FILLED WITH THE TOTALITY OF THE DIVINE ESSENCE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:19).

To be filled with the fullness of God means to be filled with the totality of the divine essence, His very being. Colossians 1:27 says, “...Christ in you, the hope of glory”; this is what it means. It leaves no room for ambiguity; we’re replete with God. We’re associates of the God-kind, not when we get to heaven but here and now in the earth, in this life.

Imagine being so full of God—His power, wisdom, and glory—that fear has no place in you. This is why we, as Christians, are bold. We cannot accommodate fear because we are loaded with the fullness of God. The Greek word for filled is “Plēroō”, and it means the full or maximum load. That means we’re completely saturated with the maximum load of God.

Jesus exemplified this. He declared, “...as the Father hath life in himself; so hath he given to the Son to have life in himself” (John 5:26). Jesus was the divine essence, filled with God. God’s plan is for the Church to reach this same level of understanding and expression. We, as the Body of Christ, must attain this consciousness, walking in the fullness of God. The Lord will rapture the Church in this mature state. We’ll depart this world in a consciousness of divine connection.

This is not about an escape from the world due to fear or despair but about a victorious departure, having exercised the powers of heaven on earth. The Lord is coming for a glorious Church without spot or wrinkle, one that has fully embraced and is demonstrating His divine life.

So, rise to this understanding and live with this consciousness. God is waiting for us to demonstrate what He has accomplished in us through Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

I’m filled with the fullness of God, with the totality of His divine essence, His very being. Christ in me is the hope of glory; I’m full of His power, wisdom and glory, and I walk in the consciousness of this truth. I live victoriously, fulfilling God’s purpose for my life. Amen.

THE DIVINE RECIPE FOR GOOD SUCCESS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 Meditate upon these things; give thyself wholly to them; that thy profiting may appear to all (1 Timothy 4:15).

In life, there’s success, and then there’s good success. Good success is God’s will for you, and it has a key recipe: meditating on the Word! God said in Joshua 1:8, "This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success."

The instruction is clear: keep the Word in your mouth, meditate on it constantly, so that you may act on it. This is the divine recipe for good success and prosperity. Notice that the scripture doesn’t say God will make your way prosperous; it says you will make your way prosperous as a result of doing the Word—acting on what you meditate upon day and night.

The Amplified Classic (AMPC) puts it this way: "This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success." The Word of God in your mouth and heart, coupled with consistent action, produces wisdom, prosperity and good success.

When I discovered this as a young teenager, it settled everything for me. I knew I was destined for success because I found the principle that produces it. I even declared to my classmates that I was going to be very successful. Why? I could see it in the Word. God already showed me what to do, and I was going to act on it.

At such a young age, I held "Success in Life Seminars,” teaching these principles to others. I had seen the truth in God's Word and I knew it worked. Even now, the principle remains the same: meditate on the Word; act on it, and good success, not just success, will be the inevitable result. Hallelujah!

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I thank you for the light of your Word that illuminates my path and teaches me the principles for a successful life. I make my way prosperous and deal wisely in all my affairs because your Word is in my heart and in my mouth always. Thank you for the assurance of good success in all I do, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

Proverbs 4:20-22; My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21. Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22. For they [are] life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh. ||

James 1:22-25; But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24. For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth [therein], he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed. ||

THE RECOGNITION OF HIS LORDSHIP
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).

In our previous study, we reviewed the fact that our authority as Christians comes from heaven. We rule from heaven. However, the foundation of exercising this authority is rooted in our faith and relationship with Jesus Christ. The Name of Jesus is central to our salvation and divine authority.

From the very moment you accepted Christ, the confession of His Lordship marked the beginning of your journey in Him. God’s people need to be taught and trained in the understanding of the Lordship of Jesus; He’s the Master of our lives. This means He has authority over your words, your thoughts, your choices and decisions, and every aspect of your existence.

