VICTORY AND POWER THROUGH OUR HANDS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed (Exodus 17:11).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━━
In the next few days, I'll be explaining certain mysteries, which you can practise and have amazing results as shown to us in the Scriptures. These mysteries are imperceptible to the human mind, but they're things we learn from studying the Word. For example, Exodus 17:8-16 tells a beautiful story that shows one of such powerful mysteries. The Amalekites attacked the Israelites at Rephidim. Moses then instructed Joshua to lead the people in battle while he stood on a hill with the staff of God in his hand.

Then the Bible says, "And it came to pass, when Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed" (Exodus 17:11). Aaron and Hur noticed that there was a connection between the lifting of Moses' hands and the victory in the battle. So, when Moses' hands grew tired, they brought a stone for him to sit on and held up his hands, one on either side, ensuring that his hands remained raised until they vanquished Amalek by sunset.

God then told Moses, "...Write this for a memorial in a book, and rehearse it in the ears of Joshua: for I will utterly put out the remembrance of Amalek from under heaven" (Exodus 17:14). This made Joshua to understand how the battle was really won. The secret was in the spirit: the lifting up of Moses' hands.

There's victory and power through your hands. The psalmist said in Psalm 141:2, "Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice." Also, the apostle Paul said, "I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands..." (1 Timothy 2:8). Practise this and you'll see greater successes and profound victories in your life, in your finances, health, job, ministry and everything that concerns you. Even now, lift your hands to the Lord; it's a strategy of the Spirit for your continual victory and life of ever-increasing glory. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, I lift up my hands in faith to you who always leads me in perpetual victory parade in Christ. My raised hands are as the evening sacrifice. I'm victorious and triumphant over the adversary; no opposition can prevail against me, and every challenge crumbles before me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

YOU RECEIVED SOMETHING WHEN YOU BELIEVED
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life (John 3:16)

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━━
The most beautiful part of the Gospel is not only that Jesus bore our sins and sacrificed Himself for us, but that He gave us something in return—eternal life. One of the most well-known verses in the Bible is John 3:16 and it says, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

This means anyone who believes in Jesus Christ receives eternal life. It’s a guarantee! The moment you believe in Jesus, you have it. You don’t have to wait for it or hope for it; you have it immediately. John 6:47 says, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” It’s not a promise of something to come in the future. If you believe, you already have it!

Often, I ask people, "Do you believe in Jesus?" and some would say yes. Then I’d say, "Did you receive anything when you believed?"* I found that most weren’t sure. They weren’t taught that something extraordinary happened as a result of their believing in Jesus. The Master was clear: ..He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.”

1 John 5:11-12 says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.”* Notice the tenses: if you have Jesus Christ, you have eternal life. So, don’t pray for eternal life. The 13th verse is absolutely remarkable; it says, “These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life... (1 John 5:13).

God wants you to know that you have eternal life. This knowledge changes everything. When you know that you have eternal life, it impacts the way you live. You no longer live in fear or uncertainty but in confidence and victory. Hallelujah!

P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ. I walk in the consciousness of this life, living boldly and confidently, knowing that I am secure in Christ. Thank you for this precious gift that changes lives and empowers men to live in victory, prosperity and health every day, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FURTHER STUDY:
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
1 John 5:11-13 NIV; And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
12. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life.
13. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life.

John 3:36 NKJV; He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.”

John 5:24; Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

STAY IN THE WORD
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise;) That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth (Ephesians 6:1-3).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Someone asked the question: "How powerful are curses or blessings spoken by parents over their children?" Such curses or blessings, according to the Bible, have impactful implications; they could be quite powerful. When you study the Bible, you'd find blessings by parents and curses by parents and how they came to pass.

Being born again, it's important to understand that we're called into a life of blessings by God. We were called to inherit a blessing (1 Peter 3:9). If, however, you had a problem with your parents before you were born again and they pronounced a curse on you, now that you're born again, that curse will no longer have any effect. You should nevertheless go and reconcile with them. That's important. If reconciliation is impossible or difficult, consult your pastor. Your pastor can counsel you and guide you on what to do next.

If you were already born again and then your parent cursed you, generally, that curse will not work. However, if your actions were contrary to the Word of God, you could face real trouble. This is because being outside the Word of God places you in a vulnerable position where such a curse could have an effect on you. Remember the lsraelites in Egypt: when the death angel was to come into Egypt, God instructed them to mark their doorposts with blood. This marked them out from the Egyptians, protecting them from harm.

Similarly, staying within the Word of God and functioning according to God's principles keeps you protected. If you live outside the Word, you open yourself to potential danger; you break the hedge as it were. And the Bible says, ..whoso breaketh an hedge, a serpent shall bite him" (Ecclesiastes 10:8).

God wants us to live in peace, for He has called us to peace, especially with our parents. The Bible teaches us to honour our parents as stated in Ephesians 6:1-3, which is a quote from Exodus 20:12 and Deuteronomy 5:16. This commandment comes with a promise: that it may be well with you and that you may live long on the earth. Christian parents should also never curse their children but bless them.

P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I choose to live in the light of your Word, honouring my parents and those you've placed in my path as leaders and walking in peace and in the blessings that come from doing your Word, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Colossians 3:20; Children, obey [your] parents in all things: for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.

Exodus 20:12; Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

Deuteronomy 5:16; Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.

1 Peter 3:8-9; Finally, [be ye] all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, [be] pitiful, [be] courteous:
9 Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.

THE FULL PICTURE OF THE GOSPEL MANDATE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen (Mark 16:20).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━━
When you study the Synoptic Gospels—Matthew, Mark and Luke—you'd observe different perspectives to the Lord's instruction with respect to the preaching of the Gospel. However, one theme stands out: The Gospel is to be preached to every man, woman, boy and girl; it's for all nations.

