now live on The Open Network (TON)

TrueUSD (TUSD), a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar and audited in real time by an independent, industry-specialized accounting firm in the US, is available on The Open Network (TON) through Orbit Bridge. TUSD is among the fastest growing stablecoins in the digital token economy with a market capitalization of more than $2B.

Orbit Bridge is a cross-chain platform developed by Ozys that facilitates the seamless transfer of assets between different blockchains. Users can now store, send and receive TUSD directly on TON, as well as transfer it to other blockchains supported by Orbit Bridge.

We are excited to bring TUSD to the TON community and look forward to seeing the stablecoin deployed in many use cases for decentralized applications and transactions.

Tonstarter receives $1.5M investment, launches new Open Builders initiative

The Tonstarter launchpad, which started its journey in The Open Network (TON) Ecosystem as a crowdfunding platform, has transcended its original concept by launching Open Builders, a new platform that brings together all the Tonstarter initiatives in one place.

In the near future, Open Builders will release several new tools for TON builders. Meanwhile, it is already helping start-up projects with a series of initatives:

— aiding public token sales
— attracting investments with the help of the VC/Angel Investors club
— supporting an introductory course for Web3.

The Tonstarter launchpad will become part of a new large-scale platform and will continue to conduct IDOs, develop the Community Incentives loyalty program and Tonstarter Learn.

A few days ago, Open Builders also launched its first original product, Open Rating, enabling anyone to provide reviews for blockchain projects.

Tonkeeper, the most popular wallet in The Open Network (TON) Ecosystem, has received a major update. Tonkeeper is now even faster, smoother, more convenient and has made the following important upgrades to the service:

​Results From the TON Awards 2022 Contest: The Open Network’s (TON) Biggest-Ever Prize Fund.

Today, TON Foundation handed out awards to independent developers who developed and launched non-commercial projects on TON Blockchain in 2022.

40 teams split the total prize fund of 301,920 Toncoin (TON) ($675,000 at the time of writing), which happens to be the biggest in TON’s history.

We want to take this opportunity to praise the efforts and enthusiasm of the TON dev community: These teams took it upon themselves to create products, many of which required painstaking work for months on end.

Bitfinex lists Toncoin (TON)

Bitfinex, the most liquid Bitcoin exchange, has today listed Toncoin (TON), with trading in TON/USDT and TON/USD available on the platform.

Bitfinex was founded in 2012 and is currently ranked sixth in CoinMarketCap's overall rankings. Despite the current bear market conditions, Bitfinex's average daily trading volume exceeds $260M and the total asset value on the platform is $9.7B.

Orbs releases single nominator smart contract for validators on The Open Network (TON)

Orbs, a decentralized public blockchain infrastructure provider, has launched a new smart contract that improves security for validators on The Open Network (TON). This is the latest contribution to TON by Orbs, which recently set up TON Access, a decentralized RPC network for TON dApps.

The new smart contract means that even if a hacker obtains access to the validator server, the hacker will not be able to remove any Toncoin (TON). In addition to the added security, this new feature will help make TON more decentralized by encouraging individual users to participate in validation.

​Fragment Powers Growth on The Open Network (TON)

Today, we’d like to profile the digital assets you can buy with Toncoin (TON) on Fragment, a decentralized auction platform launched in the Autumn of 2022.

▪️ Short, unique usernames

On Fragment, you can buy Telegram usernames in the “username.t.me” format. Fragment has implemented TON DNS technology, which means no one will ever be able to dispute ownership rights of usernames because they will all be on the TON Blockchain.

▪️ Anonymous virtual phone numbers

You can also buy a virtual phone number with a +888 code as an NFT on the TON Blockchain.

This kind of phone number cannot be used to make calls or register on third-party services. However, it can be used to create an anonymous account on Telegram.

▪️ Telegram Premium

A few days ago, Fragment added a payment option for Telegram Premium subscriptions for TON.

The new addition allows you to pay for a subscription or send one to another Telegram user as a gift.

​TON Network receives update on March 28

TON Foundation has always been diligent in emphasizing TON Blockchain’s stability and user protection as our top priority. The proof is on the blockchain: Since the beginning of last year, the network has not experienced a single breakdown or failure.

On March 28, the validators pushed an update that amended the network’s configuration.

The update improved:

▪️ Security against DDoS attacks
▪️ Network optimization when handling large throughput.

Over the past year, the number of accounts on TON Network has increased 14 times, with the number of transactions surpassing 120 million.

Despite the ecosystem’s meteoric growth, the blockchain’s transaction fees remain low, fast and stable.

The Open Network’s architecture gives it the flexibility to process a higher throughput comprising up to millions of transactions per second.
 
A stress test conducted not long ago concluded that, even if the number of validators on the blockchain dwindled to only 12, the network would still be able to handle the current load — but times 100.

TON is equipped with state-of-the-art blockchain technology and is poised for mass adoption.

Telegram Premium service now accepts Toncoin (TON).

Fragment has added an option where users can purchase Telegram's Premium subscription service using Toncoin (TON), the native cryptocurrency of The Open Network (TON).

A three, six or 12-month subscription are all available using a Tonkeeper address.

Telegram Premium is a subscription service that unlocks additional exclusive features, while helping to support the development of the app.

The ability to pay for a subscription using TON will attract a lot of new users to the TON ecosystem and bring mass adoption closer.

TON Foundation is launching the TON Wallet Challenge with a $60,000 prize pool.

The competition is open to iOS, Android, and desktop developers. Your task is to create a new TON Wallet application that can replace the existing wallets. Guidelines, evaluation criteria, technical requirements, and useful resources are available on GitHub.

To participate, you can submit your application through @toncontests_bot, and further information about the contest can be found on the official website.

The competition will last for 2 months and will end on May 22.