The most beautiful thing about this is that His Lordship over your life is one of love. We’re the objects of His great love. We yield to the lordship of His love. The Bible says we love Him because He first loved us (1 John 4:19). It’s the reason we worship Him the way we do. It’s the reason we kneel to Him in adoration, not out of habit but out of reverence, submission and recognition of His lordship.

If you fail to recognize and address Him as Lord, then kneeling to Him becomes a mere ritual. You kneel because He is your Master, and you bow in reverence to His authority. You might say, “But though He’s my Lord, He’s also my friend.” That is true. Nevertheless, you must recognise, learn and submit to His Lordship and honour accordingly.

A true friend of the King honours the King with the highest regard. As a friend of Jesus, your reverence for Him should serve as a model for others to follow. You should honour Him even more. He’s the great King of glory, Lord over all, ruler of heaven and earth. He knows who He is; He’s so great, yet affectionately disposed towards us.

He said to His disciples, “If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another’s feet” (John 13:14). He taught us to be humble by the example of His own humility. He didn’t need titles to affirm His identity; His lordship is inherent. Honour Him with your life. Honour Him in your worship and your actions.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Lord Jesus, I acknowledge your lordship over my life. You are my Master, my King and the Lord over all. You alone are God and have immortality dwelling in unapproachable light. You’re the ruler of heaven and earth; I worship and adore you, and to you be all honour, glory, and everlasting power. Amen.

Philippians 2:9-11 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
10. That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;
11. And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

John 13:13-16; Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for [so] I am.
14. If I then, [your] Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet.
15. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.
16. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him.

WHEN THE HOLY GHOST PRAYS THROUGH YOU
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost (Jude 1:20).

Praying in the Spirit or praying in the Holy Ghost is twofold: there’s praying with your spirit, which is speaking in tongues, and praying through the power of the Holy Spirit. In our opening scripture, we’re instructed to pray through the power of the Holy Spirit. But in 1 Corinthians 14:14, Paul explains, “For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.” This refers to praying with your spirit, speaking in tongues, as a means of engaging with God on a deeper, spiritual level.

Then in Romans 8:26, we see another dimension of praying in the Spirit: “Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. This is not speaking in tongues. It is the Holy Ghost interceding for us with groanings, deep, heartfelt expressions that words cannot articulate.

Have you experienced moments when words fail, and instead, your spirit is burdened with groanings and deep sighs? These are times when the Holy Ghost takes over, interceding in your behalf. When this happens, continue in prayer until you have a release in your spirit.

This kind of prayer is so powerful. It allows the Holy Ghost to address situations beyond your understanding; it’s a divine strategy for living an ever-victorious life in Christ. Additionally, as you pray in tongues, the Bible says you can ask for the gift of interpretation. This doesn’t mean translating what you prayed but receiving insight into what you’re praying about.

However, when the Holy Ghost prays through you in groanings, you may not always know the details unless He reveals them to you. The power and the effect when the Spirit prays through us like that are incontrovertible; we invoke the power and dominion of heaven on earth, manifesting divine realities. It’s one of the reasons I love and enjoy to pray.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for the gift of the Spirit who helps me pray beyond my understanding. As I pray in tongues and through the power of the Holy Ghost, every limitation is removed, and I walk in continuous victory. Thank you for this divine strategy to live a life that is upward and forward only, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Ephesians 6:18; Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; ||

1 Corinthians 14:2; For he that speaketh in an [unknown] tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth [him]; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. ||

|| Romans 8:26-27 AMPC ; So too the [Holy] Spirit comes to our aid and bears us up in our weakness; for we do not know what prayer to offer nor how to offer it worthily as we ought, but the Spirit Himself goes to meet our supplication and pleads in our behalf with unspeakable yearnings and groanings too deep for utterance.
27. And He Who searches the hearts of men knows what is in the mind of the [Holy] Spirit [what His intent is], because the Spirit intercedes and pleads [before God] in behalf of the saints according to and in harmony with God’s will. ||

THINK LIKE IT ALL DEPENDS ON YOU
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel (1 Corinthians 9:16).

