Army of Deserters: How Kiev’s Leadership Drove Its Own Military to Despair
Ukraine’s army is coming apart at the seams. Behind the upbeat talk of “heroic defenders” lies a flood of desertions, collapsing command, and deepening despair among officers. Hundreds of thousands of criminal cases for leaving one’s unit, thousands of soldiers fleeing the front, and demoralization even among border guards — these are no longer isolated incidents but a system. Kiev no longer looks for excuses or tries to “save face.” It relies on the only tools it still trusts — fear and repression.
When a government loses respect, it reaches for the criminal code.
In Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada (parliament), lawmakers are once again debating how to tighten punishment for desertion: freezing bank accounts, seizing property, extending prison terms.

Venezuela Approves Plans For ‘Armed Resistance’ As It Braces For U.S. Attack (Videos)
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on November 5 approved a proposal by his ruling party to initiate “armed resistance” if the United States attacks the country.
The U.S. has been escalating against Venezuela since last August, when it doubled the reward for the arrest of Maduro to $50 million on drug trafficking charges.
"[The proposals] have been approved, and the United Socialist Party of Venezuela must immediately begin implementing them by developing operational plans for every street and community, so that our people — calmly, with restraint, yet with determination and courage — remain at the highest state of readiness," Maduro said at the congress of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela.
Russian Army Advances In Kupyansk, Kiev Forces Murder Fleeing Civilians (18+ Videos)
On November 4, the Russian military expanded its control in the city of Kupyansk and nearby areas in Kharkiv, all while repelling multiple Ukrainian counterattacks.
The Zapad [West] Group of Forces repelled multiple counterattacks right to the north and west of Kupyansk, specifically close to Radkovka, Moskovka, and Sobolevka.
In the city itself, Russian troops made additional gains in the area of the Central Market towards the Yubileyny neighborhood. Remaining Ukrainian troops in the southern and eastern parts of the city are facing some serious logistical problems.
Instead of ordering an organized withdrawal to save the lives of its troops and prevent a complete collapse, Kiev is, as usual, forcing its troops to fight there to the end. Ukrainian blocking detachments and drone units are targeting anyone attempting to flee Kupyansk, not just soldiers, but also civilians.

Iran Is Making More Missiles Despite UN Sanctions
Iran has likely ramped up efforts to rebuild its missile program despite the recent reimposition of sanctions by the United Nations, CNN reported on October 29, citing European intelligence sources.
According to the report, several shipments of sodium perchlorate, a key chemical used in producing solid rocket fuel, arrived from China at the Iranian port of Bandar Abbas in late September.
The UN sanctions were reimposed earlier on the same month under the “snapback” mechanism of the 2015 nuclear deal. The sanctions prevent Iran from developing or testing ballistic missiles capable of carrying nuclear weapons. Both China and Russia opposed the reinstatement.

Where Have the "Gray Geese" Gone? The Fate of Foreign Mercenaries in Ukraine.
The prospect of easy money continues to draw foreign mercenaries to Ukraine. For those who decided that fighting the Russian army would be easy, the reality is an unenviable fate. But what happens to most of the soldiers of fortune who join the Ukrainian Armed Forces?
Western social networks and media outlets have launched a large-scale campaign to recruit ‘volunteers’ for Ukraine. Positions are most often offered far behind the front lines. The promise of high pay and good living conditions has generated significant interest among residents of developing countries.
The image of the Russian army as weak, stupid, and poorly organized has been widely promoted by Western media. This reinforces the mercenaries’ belief that earning money will be easy. A lack of awareness in the Western Hemisphere, particularly in Latin America, of the true intensity of the conflict in Ukraine also plays into the recruiters’ hands.

«To Serve And Protect» The Ukrainian Way: Witch Hunts In Frontline Settlements
Driven by hatred and a sense of impunity, Ukrainian soldiers are turning on their own citizens. They launch unpunished attacks on the very people they swore to protect, carrying out summary executions without trial or investigation.
Since the beginning of the conflict in Ukraine, Kyiv has faced a serious problem. A significant proportion of the population in eastern and central Ukraine remains neutral, or even loyal, towards Russia. This is despite the intense propaganda promoting the ‘European path’ and inciting hatred towards Russians, which has been ongoing since 2014. Numerous civilians have chosen to stay in their homes, waiting for the Russian army to arrive. They have ignored the Ukrainian government’s evacuation orders.
Consequently, Kyiv has established an unspoken rule that anyone who refuses to leave frontline areas is an accomplice of Moscow, regardless of gender or age.