Mark gives us a clear structure for our mission as read in our opening scripture. The disciples went forth and preached everywhere; they did their part, and the Lord did His part by confirming the Word they preached with signs. This makes our responsibility clear: We preach the Word, and it's the Lord's responsibility to confirm it with signs following.

In Luke 24:46-47, we see another significant aspect of the Master's instructions. Luke, who had a deep understanding of the events surrounding Jesus' ministry, adds a crucial point about the content of the Gospel that we're to preach: repentance and remission of sins, "...Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day: And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem."

While Matthew emphasized teaching all that Jesus commanded (Matthew 28:19-20), and Mark focused on preaching the Gospel which the Lord confirms with signs (Mark 16:19-20), Luke gave us the full picture. The Lord's message was not just to teach or preach but to declare repentance and remission of sins among all nations.

The early disciples initially kept the message within the Jewish community. They may have thought the Gospel was only for the Jews scattered among the nations, or perhaps they misunderstood the global scope of the Lord's command. But the Gospel was always meant for all nations, for every creature (Mark 16:15). This revelation became clear through discussions like those recorded in Acts 15, where they finally embraced the full scope of the Lord's mission.

Today, we carry that same mission, teaching all that Jesus commanded, preaching the Gospel to every creature and to all nations, declaring repentance and the remission of sins in His Name. And the Lord continues to work with us, confirming His Word with signs following. Praise God!

Acts 1:8; But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Matthew 28:18-20; And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, [even] unto the end of the world. Amen.

Acts 15:7-9; And when there had been much disputing, Peter rose up, and said unto them, Men [and] brethren, ye know how that a good while ago God made choice among us, that the Gentiles by my mouth should hear the word of the gospel, and believe.
8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as [he did] unto us;
9 And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

FORGIVENESS IS IN THE PACKAGE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom ye slew and hanged on a tree. Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins (Acts 5:30-31).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━━
What we just read brings to mind the words of the Lord Jesus when He appeared to Saul of Tarsus. He told him He was sending him to the Gentiles, "To open their eyes...that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me" (Acts 26:18).

Notice the emphasis in the latter part on receiving forgiveness of sins, not asking for it. You're to "take" forgiveness of sins. Read that latter part again and see the connection between receiving forgiveness of sins and our inheritance; they're both under the same Greek word "Lambano."

The same way you receive an inheritance is how you receive forgiveness. Just as it's pointless to ask for your inheritance again and again, for the Bible says in Him (Christ Jesus) we have obtained an inheritance (Ephesians 1:11), it's superfluous to keep asking God for forgiveness. That's because in the Gospel of Jesus Christ, forgiveness is in the package; you receive it and make it yours.

Read 1 John 1:9 and notice that it doesn't say, "ask for forgiveness"; rather, it says to acknowledge your sins. Why? It's because He's already provided for your forgiveness. What He wants you to do is to obtain forgiveness; receive it.

It's important that we teach people the accurate Word of God. If Satan can keep you asking for forgiveness again and again and you aren't sure whether or not you're being forgiven, he will make you ineffective in your Christian life and unable to do the things that God has called you to do. Your faith will be weak. The Father knows this, and that's the reason He provided for your forgiveness.

If you did something wrong in your life and you are thinking about what to do, stop asking and trying to wait to know whether or not God has forgiven you; receive ("lambano"—Greek) forgiveness; take it! You say, "Father, I acknowledge that this thing I did is wrong, and I receive forgiveness in the Name of Jesus." That puts the responsibility on you not on God. It's no longer a question of whether or not God has forgiven you; rather, it's about whether you have received what He already made available to you. Forgiveness is part of that Gospel package. Hallelujah!

            🙏  PRAYER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I rejoice in the inheritance I have obtained in Christ, knowing that forgiveness is part of the Gospel package. I walk in the freedom and victory you've provided, empowered to live a life that glorifies you. I live an effective Christian life, knowing that I've been justified by faith. Now, I walk in righteousness and produce fruits of righteousness, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

IGNITE THE "FIRE" BY MEDITATING ON THE WORD
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: then spake I with my tongue (Psalm 39:3).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The psalmist in the verse above said, "While I was musing, the fire burned"; that tells us something powerful about meditation: it causes the spiritual fire to burn; it fuels your inspiration. What are your expectations, plans, targets, goals and aims for the incoming year? You can put yourself on the right track and fuel your inspiration by taking time to meditate on the Word.

Jeremiah, like the psalmist, in Jeremiah 20:9, decided not to speak any more about God, but the fire within him—God's Word in his heart—burned so intensely that he couldn't hold back: "Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his name. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay." Jeremiah 5:14 says, "Wherefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, Because ye speak this word, behold, I will make my words in thy mouth fire, and this people wood, and it shall devour them." Also, in Jeremiah 23:29, the Bible says, "Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?"

God's Word is described as fire and a hammer that breaks rocks into pieces. You're already filled with the Holy Spirit; therefore, the fire of God is in your spirit. But to ignite the fire, you must meditate on the Word. When the Word is in your heart as a burning fire, you cannot keep quiet; you'll always maintain inspiration.

We just read from two prophets, David and Jeremiah, who knew how to burn for God, and they shared their secret: meditating on God's Word. It emboldens you to speak the Word with passion and conviction. So, as you pray and fast in preparation for the coming year, make sure you consciously meditate on God's Word.

Pray fervently in tongues, and meditate on the Word until you get to the point where you release this "fire" from within you and enforce the victory the Lord Jesus Christ has wrought in your behalf.

             🙏 P R A Y E R

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I thank you for your Word, which burns in my heart, inspiring me to boldly declare your truth and purpose for my life, and to enforce your will in the earth and in the lives of men, all over the world, as I manifest and express your glory in every area of my life, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

1 Timothy 4:15; Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all.

Joshua 1:8 AMPC; This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

Jeremiah 20:9 NIV; But if I say, "I will not mention his word or speak anymore in his name," his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.

