✅Harappan script
🔴 The Harappan script, also known as the Indus script, is a collection of symbols used by the Indus Valley Civilization. Here are some key points about it:
1. Number of Signs: The Harappan script is known to have between 400 and 600 signs. About 40 to 60 of these are basic signs, while the rest are variants formed by adding different accents, inflexions, or other letters to the basic signs.
2. Undeciphered: Despite numerous attempts, the Harappan script remains undeciphered. There is no known bilingual inscription to help decode it.
3. S. R. Rao's Claim: Indian archaeologist S. R. Rao claimed to have deciphered the script, suggesting it was a proto-Dravidian language. However, this claim has not been widely accepted by the scholarly community.
4. Photographic Nature: The script is regarded as photographic, representing birds, fish, and a variety of human forms.
5. Time Period: The script was used approximately between 3500 BCE and 1900 BCE.
6. Writing Direction: The script is believed to be written from right to left, and sometimes in a boustrophedon style (alternating direction lines).
7. Medium: The symbols have been found on various mediums, including seals, pottery, bronze tools, and small tablets made of steatite, bronze, and copper.
🔴 The Harappan script remains one of the great mysteries of ancient civilizations, and efforts to decipher it continue to this day.

✅Mesolithic Period
🔴 The Mesolithic period, also known as the Middle Stone Age, began approximately 12,000 years ago and lasted until around 10,000 years ago. This period was marked by several significant changes, including:
1. Transition from Hunter-Gatherers to Farmers: This period saw a shift from the nomadic lifestyle of the Paleolithic hunter-gatherers to a more settled way of life, which eventually led to the agricultural practices of the Neolithic period.
2. Stone Tool Innovations: There were advancements in stone tool technology, including the development of microliths—small, finely crafted stone tools that were often used as part of composite tools.
3. Sedentary Lifestyle: The Mesolithic period witnessed the first evidence of permanent settlements. People began to build more durable structures and live in one place for extended periods.
4. Funerary Rites: The earliest evidence of complex funerary practices, including grave goods and burial rituals, dates back to this period. This suggests the emergence of social differentiation and spiritual beliefs.
5. Art and Utensils: There was a continuation and evolution of artistic expression, including cave paintings that depicted human figures and animals. Additionally, evidence of ceramic work and other utensils has been found.
6. Climate Changes and Development of Grasslands: The end of the last glacial period brought about a more temperate climate, leading to the development of grasslands. This allowed for a greater variety of plant and animal life, which supported the development of more stable communities.
🔴 These changes collectively marked a significant transformation in human societies during the Mesolithic period.