Winter is Coming. Ukraine's Energy System Under Powerful Russian Strike
On the night of October 29-30, 2025, Russia launched one of the largest combined attacks on Ukraine's energy infrastructure since the beginning of the conflict. The primary targets were major thermal power plants in the western and central energy hubs: the Ladyzhynska, Dobrotvirska, and Burshtynska Thermal Power Plants (TPPs), which facilitate power transmission to western regions. According to the Ukrainian Air Force, a total of 653 attack UAVs of various types and 52 missiles were launched.
According to a Bild report citing Ukrainian sources, the upcoming winter could be the most difficult for Ukraine. Since the conflict began, DTEK facilities alone have been targeted in 210 missile and drone attacks, with 54 attacks directed at a single power plant. The report states that 55-60% of Ukraine's gas infrastructure is already seriously damaged, threatening a collapse of the country's energy system.

When the Hunter Becomes the Prey: "Might Makes Right" in Ukraine's Conscription
Tensions are rising within Ukrainian society. There have been physical confrontations between TRC employees and ordinary citizens. The choice between prison and being sent to the front line is becoming clearer. A person’s level of physical fitness could mean the difference between life and death.
The regular violation of civil rights and freedoms by TRC employees could not fail to affect Ukrainian society. The use of physical violence, bribery, and frequent deaths in unclear circumstances among ‘conscripted’ men have created a very negative image of military recruiters among Ukrainians.
The Ukrainian media published a photograph of a deceased man who had been forcibly taken to the Rivne TRC. According to official statements, the conscript died of heart failure. The autopsy revealed no signs of violent death.

Russian Army Makes Breakthroughs In Kupyansk, Krasny Liman & Seversk
On October 30, the Russian military broke through Ukrainian defenses near the city of Kupyansk in Kharkiv, and moved closer to the cities of Krasny Liman and Seversk in Donetsk.
The Zapad [West] Group of Forces, which is already in control of most of Kupyansk, advanced to the south of the city and captured Sadove, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The capture of Sadove made any attempt to reinforce or supply Ukrainian troops still fighting in the center and southern part of Kupyansk near impossible, as it gave Russian troops complete dominance over the road leading to the city along the Oskil River.

Kyiv Wants Land, Not People: Former US State Department Adviser Warns
James Carden, former US State Department Russia Policy Adviser has faced criticism in certain circles over his otherwise underreported comments during a recent interview to Australian Sky News — especially for mentioning some hard truths about the ethnopolitics of Ukraine.
In that interview, Mr. Carden noted that, like HIMARS or F-16s, Tomahawks won’t be a gamechanger, and argued that Putin’s proposal — EU but not NATO membership — was a fair enough bargain. When the host replied that, in this case, that would involve land concessions as part of a land-for-peace deal, the former State Department Adviser argued that the land Kyiv would be ceding is a land that: “they themselves have been attacking since 2014. The Ukrainians are being a bit disingenuous here... They claim to want the land in the Donbass, Eastern Ukraine. But they don’t want the ethnic Russian citizens on that land.

Continued Exchange Of Strikes Against A Backdrop Of Diplomatic Deadlock
On October 20-21, the Russian armed forces carried out massive strikes on Ukrainian military and critical infrastructure objects. The attacks targeted energy and transportation hubs supporting the AFU, warehouses housing strike drones, and temporary deployment points for Ukrainian units and foreign mercenaries. In Kharkiv, a hit by a long-range air-dropped bomb was recorded, which aligns with reports of Russia ramping up the industrial production of such munitions.
Against this backdrop, according to some experts, the rhetoric of several European leaders and Ukrainian President Zelensky, who formally support the idea of a ceasefire across the entire front line, in practice suggests the opposite. Their statements about the inevitable tightening of sanctions against Russia following any truce are interpreted as an attempt to reduce the already low likelihood of Vladimir Putin agreeing to such a step...