ACCEPT WHAT CHRIST HAS DONE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Who was betrayed and put to death because of our misdeeds and was raised to secure our justification (our acquittal), [making our account balance and absolving us from all guilt before God] (Romans 4:25 AMPC).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
When we say "Jesus died for the whole world," it's a generic expression indicating that He died for all humanity. So, in that generic sense, Jesus was condemned in our place. He was judged for all of us. But when you believe in Him, two significant things happen. First, your acceptance and acknowledgement that His vicarious sacrifice was in your behalf makes it possible for you to receive eternal life.

Receiving eternal life means you're born again; you're now a brand new person, without a past: "...if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). Then, now that you're a new creature in Christ Jesus, it's essential to understand that in the actual sense, Jesus didn't die for the sins of this new man in Christ because the new life you received upon the New Birth is the God-life; it's not tainted with sin.

The new man in Christ was created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24). Colossians 3:10 says you "...have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him." This realization leads to the understanding of why you're justified. The Bible says, "Jesus Christ was delivered up on account of our transgressions but He was raised for our justification" (Romans 4:25).

Now, being justified, you're at peace with God and have become the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Those who don't understand this truth struggle daily, "trying" to be righteous and to please God. But the key is to simply accept the truth of what Jesus Christ has done and live by it.

            🙏  PRAYER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of my brand-new life in Christ. I celebrate the truth that I am a new creation in Him, with old things completely passed away. I fully embrace my new identity and live in the fullness of eternal life that you have imparted to me. I declare that I am justified and empowered to live righteously, free from any past struggles, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

           📖 FURTHER STUDY:
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Galatians 2:20-21; I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness [come] by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.

Romans 5:12-17; Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
13 (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
15 But not as the offence, so also [is] the free gift. For if through the offence of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, [which is] by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many.
16 And not as [it was] by one that sinned, [so is] the gift: for the judgment [was] by one to condemnation, but the free gift [is] of many offences unto justification.
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)

2 Corinthians 5:17; Therefore if any man [be] in Christ, [he is] a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

FRIDAY 27

JESUS—THE FULLNESS OF DEITY IN BODILY FORM
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell (Colossians 1:19).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit are eternally existent and manifested in Jesus. Each person of the Trinity has a distinct personality. Yet, Jesus is the bodily manifestation of the Godhead; He encompasses the fullness of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Colossians 1:19 says, "For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell." Colossians 2:9 further emphasizes this; it says, "For in him (Jesus Christ) dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily."

This means the fullness of deity, the fullness of the Godhead, resides in Jesus in bodily form. If you want to find the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit in one body, it's in Jesus. Hebrews 1:1-3 lends further credence to this; it says, "God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person...."

In other words, Jesus is the exact replica or representation of God the Father. Jesus Himself said in John 14:10, "The Father is in me, and I am in the Father." This reinforces the idea that Jesus is the manifestation of the Father. When you see Jesus, you see the Father; He embodies the character and essence of the Father: "...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father..." (John 14:9).

1 Timothy 3:16 encapsulates it beautifully: "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory." Observe that it says "seen of angels." The angels, who had never seen God the Father's form, saw Him for the first time when Jesus came. He made the invisible God visible even to the heavenly beings, demonstrating the profound mystery and majesty of the Trinity. Praise God!

               🙏 PRAYER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I thank you for the revelation of Jesus, who He is—the bodily manifestation of the Godhead. In Him dwells all the fullness of the divine perfection, powers and attributes of deity, the outward expression of the invisible God. He's the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings and great God, our Saviour Jesus Christ. Amen.

         📖 FURTHER STUDY:
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Colossians 2:9 AMPC; For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature].

Hebrews 1:3 NIV; The Son is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

John 14:5-11; Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?
6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
7 If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.
8 Philip saith unto him, Lord, shew us the Father, and it sufficeth us.
9 Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou [then], Shew us the Father?
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.
11 Believe me that I [am] in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake.

TREAT PEOPLE WELL
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another (Romans 12:10).

Pastor Chris says
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Did you know that what you give to others—the treatment you mete out to them—is actually unto God? That's what the Bible says: "If you help the poor, you are lending to the LORD—and he will repay you!" (Proverbs 19:17 NLT). So, when you do good things for others, never complain about it; instead, be glad.

Once you complain about the good you're doing, you destroy the effectiveness of it. Remember what the Bible says: do all things without complaining, and by so doing, you show yourself to be a true child of God without fault, manifesting His light in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation (Philippians 2:14-15).

When you're kind and affectionate to others, you don't have to expect anything from them in return, for the Bible says, "of the Lord you shall receive your reward:" "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ" (Colossians 3:23-24).

Everyone who treats people well, turns out to be a success in just a matter of time. Why? Because God treats people well and He's always on the lookout for those who manifest His character. Remember, He so loved us that He sent His Son, Jesus, to die in our place for our salvation (John 3:16). He looks out for those who identify with Him in saving, blessing and loving others so He can manifest His grace and power in and through them.

Therefore, let His love flow out of you effortlessly. Be genuinely interested in people and be willing to help them. Whenever the opportunity presents itself, offer your assistance. Ask, "May I help you?" and when you're through, still ask, "Is there anything else I could do for you?" What if they don't treat you nicely in return? It doesn't matter!

The Bible says, "Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing" (1 Peter 3:9 NIV). Spread love. Spread life. Spread joy! That's what Christmas is about. Let others testify that their lives changed for the better because they met you.

              🙏 PRAYER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for your love that's shed abroad in my heart by the Holy Spirit and which I dispense effortlessly. I spread joy, peace and love everywhere because you've made me a vessel of blessing to my world. Those I meet testify of your goodness, love, grace and blessings they enjoy because of me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. 32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them.
33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same.