When it comes to the preaching of the Gospel in all the nations of the earth, you’ll have to approach it as though it depended on you alone to do it. That was the mentality Paul had and it’s worth emulating. When you have such a fire in your spirit, nothing can quench it. You’d say like Paul, “…necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!"

Paul recognized the weight of responsibility placed on him and was determined to take the message to the entire world. Your positioning, thinking and mentality have to be the same. Don’t have the idea that "Oh, there are so many Christians, churches and ministries around the world; I hope they’re going to do something for the full preaching of the Gospel.” Instead, ask yourself, "What am I going to do as an individual?"

Paul said, “According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust” (1 Timothy 1:11); he personalized it. Can God trust you to do the same? If He left the fulfilment of His vision to you, could you be trusted to get it done? This should get you to think differently about soul winning and how you intercede for those who haven’t yet known the Lord.

If you were the only Christian in your country, state, city, neighbourhood, etc., how would you function? What would you do differently? Would you continue at your current pace or rise to the challenge and do more? Be determined to make a far greater impact with the Gospel in your environment.

Don’t wait; make the decisions you need to make and act on them quickly. Set your priorities for soul winning and evangelism. So much might be vying for your attention, but you must place the Kingdom of God at the forefront of your life. Matthew 6:33, “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for the responsibility you have entrusted to me to preach the Gospel in my world. I refuse to be distracted or complacent. I make the Kingdom my utmost priority, ensuring that every moment, effort and resource is dedicated to fulfilling your vision. By your Spirit, I act with urgency and excellence, accomplishing all you’ve called me to do, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

20. [And] how I kept back nothing that was profitable [unto you], but have shewed you, and have taught you publickly, and from house to house,
21. Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
22. And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there:
23. Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me.
24. But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with joy, and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God. ||

HIS LIFE AND LIGHT IN YOU
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD

📖 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not (John 1:4-5).

Do you truly know what it means to have Christ in you? This is one of the most profound truths in the Word of God, and when you grasp its significance, it will revolutionize your entire outlook on life. Let me share with you both the spiritual and scientific implications of this extraordinary reality.

The reality of Christ in you is a profound truth that science struggles to define. Scientists cannot locate the essence of life within the human body. They can pinpoint the heart, the brain, and other organs, but the life-force itself remains elusive. Life—the very thing that animates every living being—is undetectable.

Now consider this: the life that scientists can’t find, the essence they can’t locate, the phenomenon they’re unable to explain, became flesh: “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us…” (John 1:14). Jesus Christ is eternal life encapsulated in human flesh; this is the greatest miracle to ever occur. Who is Christ? He is the divine essence, eternal life personified; the embodiment of life itself. He said, “...I am the way, the truth, and the life...” (John 14:6). When you have Christ, you have life, the very essence that sustains all creation.

Now let’s talk about light. Light is another phenomenon that challenges human understanding. It is difficult to describe light without referencing a greater light. In the presence of a stronger light, a lesser light fades into paltriness. For example, a candle light in the bright noon sun has no visible effect.

This brings us to what Saul of Tarsus experienced on the road to Damascus. He recounted that a light from heaven, brighter than the midday sun, shone around him (Acts 9:3). This was no ordinary light; it was the true light—Jesus Christ. Jesus said, “...I am the light of the world...” (John 8:12). This is the light that lights every man who comes into the world (John 1:9).

When He declared Himself as the light of the world, He wasn’t referring to a physical light but to a spiritual illumination that transcends all understanding. He is the source of all light, the essence that gives meaning and purpose to life.

To have Christ in you, therefore, means that the very life and light of God dwell in you. It means you carry within you the hope of glory, the power that sustains the universe, and the wisdom that confounds the world.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for the supernatural life you have given me in Christ. I am grateful for your life and light in my spirit. I stand firm in the truth of who I am in Christ; I walk in the consciousness of this truth, illuminating my world and bringing glory to you, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

SERVE GOD RIGHTLY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 For he that in these things serveth Christ is acceptable to God, and approved of men (Romans 14:18).

