It's funny that currently on Discogs there's some 20+ sub-division styles of heavy metal, but no divisions whatsoever of prog rock. Like with this, it is prog rock, but has nothing in common whatsoever with the likes of Genesis or Yes. This Japanese band played a very unusual heavy concoction that fused a load of different influences into something often a bit closer to metal, which they saw fit to top with a bizarre female operatic singer. So untypical of prog then, it probably needs a style name all of its own!

SONCNA POT (En. "The Sunny Street/way/path") was one of the first groups in Yugoslavia to introduce ethno-fusion jazz elements. A short-lived trio consisting of saxophonist and composer Lado Jaksa (ex-PREDMESTJE, SEDMINA, BULDOZER), drummer Ratko Divjak (ex-TIME) and jazz bassist Jordan Gancev. Recorded only once, self-titled and highly recommended album in 1979, which is now a rare collectors item.

This early 70's jazz-rock band from Munich has had a rather short career; in fact, it lasted the space of an album called "Nevergreen!", released in 1972. Then the band broke up, most of their members scatttering about in various directions. They consisted of guitarist Markus Sing, soprano and alto sax player Gunther Latuschik, bassist Dave Schratzenstaller, vocalist Gabriel Dominik Mueller, future SAHARA drummer Holger Brandt, and keyboard player Dieter Miekautsch who would later join MISSUS BEASTLY and then EMBRYO

On a melancholic evening in a house in central Tehran, we performed an hour and 15 minutes of improvisation with two synthesizers, the Korg Minilogue and the Korg Opsix. This album is the raw outcome of that session, only lightly edited, with some sections left behind.
Years of friendship and scattered musical experiments finally led us to perform The Mourners Project, live. This sonic experiment carries unspoken words, and now we share it with you. Though we never initially intended to release an album and recorded this session with a simple home setup, the generous collaboration of our dear friend Delaram Raad helped us achieve a relatively polished mix and master.
Still, as its a homemade project that includes melodic lines with low frequencies, listening on a high-quality sound system might better do it justice.
This is a continuous live session—no pauses, no overdubs. The tracks are merely cut from the whole. We invite you to experience it start to finish. A shared journey through electric grief

Henk van der Hoff in a review of this album (Pallas) says: First band that comes to mind when I listen to this charming release by Spanish Snowdonia is Brazilian Bacamarte with their highly awarded gem Depois do Fim. And that is due to two reasons. The resembling female vocals and the equal way they handle the instruments: fast!

The Malgaard Suite is something of a “lost epic” from Comus: it shows what the band might have done if the follow-up to First Utterance had gone ahead as initially conceived.
Because of the poor audio quality, many listeners treat it more as a document / artifact rather than a polished work — the interest lies in hearing the ambition and intensity, rather than expecting studio-quality sound.

Jazz-rock band IZVIR (Eng. "source" or "spring") was formed in Ljubljana (Slovenia, ex-Yugoslavia) back around 1971, although not under that name, and was active until 1978. In this period they released two singles and the eponymous LP album, which today rank as highly valued collectors' items and are rare to find.

According to chrismass61 from RYM, This album (Planet End 1975) is made of tracks left from 1970 "Spaces" sessions and 1974 "Introducing Larry Coryell and the Eleventh House" sessions. That is why we have two tracks with Eleventh House, two with McLaughlin, Miroslav Vitous and Billy Cobham, and one solo.
Coryell is one of these guitar virtuosos who never knew where to go exactly. He did Jazz Rock, acoustic, various Fusion albums, always without real personality.

Later that evening, only a feeling
But it was there in the air that we share in the twilight
Humming a sad song, where was our day gone
But in the dark was a spark, a remark I remember
"Try again", she replied to some story I told
"Try again", yes I will if I can
Oh, all I need is somebody to hold
Learning a feeling, seeking a meaning
Finding a way, should she stay, how to say let's imagine
Maybe I'll go wrong, and it may not last long
But in the night all the light must be right for this moment
"Try again", she replied to some story I told
"Try again", yes I will if I can
Oh, all I need is somebody to hold
"Try again", she replied to some story I told
"Try again", yes I will if I can
Oh, all I need is somebody to hold
"Try again", she replied to some story I told
"Try again", yes I will if I can
Oh, all I need is somebody to hold