SING THE WORD AT CHRISTMAS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord…And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men (Luke 2:11-14).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
Often at Christmas time, there’s a lot of singing; it’s that time of the year when people gleefully sing “Christmas Carols.” Many of these songs, even though popular and have existed for centuries, lack spiritual substance; a lot of them don’t make spiritual sense or have any spiritual meaning.

Take for example songs like “Jingle Bells” or “Dashing Through The Snow”; they’re very popular Christmas songs sung around the world, but they have no spiritual meaning. The fact that they make you happy and lighten your mood doesn’t mean they bless you.

Christmas is about Jesus, and He is the living Word. So, on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or whenever, know the Word, think the Word, and sing the Word. Sing songs that bear consistency with the Scriptures. Whether you're making merry about Christmas or singing in praise to God, let your worship be consistent with God's Word and truth, and you'll be amazed at the transformation this would bring to your life.

You can join us tonight from 8pm GMT+1 for another beautiful opportunity to experience God’s love and the true meaning of Christmas at the “Christmas Eve Service with Pastor Chris.” The colourful and life-changing service will hold in various churches and will be transmitted LIVE on satellite and terrestrial TV stations, and across all the Loveworld networks. It promises to be an exclusive time of fellowship with God’s Word as we sing to His praise and unveil deeper truths about Christmas. For more information, visit www.christembassy.org

Dear Father, my heart is filled with joy and gratitude as I celebrate the birth of Christ with a deeper understanding of who Jesus is and what He came to do. Even now, I receive divine revelations, counsel, direction and guidance from your Spirit as I fellowship with you in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Your purpose is fulfilled in my life, and your glory is revealed in and through me, in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

UNDERSTAND LOVE FROM GOD’S PERSPECTIVE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God (Ephesians 3:19).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
I like the fact that at Christmas time many profess love; they say it’s a season to love one another. But most only assume to know what love is, whereas they really don’t. What most have experienced and understood is tolerance, not love. Tolerance is your ability to bear with others; it’s a good thing, but it shouldn’t be confused as love. That you tolerate people doesn’t mean you love them.

Even the Jews had difficulty understanding love. The Jewish mind was complex, and one of the ways God could get their attention was to give them the golden rule: “Thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:18). He said to them, “Love your neighbour as yourself.” But how could a man love his neighbour as himself when even he isn’t conscious of loving himself?

This wasn’t God's best delineation of love, but He had to work with them from the "outside." So, He said to them, “Do unto others as you want them to do to you" (Matthew 7:12, Luke 6:31). After a while, they began to abuse this. A man could take another’s wife and say, “I don't mind if you do the same to me. Take my rude wife.”

But when Jesus came, He manifested God’s love in a way that was different. He said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). He showed them love from God’s perspective, and not only did He preach this love, He proved it. You can’t show or manifest true love if you don’t know Jesus.

When you hear someone say, “I can’t please you and displease myself,” such a person is quoting from the Old Testament. But Jesus says no; it's not about pleasing yourself; it's about laying down your life for others. It’s about making others happy even at the expense of your own feelings. There's no greater love than this. Your understanding of this will completely change your life and your commitment to Jesus Christ, and to those for whom He died.

🗣 C O N F E S SI O N
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
By the Spirit, I have an understanding of the dimensions of God’s love. I’m filled with the love of Christ, which surpasses all knowledge. I love others as Christ has loved me; my actions are motivated by genuine love, and I serve others with joy and compassion, following the example of the Lord Jesus. Hallelujah!

1 John 4:7-10; Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.
[8] He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
[9] In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.
[10] Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

FRIDAY 20

YOU KNOW HIM
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 You know the way to the place where I am going. Thomas said to him, Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way? (John 14:4-5 NIV).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
The Lord Jesus, just before His crucifixion, had a meeting with His disciples where He told them He would be going away to Heaven. They were saddened by the news, but Jesus comforted them, saying, “...I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going” (John 14:3-4 NIV).

Notice His language: always succinct, always positive. It shows you the Master’s mentality. He said, “You know the way to the place where I am going.” But Thomas, who was thinking in the flesh, said, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way?” Jesus’ response to him was profound. He said, “...I am the way, the truth, and the life…” (John 14:6). What an answer!

Jesus was speaking by the Spirit, and His answer probably made Thomas more confused because Thomas was reasoning in the flesh. Then Jesus said in the next verse, “If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him” (John 14:7).  Remarkable!

Notice that Jesus didn't say, “Okay, Thomas, from henceforth, I'm going to try to introduce the Father to you”; no! Rather, He said, “You know Him.” This is the way He wants you to think. He doesn't want you arguing and declaring your lack of knowledge. Respond in the spirit. The Bible says you have an unction from the Holy One and you know all things (1 John 2:20). Hallelujah!

The Lord has said you know the Father; therefore say, “Yes sir! I know Him.” Blessed be God! When you agree and affirm the Word like that, suddenly, the knowledge of God will well up in your spirit, and you’ll discover the truth. Remember, He is the way, the truth, and the life. What He tells you is truth. If He says you know Him, that's the truth. Moreover, He also said it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the Kingdom (Matthew 13:11, Luke 8:10), and that includes knowing the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. Hallelujah!

DEMONS ARE REAL—CAST THEM OUT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils…(Mark 16:17).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
There’re people who say they don’t believe in the existence of demons, saying that devils or demons only exist in the imagination of certain people. Such folks are ignorant because the Bible tells us that Satan and demons are real. 1 Peter 5:8 says, “…your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

Jesus taught about demons and how they operate, and He cast out demons on several occasions. In fact, the very first sign He said would follow those who believe in Him is what we read in our opening scripture: the ability to cast out demons.