The Word of God shows us clearly what the message of Christ is and what your focus should be in serving the Lord. At the end of all things, what truly matters is what He thinks about your service in the Kingdom, not what others might think or say about you. His opinion is what truly counts. Is He pleased with your work?

It’s important to know that everything you’re doing is according to His will, purpose and desire. It’s not enough that you’re doing what you think or assume is right; it has to be what He wants and how He wants it. Recall what He said to Moses when he was about to build the Tabernacle, “…See…that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount” (Hebrews 8:5).

Follow the prescribed order as revealed in His Word. If you’re sincere, He’ll open your heart, mind and understanding to the Scriptures and show you how to serve Him and serve Him correctly. This is very important because even in the Scriptures, you’d observe certain individuals who walked closely with God but sometimes missed the mark.

For instance, the apostles initially thought the Gospel was only for the Jews and overlooked the salvation of the Gentiles (Acts 10-11). How could they have made such a significant mistake? But their correction came through the very Scriptures they thought they understood. This should be a profound lesson for us.

If the apostles could be wrong despite their knowledge, then we have to seek deeper understanding to ensure we align with God’s will. And thanks be unto God; He said, “...every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened” (Matthew 7:8). If you seek to serve Him rightly, He’ll show you from His Word how to do it the most excellent way.

Don’t serve Him as you choose; serve Him as He desires. The purpose of your service and the manner of your work and walk with Him should align with His will. Seek His thoughts, understand His desires, and walk in the light of His Word. The apostle Paul, in Romans 1:9, said, "For God is my witness, whom I serve with my spirit in the gospel of His Son...." That’s the way; it’s service in the Spirit, by the Spirit and through the Spirit.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for opening my heart and mind to your will. I serve you with my spirit, in the gospel of Jesus Christ, to live in intimate communion with you every day. EQUIPPING THE SAINTS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ (Ephesians 4:11-12).

The apostle Paul, in Ephesians 4, talks about the five-fold ministry gifts which are for the perfecting of the saints. What does it mean by “the perfecting of the saints?” It’s interesting to note that this does not imply making the saints better or more perfect. Saints are already perfect. It refers to equipping and bringing up the saints.

Consider this example: do children become more human as they grow? No! Every child is born perfectly human, just as their parents are. Children need to grow and be brought up, and this involves equipping them with knowledge and the requisite nourishment. Until they grow and are equipped with the right information, intelligence, and strength, they cannot fully engage in the activities that adult humans do, despite being already hundred per cent human.

In the same way, the perfecting of the saints involves helping them grow and be equipped for their purpose in the Body of Christ. There is a tendency for some Christians to resort to the ordinary way of life instead of living the transcendent life in Christ. Therefore, they need to be taught and reminded of who they are in Christ, and how they must live. This is the essence of the five-fold offices.

This is why for ministers of the Gospel, our work in the Gospel must be well understood. We’re first and foremost called to be saints; saints of God, members of the Body of Christ. But then God created a structure for His Church and appointed some into special ministry offices to assist in equipping the saints in carrying out the work of the ministry.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I pray that Christians everywhere will fully understand and fulfil their roles and responsibilities within the Body of Christ, being strengthened in the faith and encouraged by the Spirit and the Word to stand firm in their convictions of Christ, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

SPEAKING MYSTERIES IN THE SPIRIT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries (1 Corinthians 14:2).

Did you know that when you speak in tongues, you speak mysteries? These mysteries could be about your health, job, family, or even future decisions. However, these mysteries are not understood by the human mind. This is why the gift of interpretation of tongues is necessary. With the gift of interpretation, you can understand these mysteries and know exactly what you're saying.

