First of all problem is Android optimized ano alleyo directly nokan code und
iOS angane alla you can only measure it's performance
But direct observation patilla, bcos code is not available. So most small changes (which together plays a big role) goes unnoticed.

Second, Apple relatively handles RAM much better than Android does.
Apple can keep apps suspended in the background better than Android, which again we don't know exactly how bcos we have no code. We can only speculate it's swaping or compressing. But what we do know is iOS does it much better

3rd is touch latency and media playback platform

Most of all RAW power that is used efficiently.
Apple ARM based anu use cheyunne, but ARM does allow custom CPU architecture.
Gary fails to mention that.

Like Snapdragon's Kyro, Apple uses custom architecture which is much better than anything competition has to offer.

Last, I don't know how much this helps
But Apple displays are properly calibrated to sRGB colour space( new Pixels are not)
This means most of the display stays towards the primary colours
Meaning phone has an easier time displaying them
(Most Android displays use wider colour gamut + saturation all the time).

And Java makes use of garbage collector for memory management which is unnecessary.

And running code on a VM does take more time when longer tasks are run.


That's exactly why Google is trying to kill off Java entirely from Android (also Google hates Oracle).


These are another reason why Apple needs less battery to get through a day compared to Android.

Androidinde approach is add more hardware when limitations arise
Apple approach is totally opposite
Add only if absolutely necessary.


And stock Android does matter.(Google's optimizations). That's why Pixel(OG) beats Note 8 and OP5 in real world performance test by XDA.(even though they all run Android).

Similar reason why A1 is faster than Mi5X.