Once, He was teaching in the synagogue and the Bible tells us that a certain woman who was bent double and couldn’t straighten up herself came into the synagogue. The Bible says, “And when Jesus saw her, he called her to him, and said unto her, Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity” (Luke 13:12). In the 11th and 16th verses, it’s clearly stated that the woman’s condition was caused by the devil, and Jesus proved it when He touched her and commanded her to straighten up, and she was restored instantly.

There were also instances where He commanded deaf spirits to come out of people who were deaf and dumb, and they instantly began to hear and speak. Many of us have done the same thing over the years in His Name. We’ve cast out deaf and dumb spirits, and instantly, the people who were afflicted started to hear and to speak. We did exactly what Jesus said to do and what He did. Glory to God!

He told us to cast out demons because they are real and are responsible for many of the troubles and infirmities that people suffer with and that we see around us. So, don’t be deceived by Satan’s incognito; if he can get you to believe he doesn’t exist, then he can mess up your life and mess up things around you. The Bible says we’re not ignorant of his devices (2 Corinthians 2:11). Ephesians 4:27 tells us to give him no place, no foothold.

Satan and his demons may be real, but they’re powerless, defenceless and paralyzed before us. Whenever they show up, cast them out; truncate their activities, manoeuvres and manipulations. You have absolute dominion over them; exercise it.

[11] And behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and was bent over and could in no way raise herself up.

THE WORD IN FLESH
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth (John 1:14).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
In one of our previous studies, I explained to you that Jesus is the Son of God—God in human flesh! The Bible shows us something more about who He is in John 1:1. It says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” The 14th verse says, “…the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us....” But a more accurate rendering is “the Word became flesh”; Jesus Christ is the Word of God become flesh.

It’s easy to accept that Jesus is the living Word, the Word become flesh, but do you know that the same is true about you? The Bible says: “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth forever” (1 Peter 1:23). You were born again by the Word of God, which lives and abides forever.

Think about it: Jesus Christ is the Logos of God, the Word of God, become flesh. Now, that same Word that became flesh gave birth to you. That makes you God's Word in flesh. Paul understood this and called us the epistles of Christ—the words of Christ: “Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart” (2 Corinthians 3:3).

Then he points out something extraordinary in the 18th verse: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord” (2 Corinthians 3:18). He says as you reflect on God’s Word, as you ponder and meditate on it, you see yourself—as the reflection of God’s glory, for you’re the offspring of the Word. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that has given birth to me; now I have and live the life of the Word. I'm influenced and transformed by your Word to live the glory-life. 2 Corinthians 3:2-3; Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:

James 1:18; Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

1 Peter 1:23-25; being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
[24] For All flesh is as grass, And all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

ONLY JESUS CHRIST GIVES ETERNAL LIFE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 ...Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee: As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him (John 17:1-2).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
What confidence Jesus had, to state that God had given Him power over all flesh to give them eternal life. This means Jesus is the One who gives eternal life. If He’s the Lord of your life, you have eternal life in you because He gives eternal life to all those over whom He’s Lord.

You can only know and understand life when you know the source of life, and that’s Jesus Christ. The next verse says, “And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent” (John 17:3). Notice how Jesus classifies Himself here with God because He is Himself God. He didn't say, “that they might know thee, the only true God,” and stop there. He said “and Jesus Christ”; meaning you’ve got to know God and you’ve got to know Jesus Christ. You can't have one without the other.

Jesus is eternal life; that’s the reason He can give it. So, if you don't know Him, you can’t know life. The Bible says, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord” (Romans 6:23). Again, we see that God gives eternal life through Jesus Christ.

This truth gets even clearer in 1 John 5:11-12, which says, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” He says, “…this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life….” Observe the tenses. It doesn’t say if you have the Son, God will give you life. Rather, it says, “If you have the Son, you have life.” That’s the same thing Jesus said in John 6:47: “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life.” Glory to His Name forever!

WE'RE HEAVENLY BEINGS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven (1 Corinthians 15:47).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━
Part of what we observed from our previous study is that if you have Christ, you have eternal life, and if you don't have Christ, you don't have eternal life. It's as simple as that. Without Him, you're still living in the state of the first Adam, 100% human, earthly, and of this world. The Bible paints a clear picture of this reality in 1 Corinthians 15:47: "The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven."

The first Adam represents humanity's earthly nature, the fallen state that began with him. This nature is limited, bound by the world, and destined for destruction. That's a painful truth to acknowledge, but it's what the Bible says. Those who aren't born again are doomed to judgement and destruction. They may be your family members, friends, or leaders in society, but without Christ, they are earthy, and reserved for judgement; hence we must preach the Gospel to them as the only means of salvation.

Read 1 Corinthians 15:48 (AMPC) and see the powerful contrast between the earthy and the heavenly: "Now those who are made of the dust are like him who was first made of the dust (earthly-minded); and as is [the Man] from heaven, so also [are those] who are of heaven (heavenly-minded)." Those who are not born again (the earthy) are earthly-minded, but those who are born again in Christ are heavenly-minded. This doesn't mean we are simply thinking about going to heaven; it means that we operate with the mindset and principles of heaven here on earth.

Heavenly-mindedness means living and thinking in alignment with how things are done in heaven, following God's will, operating by His principles and thinking His thoughts. That's the transformation that takes place when you're born again. Verse 49 (AMPC) continues: "And just as we have borne the image [of the man] of dust, so shall we and so let us also bear the image [of the Man] of heaven." We once bore the image of the man of dust, earthly, fallen and bound to the limitations of this world. But now, as new creations, we bear the image of the Man from heaven: Jesus Christ!

We are no longer earthy but heavenly. We live in this world, but we are not of this world (John 17:16). You're a heavenly man or woman, a heavenly being, living by the thoughts, principles and ways of God's Kingdom. Hallelujah!

