‼️What’s the most dangerous way to scam now?
Nowadays, there are crypto drainers on the market, malware that is mostly hidden in ZIP archives. If you open such a file on your computer, the hacker can get access to all the wallets and extensions in your browser! And they can easily get hold of your assets.
💼Where to store cryptocurrency?
For safe keeping of your funds, it is recommended to use only cold (hardware) wallets. They exclude the possibility of withdrawing your funds without confirmation on the device itself. Also, you should keep in mind that it is necessary to keep your seed phrase not in digital form because if your device is stolen, hacked or broken, your funds will be irrevocably lost!
👀Attention and vigilance
“Measure twice, cut once” — the most appropriate proverb concerning any, even the most insignificant, actions with cryptocurrency. Even the most experienced users can fall into the trap of an intruder. The reason is a lack of concentration or, on the contrary, too much attention to some factors and ignoring others. For example, you’re afraid of landing on a phishing site, so you meticulously check every character of the site’s address. However, the threat awaits you elsewhere: The token you bought comes with a fake contract address.
🎭Social engineering
One of the main ways to influence a person is through social engineering. Crypto-fraudsters may have different ways of achieving their goals. They can study the channels you are a member of, analyze your posts in them, write in different languages, even have premium accounts and more to earn your trust.

TON has been integrated into the cross-chain Orbit Bridge, which connects 19 blockchains and 84 popular tokens.
Cross-chain services are projects, designed to transfer tokens securely from one blockchain to another through the bridges. For example, using bridges, it’s possible to transfer native ETH token from Ethereum to the TON blockchain.
After integration of the TON with the mentioned bridge, it is now possible to use popular tokens, such as USDT, DAI, ETH, MATIC and others. The security of the bridge is provided by a number of proven validators: FS Labs, Movelabs, Everstake, Node A-Team and others.
Bridge developer Ozys has announced the launch of DEX on the TON blockchain early next year, so the fun is just getting started. 😉

The blockchain industry was built on the promise of decentralization, but ended up being concentrated in the hands of a few who began to abuse their power. As a result, a lot of people lost their money when FTX, one of the largest exchanges, went bankrupt.

It took only 5 weeks and 5 people including myself to put together Fragment – a fully decentralized auction platform. We were able to do this because Fragment is based on The Open Network, or TON – a blockchain platform that is fast and efficient enough to host popular applications (unlike Ethereum, which unfortunately remains outdated and expensive even after its recent tweaks).
Fragment has been an amazing success, with 50 million USD worth of usernames sold there in less than a month. This week, Fragment will expand beyond usernames.
Telegram's next step is to build a set of decentralized tools, including non-custodial wallets and decentralized exchanges for millions of people to securely trade and store cryptocurrencies. This way we can fix the wrongs caused by the excessive centralization, which let down hundreds of thousands of cryptocurrency users.
The time when the inefficiencies of legacy platforms justified centralization should be long gone. With technologies like TON reaching their potential, the blockchain industry should be finally able to deliver on its core mission – giving the power back to the people.

Fanzee’s team announced a whole month of challenges, which is timed just for the World Cup event! Thematic quizzes and a chance to collect unique NFTs and gifts are all waiting for fans during the next month.

How to identify fraud in crypto
“Scam” might be the first word needed to know for crypto newcomers because it’s better to hear about these stories than to become a victim of fraud. Below are a few notes on safety in crypto and ways not to lose your assets.
1. Transaction comments
Any “giveaway” advertised in a transaction’s comment mentioning the name Durov or the TON Foundation brand is clearly a crypto scam. Projects offering giveaways always broadcast on their official social media channels and nowhere else.
2. Suspicious sites
After you’ve installed the browser extension to access your TON wallet, you instantly get access to many features, like logging in to marketplaces, managing your assets on your PC, etc. But it is important to understand the risk of connecting your wallet to untrustworthy sites and signing smart contracts on them — the risk of fraud increases instantly. Please, only use trusted sites with natural activity on social media.
3. Social engineering
You’ll never get a direct message from a “TON team member” or from an “nonpublic developer of TON” with an offer to follow a link or send them your seed phrase (the 24 words given to you when you create a wallet). Official links, announcements for community activities, and a list of team members are always placed on the project’s site or social media accounts.
4. Community
The TON community is significant in its openness to newcomers. You can find any thematic chat in Telegram and ask!
An AMA with Fanzee and a token airdrop

🥋 A seed phrase’s self-defense routine
1. Choose a wallet 💰
A cryptocurrency wallet should be verified by the community, developers, and TON! Doing a little research on reviews about the safety and reputation of a wallet is essential if you want to keep your funds safe.
2. Where do I enter my seed phrase? ⌨️
No project on TON or any other blockchain will ask for your seed phrase. Every blockchain-based project can interact with your wallet through transactions that you personally confirm in the wallet’s interface – and there is no other way. Do not enter your seed phrase in bots, websites, or chats.
3. Seed phrase and clipboard 📝
You have to be extra careful if you want to copy your seed phrase. Make sure that no one has access to the clipboard on your device; otherwise, the most reliable solution is to replace doing “CTRL+C-CTRL+V” with writing your seed phrase with a pen and paper.
4. Unverified software ⌨️
An app’s code can be hacked regardless of how popular the brand is or how much funding it has received. Pirated software should be avoided at all costs because its creators may have nefarious intentions, such as stealing your money.
☑️ We urge you to check the safety of the seed phrase from “unwanted” eyes and malicious software code so that your investments will belong only to you.

CertiK’s audit of The Open Network
In the spring of this year, the TON Foundation embarked on an ambitious endeavor with CertiK, a highly sought-after auditing platform in the crypto industry that conducts vulnerability searches and smart contract code analyses.
A few days ago, the audit’s initial report of TON’s core (catchain), system smart contracts, and smart contracts of vesting wallets was released.
The audit confirmed TON’s bulletproof nature but uncovered some non-critical flaws, which were promptly addressed and fixed.
Part of CertiK’s audit was to learn and research a brand-new blockchain and unique programming language in FunC. Now, any project based on TON can get an audit from the platform.
