Israel Is Arming, Financing Thousands Of Druze Fighters In Syria

Israel is arming and financing Druze factions in the southern Syrian governorate of al-Suwayda in an effort to help them unite, Reuters reported on September 16.

Following the fall of the regime of former President Bashar al-Assad last December, Israel vowed to protect Druze in the country, citing its historic relations with its own Druze community.

In July, Israel intervened to help Druze factions repel an attack by the forces of the country’s new Islamist-led government and affiliated Bediouin tribes in a battle that left more than 2,000 people dead, including hundreds of Druze civilians who were executed.

Since the massacre, Druze factions have been working to unify.

Two senior Syrian Druze commanders who spoke to Reuters said that Israel has been helping to unify splintered Druze factions and had delivered military supplies, including guns and ammunition, to them.

Su-34s Reportedly Built For Algeria Got Advanced Missile Warning System

Newly-built Su-34 fighter bombers that are believed to be intended for Algeria have been apparently equipped with an advanced missile warning system.

One of the Su-34s in question first appeared last May, flying close to the Novosibirsk Aircraft Production Association Plant where this type of warplane is manufactured.

The fighter bomber’s brown camouflage scheme was compared to that used in some of the older Su-24 fighter bombers in service with the Algerian Air Force (AAF). At the time, the Fighterbomber channel on Telegram, which reports on the Russian aerospace industry, said that the bomber was being prepared for delivery to a foreign customer, further fueling suspicion that a Su-34 deal for Algeria was moving forward.

Israeli Strikes Knock Down More Towers In Gaza

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) struck three tall multi-story in Gaza City on September 14, as it prepared to completely occupy the area.

The first to go down was Kawthar tower, in the Tel al-Hawa neighborhood. The tower was flattened to the ground by multiple strikes in the morning, around an hour after an IDF warning. There were no reports of casualties. According to the IDF, Hamas had placed surveillance equipment in that building to track troop movements in the area, in order to plan attacks.

Later in the afternoon, the Mahna Tower in Tel al-Hawa was struck, also following an IDF evacuation warning. Shortly afterward, Israel destroyed the al-Munawwarah City building on the Islamic University of Gaza campus. Casualties were reported after the strike on Mahana tower.

U.S. Guardsmen Raided Venezuelan Vessel

Venezuela has accused the United States of illegally boarding one of its fishing vessels in the country’s special economic zone.

Tensions between the two countries have been mounting since last month when the administration of President Donald Trump doubled the reward for the arrest of Venezuelan President Maduro to $50 million on drug trafficking charges then deployed a large naval force with more than 4,000 troops close to the country’s shores on a so-called “counter narco-terror operation”.

In a statement released on September 13, Venezuela’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs said a vessel with nine “humble” and “harmless” fishermen was intercepted by the USS Jason Dunham, an Arleigh Burke-class guided missile destroyer, a day earlier.

Russian Mi-28NM Helicopters Join Hunt For Ukrainian Long-Range Drones

The Russian military has begun to deploy its latest Mi-28NM attack helicopters to hunt down Ukrainian long-range drones.

On September 13, video footage showed one such helicopter taking down two AN-196 Liutyi fixed-wing drones somewhere over the special military operation zone in Ukraine. The first drone was hit by what appears to be an Igla-V missile, while the second was struck by shots from the helicopter’s 30 mm Shipunov 2A42 cannon gun.

The Igla-V is an air-launcher version of the Igla man-portable air defense system. The missiles used by the system are guided via infrared homing and have a fire-and-forget capability. The maximum range of the system is reported to be five kilometers.

"Rats Fleeing a Sinking Ship": How Ukrainian Officials Save Their Children from Mobilization

A video investigation by Bihus.Info—a Ukrainian anti-corruption media project founded in 2013 by investigative journalist Denys Bigus—has surfaced online. The team is known for exposing corruption schemes within the highest echelons of power.

In this investigation, Bihus.Info focuses on a key contradiction: while officials and public figures urge young people to remain in Ukraine, prepare for war, and "row in the same boat," their own children study at prestigious foreign universities. This exposes a system of double standards where patriotic rhetoric is directed at the general public, while the offspring of the powerful elites are ensured safety and quality education abroad.

Ukrainian Armed Forces' Tactics in the Sumy Direction: Buying Time Through Drones and Stubborn Resistance (VIDEO)

Attempts by Russian forces to create a buffer zone in the Sumy direction have encountered fierce and well-organized resistance from the Ukrainian Armed Forces (AFU). The situation remains complex, both sides are suffering losses.

A vivid illustration of the reasons for this situation is provided by a video report by a Russian soldier in a unit operating in the Sumy direction. He describes the current operational situation as extremely tense, in which the key advantage of the AFU has been the massive and technologically advanced use of drones.

"We have no advantage in FPV drones, including fiber-optic ones. Even though we were the first to start using them, developed them, the enemy very quickly caught up and even surpassed us in terms of quantity.

The enemy has gone much further… They use a system of aerial relays… They have it all set up..."