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I refuse to be limited by the earthly system, for I bear the image of Christ, the Man from heaven, and I'm aligned with your will and your ways as it is in the Word. Thank you for my life in Christ. I walk in victory, being heavenly-minded and empowered by your Spirit, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Colossians 3:1-2: If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2 Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

1 Corinthians 15:47-49 AMPC; The first man [was] from out of earth, made of dust (earthly-minded); the second Man [is] the Lord from out of heaven.
48 Now those who are made of the dust are like him who was first made of the dust (earthly-minded); and as is [the Man] from heaven, so also [are those] who are of heaven (heavenly-minded).
49. And just as we have borne the image [of the man] of dust, so shall we and so let us also bear the image [of the Man] of heaven.

HIS SACRIFICIAL LOVE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends (John 15:13).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━
Our opening scripture brings to mind the words of the Spirit through the apostle Paul in Romans 5:8: _"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."Think about such sacrificial love. He was condemned in our place. No wonder the Bible says, _There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus..." (Romans 8:1).

The word translated "condemnation" also means "judgment"; Jesus Christ was judged for us. 2 Corinthians 5:19 (NIV) says, ...God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them..._ Did you notice that? God isn't counting men's sins against them because He laid their sins on Jesus. Jesus became the sin-bearer.

1 Peter 2:24 further makes it clearer; it says, _"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness.... It's the reason when we pray for sinners, we pray that they'll come to terms with the revelation that God has given: Christ bore their sins and they don't need to live in sin anymore. Hallelujah!

2 Corinthians 5:14 says, "For the love of Christ constraineth us; because we thus judge, that if one died for all, then were all dead." This is absolutely legal and logical: He died for everybody; therefore, everybody died. Verse 15 says, _And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again." Don't live unto yourself but unto Him. This is the right response to His sacrificial love. Hallelujah!

GET BUSY FOR THE LORD

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord… (James 5:7).

This year is a very special year, and one of the things you should schedule to do every day is talk to people about Jesus; preach the Gospel with much passion. The urgency of the moment demands it. The Lord is coming soon. When we talk about the coming of the Lord, which is the second advent of the Lord, in-between is another very important event, which is the catching away of the Church; it’s called the Rapture of the Church.

The Rapture is the event described in the Bible where the dead in Christ shall rise, and we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them and taken out of this world to meet the Lord in the air. This event— the Rapture of the Church—is very near; therefore, the Bible says, “Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be...” (2 Peter 3:11).

Your manner of life has to reflect and show that you’re waiting for your Lord’s return. Mark 13:35-36 says, “Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.” Don’t let Him come back and find you sleeping or doing nothing. You should be busy for the Lord.

So, today, what are you doing for the Lord? It’s a very important question to ponder. Are you busy for Him, or are you busy for yourself, your company, or your earthly family? What are you doing for the Lord? Somebody once said, “A service to man is a service to the Lord.” That's not entirely true.

The service to man that is the service to God is the service to man that God asked you to do, not just any service to man. So, live unto Him as the Bible says: “And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again” (2 Corinthians 5:15). 1 Corinthians 15:58, “Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

🗣 C O N F E S S I O N
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I live each day with a consciousness of the Lord’s soon return, staying diligent in the work He’s called me to do, winning souls and sponsoring the Gospel. I’m strengthened to live according to God’s Word, bearing fruits that glorify Him, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

           FREEDOM FROM SIN

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The word confess in the verse above is translated from the Greek "Homologeo." It's a verb, which means to make declaration. But in the context of our opening verse, it means to acknowledge. If we acknowledge our sins, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Let's also read Romans 3:24-26; it talks about God's righteousness and the forgiveness of sin: "Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness, for the remission of sins that are past...that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." God is righteous, and in His righteousness, He puts away man's sins and justifies him.

Can you imagine that? It doesn't say God justifies the one who confesses his sins and asks for forgiveness. He's not so much after you getting forgiveness as He is after the real reason for forgiveness. Forgiveness is from the Greek word "Aphiemi" and it means freedom. The Father's focus is freedom from sin.

Already, you're the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. You're the expression of His righteousness. Acts 13:38-39 tells us something remarkable; it says, "Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man (Jesus) is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins. And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses." Justified means to declare not guilty, acquitted, free—freedom from sin.

When we say freedom from sin, we're not talking about freedom from the bondage of sin but freedom from sinning. Freedom from the bondage of sin refers to Satan's dominion, which has been broken. But freedom from sin means the ability and possibility to live righteously and not to do wrong. Is that possible?

Emphatically yes! It's what Jesus came to do; otherwise, it means His purpose wasn't accomplished. But thanks be unto God; He fulfilled His purpose. He was made sin so that we might be made the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Now sin shall not have dominion over you (Romans 6:14). We'll learn more in our next study.

Dear Father, I thank you for the freedom from sin that I have through Jesus Christ. I acknowledge that through His sacrifice, I am justified, cleansed, and sin-free. I walk in righteousness and manifest your glory in all that I do, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Romans 6:12-14; Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
13 Neither yield ye your members [as] instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members [as] instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

CHRISTMAS: THE CELEBRATION OF CHRIST IN YOU
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
For some people, Christmas is all about food and family. So, on Christmas day, they make sure to get around family, eat, feast and be merry. But beyond the merry-making, Christmas is about Christ: who He is, what He came to do, and the fact that He actually accomplished His purpose. Had He not accomplished His purpose, life would have been empty.

He came, lived, died, and came back to life that you might live. He said in John 10:10 (AMPC), “…I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” 1 John 3:8 says, “…For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.” This same Jesus is coming again, and it's time to serve Him truly; it's time to know Him for sure.

Titus 2:13 tells us something beautiful about who He is—He’s the great God and our Saviour: “Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ." Did you see that? Jesus is God. When He was born among us, He was called “Emmanuel,” God with us.

