First, Where do you hold your funds? If you hold them in a CEX just trade them through there. In case you have your funds in a metamask, you can use a service like chainge finance and bridge your funds to Rollux to trade in Pegasys and buy Sys.

In the Syscoin UTXO chain, we can find 2 types of public addresses.
Legacy addresses, which are similar to Bitcoin, and SegWit addresses, "the most common", start with "sys1...".
⚠️ In both directions you can send and receive without problems, they are compatible
Most of the Wallets have a security verification system integrated, which prevents the user from making a mistake by entering an incorrect or incompatible destination address.
In the event that the Pali Wallet does not correctly detect the Legacy address "since it is primarily designed to use SegWit UTXO addresses", it could detect that the address is incorrect, and therefore not allow the transaction to be sent.
Deactivating this security option in the Wallet settings "at your own risk", unchecking this security check, would allow sending.