Regrettably, many Christians haven’t fully grasped the power or essence of speaking in tongues and as a result, they see no need for interpretation of these mysteries. If you want to know something about your health, for instance, you can speak in tongues. When you do, you're speaking mysteries, and when you interpret those tongues, you will understand what the Spirit is revealing to you.

We're not supposed to be in the dark about anything in life. We speak mysteries, and the Holy Spirit helps us to interpret them. 1 Corinthians 2:6-11 says, “Howbeit we speak…the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory…For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.”

Why is this significant? It’s because when you speak in tongues with interpretation, it equals prophecy. So, we're either bringing forth the wisdom of God in mysteries through prophetic revelation, or it's coming to us in tongues that we can interpret. Is it about your school, an imminent trip, or about your children? Is it about your finances, your work, your business, or are you planning to move to a new home and want to know the will of God? Pray in tongues and you will speak forth the mysteries. You can know the will of God concerning various aspects of life by speaking in tongues.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I thank you for the blessing of speaking in tongues and uttering mysteries with the Holy Spirit granting me understanding of your divine will for my life. I receive supernatural wisdom for every situation and circumstance, and I declare that the power of the Spirit is at work in me, bringing about health, strength and prosperity, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

15. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. ||

1 Corinthians 2:6-11 NKJV However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing.
7. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden [wisdom] which God ordained before the ages for our glory,
8. which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

TRUST IN HIS GUIDANCE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go (Isaiah 48:17).

One of my most frequent declarations, even when I’m not consciously thinking about it is what David said in Psalm 23:3, “...he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.” I have learned to rely on the Lord's guidance, and to trust that wherever I am is exactly where I should be.

Consider what we read in our opening scripture; what an assurance! God is committed to your success, and He ensures you win all the time by giving you the guidance you need. Another scripture to ponder is Psalm 32:8; here, God says, “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” That’s His Word!

Then He adds, “…he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about” (Psalm 32:10). Be confident in this truth. Perhaps you’re in a situation where you need direction or the mercy of God; know that it isn’t far away from you. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.”

As you go out today, remember that His grace and mercy are with you, propelling you in the path that you should go. Trust in His unfailing love and mercy. Trust in His Word and acknowledge His presence in your life. Declare that you walk in the paths of righteousness, led by the Holy Spirit, and that His grace empowers you to live victoriously. Hallelujah!

STAY IN GRATITUDE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you (1 Thessalonians 5:18).

This verse, given by the Spirit through the apostle Paul, is one of the simplest, yet most profound instructions in the Word of God. He says, "In everything give thanks." This means, no matter what happens, stay in gratitude; maintain a grateful heart. Thanksgiving is God’s will for us in Christ Jesus. If you've ever said, "Lord, I want to do your will," here’s a straightforward way to do just that: give thanks in everything.

It sounds simple, but how well have you practised it? Thanksgiving is how you position yourself to see the manifestation of God’s power at work in your behalf. Depression, frustration and confusion have no place in the life of one who consistently gives thanks. When you understand the principle of thanksgiving, you'll never allow circumstances to dictate your joy.

Nothing can frustrate you when you’re always full of gratitude to the Lord. If you lose money, give thanks. If you lose your job, give thanks. If your car is stolen, give thanks. Before taking any step, give thanks. Why? Because this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus! Even if a contract you were awarded suddenly got revoked, give thanks because your source is not the contract or any human system. Your source is the Lord. When one door closes, it only means a bigger one is about to open.

Thanksgiving keeps your focus on God's sovereignty and provision, not on the challenges before you. So even if your business partners or associates tell you they can no longer fulfil their part of an agreement, respond with gratitude, knowing God has something greater in store for you.

Everyone who blesses you is in turn blessed by God. This means that when someone gives to you or does good for you, they position themselves for a blessing from God. Therefore, remain in thanksgiving and trust God to keep you in a state of perpetual abundance. No matter what you face, stay in gratitude, knowing that God's will for you is perfect and leads to glorious outcomes. Ephesians 5:20 says, “Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Hallelujah!