In Colossians 1:19, the Bible says, the fullness of Deity resides in Him. The totality of divinity dwells in Jesus Christ: “For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily” (Colossians 2:9). Jesus Christ is the body of God; everything that God is, is in Jesus.

But here’s the most inspiring part: this Jesus, the great God and our Saviour, isn’t just with you today but in you. That’s what we read in our opening scripture: Christ in you the hope of glory. This is the actual meaning of Christmas. Christmas is the celebration of Christ in you. You haven't known what Christmas is and how to celebrate Christmas until you have the understanding that Christ literally dwells in the quarters of your heart.

The real celebration begins when you arrive at God's revelation for Christmas, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. This was God's plan from the beginning; this was what He always wanted—that we be filled or replete with all the fullness of God, just as Jesus was.

🗣 C O N F E S S I O N

I rejoice in the divine truth that Jesus is the great God and our Saviour who has extricated humanity from death, hell and shame and brought life and immortality to light. I celebrate my oneness with Christ and His divine life in me, which means victory, strength, triumph, glory and dominion over sin, and the powers of darkness. Amen.

PROGENIES OF THE KINGDOM
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 The law and the prophets were until John. Since that time the kingdom of God has been preached, and everyone is pressing into it (Luke 16:16 NKJV).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
The Kingdom of God is a real Kingdom, howbeit, a spiritual one, and being born again, we’re progenies of the Kingdom. The Kingdom of God includes everything under God’s dominion, both on earth and in Heaven. But there’s also the Kingdom of Heaven, which is the earthly manifestation of the Kingdom of God, set up by Jesus.

So, when Jesus came and said, "The Kingdom of God is at hand" (Matthew 3:2, Mark 1:15), He was referring to the Kingdom of Heaven that He had come to establish or set up in the earth. This is the Kingdom that Jesus began to preach and to make known, something others couldn’t do because they hadn’t entered it themselves—it was promised to them.

But Jesus preached it and then brought us into it through the New Birth. Hallelujah! Colossians 1:12-13 says, “Giving thanks unto the Father… Who hath… translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son.”

So, today, the same Kingdom that Jesus Himself preached is what He’s commissioned us to preach to the ends of the earth: “And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God…” (Luke 9:2). But one day, very soon, this Kingdom, which is in the spirit realm right now, will manifest in this world and take over this world.

Intensify your efforts and stop at nothing in ensuring the good news of the Kingdom spreads to the ends of the earth; win more souls into the Kingdom. The Lord Jesus, referring to being born again, said in John 3:5, “…Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”

It’s our responsibility to preach the Gospel of the Kingdom so that every man, woman, boy and girl on the face of the earth might hear, believe and be brought into the Kingdom. Remember the words of the Master in Matthew 24:14, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Blessed be God!

ETERNAL LIFE DEFINED
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:15).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
Imagine preaching the Gospel to someone and the person asks you, “What is eternal life?” What will you say? I'll give you two simple statements that’ll help you understand what it is. The first one is that eternal life is the life and nature of God. This in itself isn’t a definition but an expression that describes what kind of life it is. Eternal life is a life that's different from other kinds of life; it’s the life and nature of God.

As a definition, eternal life is the organic and existential attributes of deity. Why is this important? It’s because all over the world, people talk about different gods. There’re so many deities in different cultures represented in so many ways. But none of them has eternal life.

Eternal life is the life that Jesus, in Scripture, declared the Father has, which essentially distinguishes Him from all others that may be called gods: "For as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself" (John 5:26). The Bible declares, “… And now we are in God because we are in Jesus Christ his Son, who is the only true God; and he is eternal Life” (1 John 5:20 TLB). Jesus Christ is God! In Him, we find and can relate with the organic and existential attributes of deity.

When He walked the earth, He was life encapsulated in a human body and manifested to us: “For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us” (1 John 1:2).

This eternal life is what He brought to the world (John 10:10). This is the message of the Kingdom of God: that Jesus Christ offers eternal life freely. That’s why it’s called Gospel; you don't have to pay anything for it.

🗣 C O N F E S S I O N
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I rejoice in knowing that I have the life and nature of God in me—the organic and existential attributes of deity. This divine life sets me apart and empowers me to live victoriously. I walk in the consciousness of this incorruptible, impregnable and invincible life in me, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

📖 FURTHER STUDY :
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
John 17:3; And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

1 John 5:11-13; And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
[12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
[13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

1 John 5:20; And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.

THE MESSAGE OF CHRIST
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men: Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart (2 Corinthians 3:2-3).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
What's an epistle? It’s a letter or written message. So, when Paul said, “Ye are our epistle…,” he was saying, “You’re our message, known and read of all men.” Jesus Christ was the message of God. He was the Word of God—God’s message—sent to the world to be read of all men. He was manifested in the flesh. When men encountered Jesus in Bible days, they encountered the Word of God. When He spoke, it was the Word speaking.

When He acted, it was God's Word in action. When He healed, it was God's Word performing the miracles. Everything He did was the manifestation of the Word of God in flesh. Therefore, He was manifestly declared to be the Word of God in the flesh.

Now, referring to us, Paul says exactly the same thing: “Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us…” (2 Corinthians 3:3). Did you see that? You are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ the same way Jesus was manifestly declared to be the Word of God in the flesh. This means you’re the message of Christ, and being the message of Christ means you’re the message of God.

If you are the epistle of Christ, then you’re the epistle of God. If you are the word of Christ, then you’re the Word of God. Knowing this amazing truth, how are you going to live your life? That’s why God has given us His written Word so we can learn His language and talk His language. The necessary result of that is an outflow of the God-life through you. That’ll be your experience every day. There’ll be no defeat in your life. Irrespective of who your adversaries are or the circumstances in which you find yourself, you’ll be an absolute victor. Glory to God!

