Our most fundamental rights — freedom of speech and digital privacy — are under attack like never before. Governments and political correctness worldwide are tightening their grip, threatening to silence voices and monitor our every move online. The arrest of Pavel Durov in France isn’t the first time Durov has had to fight for our rights. Durov didn’t back down last time. Instead, he launched the #DigitalResistance — a movement to fight censorship and defend digital privacy.

The symbol of this movement? A dog in a hood. The Resistance Dog. In 2011, Pavel Durov was ordered to eradicate the posts of liberal thinkers and dissidents. In response, Pavel posted a picture of his dog, refusing to silence anyone on his platform. Since then, this dog has become the mascot of free speech. It has become an emblem of hope, incredible strength, and courage.

This isn’t just about one man; it’s about defending the rights of every individual. The #DigitalResistance is a movement for all of us who believe that privacy is a right, not a privilege, and that free speech is the foundation of a free society. Congrats to @dogs_community who have started their onchain claim process. We hear they are currently processing up to 150K requests a minute, and we expect this number to increase.

Today is not only an important day for the digital resistance to show its power. It's also a day where TON will be stress-tested by up to 10 million users making transactions somewhat simultaneously.

Expect slight delays in transaction processing times as the network expands to handle the load.

BtcTurk lists Toncoin (TON)

BtcTurk, Turkey's largest crypto trading platform, has announced the listing of Toncoin (TON). Deposits and withdrawals for Toncoin are now live, with trading against the Turkish lira and USDt set to begin on August 15 at 12:00 PM UTC.

As one of Turkey's first centralized exchanges, BtcTurk facilitated the first Bitcoin purchase in Turkish lira on July 1, 2013. The platform now serves over 5M registered users and offers 24/7 Turkish lira deposits and withdrawals through integration with seven Turkish banks, providing low exchange fees for its users.