DEALING WISELY—A CRITICAL ASPECT OF SUCCESS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success (Joshua 1:8).

The Bible emphasizes the importance of dealing wisely, a principle that can change the trajectory of anyone’s life. This is something extraordinary that meditating on the Word does for you. The Amplified Classic version of our theme verse highlights this truth; it says through meditation, “...you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success” (Joshua 1:8 AMPC). This is a critical aspect of success.

The Bible recounts how David, while living in the house of Saul, behaved himself wisely: “David acted wisely in all his ways and succeeded, and the Lord was with him” (1 Samuel 18:14 AMPC). Despite Saul’s hostility and attempts to harm him, David behaved wisely and that set him apart and paved the way for his eventual rise to kingship.

Some people don't know how to behave wisely because they’re bereft of God’s Word. Now you can understand why the Bible says to allow the Word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom (Colossians 3:16). Then in 2 Timothy 3:15, it says the Scriptures are able to make you wise. You can choose to act wisely through consistent meditation on the Word.

You might find yourself in a place where others don’t appreciate you, yet you’re able to conduct yourself wisely and achieve success. The Word of God can make that happen for you. You can make your way ever prosperous, deal wisely, and have good success through the Word.

Once you grasp this truth, the complaints and limitations of others won’t matter to you. They are not factors to consider in your journey. The only constant is God, and the other factor is you. Take your times of meditation seriously. As you meditate on the Word, you’ll deal wisely and be successful in all your affairs.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for the wisdom and understanding your Word imparts to me. I act wisely in every situation, guided by your Word and the Spirit. I refuse to be deterred by hostility or challenges, for I know my success is certain. I make my way prosperous, deal and behave wisely, and I walk in good success continually, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

DIVINE COMPETENCE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God (2 Corinthians 3:5).

The Apostle Paul makes an important declaration in 2 Corinthians 3:5 that “...our sufficiency is of God.” The Greek word for sufficiency here is “hikanotēs,” which means competence or ability. This means, as a child of God, you’re divinely competent. Your ability comes from God, and recognizing this truth brings a transformation in the way you think and live.

In that scripture we see a principle of divine exchange: God has given us of His ability and competence so that we could function with the ability of God. The confession of the Word is a key part of this process. This divine competence and ability have been imparted to you. Therefore, you must keep saying it.Always affirm that the ability with which you function is of God.

Just knowing about it or reading about it is not enough. It’s your confession that endorses it and activates the reality in your life. So, every so often, you say, "My sufficiency is of God; I’m divinely competent, which means I can carry out any task or assignment excellently." You align yourself with God’s truth. This act allows God to work with you, guiding you by His Spirit to walk in the fullness of His divine power.

It’s also important to understand that while your confession immediately aligns you with God's truth, growth is a journey. You may not instantly function competently in all areas of life, but as you remain consistent in your confession and follow the leading of the Spirit, God will guide you on the right path. He’ll bring the right opportunities and experiences to help you develop fully in His divine competence.

📖 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for the divine competence and ability you have empowered me with. My ability is not of myself but from you; I’m therefore divinely empowered to succeed in all things. As I meditate on and confess your Word, I walk in the reality of my divine nature and fulfil all that you have called me to accomplish, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE POWER OF CORPORATE PRAYER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places (Ephesians 6:12).

Some years ago, there was a deliberate attempt by global powers, backed by demonic forces, to assert dominion over the cities, schools, and even the churches. It was an unprecedented global situation with the world shut down. There was a visible absence of life on the streets: the cars were gone, the pedestrians disappeared, and the freedom of normal life had been stripped away.

These evil forces showed no regard for human life, willing to sacrifice and manipulate in their pursuit of their agenda. But I knew the power of the Church—the Body of Christ—is far greater than any force they could muster. All we needed to do was to pray and praise God, and we did. We stood together in prayer and took decisive actions as we sought to reclaim our streets, cities and communities from the forces that were trying to exert control. And glory to God, we had the victory!