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for making me the epistle of Christ, your living message to the world. I acknowledge that I'm your Word in the flesh, manifesting your glory, grace and truth. As I study the Word meditatively and speak it forth, I experience an outflow of the God-life, living in absolute victory and dominion in Christ Jesus. Amen.

2 Corinthians 3:2-3 NKJV; You are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read by all men;

ONENESS WITH HIM
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
When the Bible says “Christ in you,” what does it mean? “Christ in you” means Christ literally dwells in you. You’re His house; He lives in you, walks in you, and talks through you through the Holy Spirit.

The Bible says, “For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones” (Ephesians 5:30). You’re His feet, and you’re His hands. You’re the limbs of Christ: “Know ye not that your bodies are the members of Christ...” (1 Corinthians 6:15). As a Christian, you’re inseparably one with Christ; you’re fused as one with Him. Remember His words in John 14:20, “…I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.” Hallelujah!

In 2 Corinthians 3:5, Paul wrote about his experience of the Gospel as inspired by the Holy Spirit. He said, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God.” Here was a man writing about his life, and he says, “My sufficiency is of God.” The same is true about you.

In his letter to the Philippians, he said, “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me” (Philippians 4:13). How could he have such a mentality? It's because he understood the meaning of “Christ in you.” He knew he was no longer ordinary; he had become one with Christ, which means oneness with deity. The Word declares in 1 Corinthians 6:17, “But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.”

You’re one with the Lord; therefore, every so often, boldly declare: “My sufficiency is of God!” That means the ability of God is working in and through you; that’s the reason you’re invincible, ever prosperous, fruitful and productive. Glory to God!

🗣 C O N F E S S I O N
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Christ dwells in me, and I in Him. I’m inseparably one with Him, a member of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. I walk in the consciousness of this divine reality today and always in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

WE LIVE TO PRAISE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 Rejoice in the LORD, O ye righteous: for praise is comely for the upright (Psalm 33:1).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
The Bible says, “Praise is comely for the upright.” This is wonderful. It means that praise is consistent with, or befitting to, the custom of our Kingdom. We live to praise. No wonder the Bible says, “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you” (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Now, “Praise is comely” also means that praise is beautiful. The New King James Version says, “Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous! For praise from the upright is beautiful.” In fact, The Passion Translation says, “... Praise him with all you have, for praise looks lovely on the lips of God’s lovers.”

This means that God loves to receive our praise. When we praise Him, we actually position ourselves where we ought to be as a people of praise: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light” (1 Peter 2:9). We’re called to show forth His praise.

The meaning of praise according to the Scriptures is the offering of thanks through our lips: “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Hebrews 13:15). That means we see His goodness in the things that happen in and around us, and in our world, and for that we praise Him lavishly.

God intended that our whole life would be full of praise. You were created for His praise. When we express our praise to Him, sometimes it’s with deep emotions, and at other times it’s with an effulgence of joy that others may not see. But God sees it all; we do these in the light of the Spirit and in the place of His holiness. In such an atmosphere of praise, you’re conscious of His love because in His presence is fullness of joy, and at His right hand are pleasures evermore (Psalm 16:11). Hallelujah!

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Heavenly Father, I worship and adore you for your great love, your faithfulness, kindness and tender mercies. How gracious you are, for you’ve filled the earth with your goodness; you’ve blessed the nations and their peoples, causing your grace for salvation to appear unto all. Unto you be honour and everlasting power and dominion, forever, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Hebrews 13:15; By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

FRIDAY 13

USE HIS AUTHORITY, PRAYING IN HIS NAME
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

📖 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind (Colossians 2:18).

Pastor Chris Says
━━━━━━━━━━
In Christianity, we don't worship angels, neither do we ask angels to pray for us. No matter how much you call on them to pray for you, they won’t pray for you because they can't pray for you. Jesus told us how to pray; He said, “…Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you” (John 16:23). We pray to the Father in the Name of Jesus.

We’re the only ones with the right, privilege and blessing to use His Name in prayer. We don’t even ask Jesus to pray to the Father for us. Jesus said, “At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: for the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God” (John 16:26-27). So, we don't say, “Lord Jesus, please talk to the Father for me.” No; the Father Himself loves us, so we talk to Him directly.

I’ve always pointed out the difference between praying to God through Jesus Christ and praying to God in the Name of Jesus. They're not the same. Praying to God in the Name of Jesus is what Jesus told us to do. Praying to God through Jesus Christ is making Jesus a medium, and after you're born again, He's not a medium to you. He's a medium to God only for the sinner.

Remember what He said: “...I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). But when you come by Him to the Father, you don't need a medium anymore because you’re now in the presence of the Father. Praying in the Name of Jesus is a matter of authority. It means you’re using His authority.

Why do you use His authority? Because He saved you, and He owns everything. His Name is on all creation; everything was created in His Name. Everything belongs to Him. The Father put the Name of Jesus as the stamp on all of His creation: “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him” (Colossians 1:15-16). Therefore, everything listens to Jesus (Matthew 17:5). Everything! So, use His Name today with boldness.

Dear Father, I thank you for the authority you've given me to use the Name of Jesus in prayer. I exercise this authority with boldness, knowing that I have direct access to you and that all creation listens to me as they listen to Jesus. I walk in health, dominion, strength, victory, peace and the abundant life, because I live in the Name of Jesus. Hallelujah!

📖 FURTHER STUDY :
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
John 14:13-14; And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
[14] If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.

Philippians 2:9-11; Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
[10] that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
[11] and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Colossians 2:18 NIV; Do not let anyone who delights in false humility and the worship of angels disqualify you. Such a person also goes into great detail about what they have seen; they are puffed up with idle notions by their unspiritual mind.