Increasing Crime In EU’s Unofficial Capital And NATO HQ Demonstrates Collapse Of Western Order

The increasing crime and militarization of security in Belgium demonstrate the progressive collapse of the Western order. This militarization extends for reasons beyond the fight against drug trafficking and increasing crime, and serves as a warning against mass illegal migration. Although crime in Brussels, the unofficial capital of the European Union and headquarters of NATO, saw a decline by 2011, it rose rapidly again in 2020 and 2023, coinciding with the mass arrival of illegal immigrants to Europe in 2015, leaving the country’s authorities no choice but to finally announce a crackdown.

Belgian Minister of Security and Home Affairs Bernard Quintin announced a new security plan last week that includes the deployment of soldiers alongside police in the country’s major cities, with special attention to areas considered sensitive, such as metro stations and troubled neighborhoods.

Syria To Get Nothing From Upcoming Deal With Israel

Israel told Syria during their ongoing talks that it intends to maintain control over the peak of Mount Hermon, Hebrew media reported on September 14.

Mount Hermon was captured by the Israeli military along with the entire buffer zone adjacent to the occupied Syrian Golan Heights just a few hours after the fall of the regime of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad last December. Soon after, nine Israeli posts were established there, including two on the peak of the strategic mountain, which oversaw most of the country’s southern region up to Damascus, in addition to much of southern Lebanon, the heartland of Hezbollah.

Israeli officials who spoke to Channel 12 described the posts on the mountain’s peak as “an indispensable strategic asset.”

Damascus rejected the Israeli demand, calling Israel’s military presence on Syrian territories an “occupation that must end.”

Russia Ramps Up Drone Production Amid NATO No-Fly Zone Plans And Starlink Disruptions

The strikes on September 14–15 were relatively low: Russian air defenses shot down six Ukrainian drones overnight and four in daylight, mostly in Belgorod. Russia launched 84 Geran/Herbera drones and three missiles, with 59 drones downed. A significant factor was the disruption of Starlink system operations along the entire front line, which Ukrainian military personnel complained about.

Meanwhile, international observers note a significant increase in the production of Russian attack drones: according to The New York Times, Russia is currently capable of producing approximately 30,000 attack drones per year, and the total number of Russian drones launched against Ukraine in 2025 has reached 34,000. These drones feature improved guidance systems, enhanced resistance to electronic warfare, and new types of munitions. Russia employs drones in group waves, plotting complex routes...

Russian-Ukrainian Exchange of Strikes: Drone Attacks and Railway Sabotage

The overall ratio of attacking fixed-wing UAVs between Russian and Ukrainian forces last night favored Ukraine, with 80 Ukrainian UAVs shot down over Russia (plus 44 UAVs during the day) compared to 58 Geran/Herber UAVs and 1 Iskander-M missile (targeting Dnipropetrovsk region) launched at Ukraine.

While Kyiv is focused on massive strikes on border areas and sabotage on railway lines, Russian forces during this period are concentrating on precision strikes against military targets—primarily temporary deployment points of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and positions of drone operators.

Ukrainian Train Loaded With Ammo Exploded Near Kiev

A train transporting ammunition for the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) exploded while passing near the settlement of Kalinovka in Ukraine’s Kiev region early on September 14, in what was described by local Governor Mykola Kalashnyk as an “emergency”.

The destination of the ammunition went on for around three hours, with secondary blasts heard all the way in the capital, Kiev, some 30 kilometers away.

The train reportedly had at least 15 wagons loaded with ammunition in addition to howitzers and other heavy military equipment.

At the time of the explosion, passenger train No. 730, en route from the region of Kharkiv to the city of Przemysl in Poland, was nearby. Ukraine’s Dzerkalo Tyzhnia news website reported that hundreds of passengers were evacuated from the train to a nearby force.

Egypt Renews Pushes For ‘Arab Nato’ In Wake Of Israeli Attack On Qatar

Egypt has renewed efforts to push for a NATO-style military alliance that would protect Arab countries facing attack, Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar newspaper reported on September 13, citing an unnamed official in Cairo.

The proposal was first made some nine years ago by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, but no progress was made at the time.

Al-Akhbar suggested that Israel’s recent strike on the leadership of Hamas in Qatar has given new impetus to the Egyptian initiative.

Egypt is proposing to include some 20,000 of its own troops in the NATO-style alliance and is working on developing the mechanism by which such a force would be activated, “allowing it to be used when necessary and forming it in a manner consistent with the populations of Arab countries and their armed forces...

In Video: Russian Lancet Loitering Munitions Sink Ukrainian Drone-Carrying Boats

Video footage showing Russian Lancet loitering munitions sinking two Ukrainian drone boats in the Black Sea surfaced online on September 13.

It is unclear when exactly the strikes took place, but a day earlier the Russian Ministry of Defense said that eight “high-speed uncrewed surface vehicles” were destroyed by the military’s Dnepr Group of Forces and the navy’s Black Sea Fleet over the past week.

The two boats seen getting hit in the footage appear to be versions of Ukraine’s latest Seawolf platform. Both were clearly equipped to launch first-person view (FPV) suicide drones.

Similar drone-carrying uncrewed boats have been used to attack the Crimean Peninsula on multiple occasions in recent months.