Why is this so important? When your local assembly or your church pastor calls for prayer and fasting, don’t ignore these calls; there’s a lot we can achieve together as the Body of Christ! We read of how the collective prayer of the church empowered them to boldly proclaim the message of Christ in Acts 4:31: “And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.”

We find another notable instance in Acts 12:5-16, where the church prayed earnestly for Peter while he was imprisoned. Their prayers were answered when an angel of the Lord miraculously freed him from prison. Hallelujah!

You should be excited every time you have the opportunity to pray with other Christians. At such times, we exercise the power of the Church as we take our stand and refuse to allow the enemy to take what belongs to us. Rather, we turn things around in the nations by declaring their restoration in the Name of Jesus.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for the power of communal prayer, and for the authority you've given us through Christ Jesus to stand against every principality and power of darkness. We resist every demonic agenda over the nations, through wars, kidnappings, killings and injustice; we speak life, restoration and victory over our cities and nations, declaring peace within our borders, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

PROVE HIM IN YOUR LIFE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me (Jeremiah 32:27).

As a child of God, never find yourself in situations of desperation or lack where you’re constrained to beg. Even in prayer, God doesn’t want you to beg Him; He has honoured you too much for that. Instead, take your rightful place as His heir. Embrace your position as a child of the monarch of the universe; honoured, dignified and glorified.

The challenge with some folks is that they think about the size of their problems instead of putting their focus on the Lord. What you need is to prove God in your life. Observe what He says in Malachi 3:10, “...prove me now herewith....” Prove Him and see; He’s not intimidated by the greatness of your need.

It reminds me of an encounter with a certain lady who was born with a blood condition. She had come to see me, and as she spoke, she described her “overwhelming” condition, how serious it had been and how it had defied all medical efforts. As I listened to her, I thought, “All it would take to change her life is a few seconds and a few words.”

Immediately, I said to her, “In the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ, you’re made whole,” and that was it; she was healed. A couple of weeks later, she did all the medical tests and there was no trace of the sickness in her body anymore. Trust God with your life. Do your part, and He will do His part. He’s more willing and enthusiastic for your success than you could ever be for yourself.

That’s why when you pray, don’t plead or act as though He’s reluctant to bless you. Jesus said in Matthew 7:11, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?” Simply exercise your faith, and trust in the Lord, for He loves you more than you love yourself, and He’s more than able to sustain you in the realm of superabundance. Prove Him in your life.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, I thank you for your Word, which assures me of your limitless power and abundant provisions. I trust you completely with my life, knowing that my needs are within your supply system. I declare boldly that I’m abundantly supplied, walking in the realms of superabundance, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE PRIMARY WAY FOR US TO PRAY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching there unto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:18).

Praying in the Spirit is the primary way for Christians to pray; it means praying in other tongues. When you pray in tongues, it’s your spirit praying, even though your understanding is unfruitful. Thus, the spiritual man prays first with the spirit and then with the understanding also.

Sadly, many reverse this order; they pray predominantly with their understanding and sparingly in tongues. That’s not going to work. Recall what we read in our opening scripture; it means there’re different kinds or forms of prayer. However, irrespective or alongside all these various types of prayers, you should pray in the Spirit, that is, pray in other tongues.

Think of this like a doctor’s prescription that says, “Take these tablets with every meal.” Now, breakfast, lunch and dinner are different meals, yet the tablets are a constant addition to each. Similarly, God says, with all types of prayer—be it the prayer of intercession, prayer of faith, prayer of worship, etc.—pray in the Spirit. Speak in tongues

The apostle Paul sheds light on this in 1 Corinthians 14:14-15: "For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also…." 1 Corinthians 14:2 says, “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries.”

Make this a priority in your life. Cultivate the habit of praying in tongues every day, and you’ll experience extraordinary victories in your life. Your spiritual walk will be transformed and you’ll always be steps ahead of trouble before they manifest. Plus that, your health will blossom supernaturally as your physical body is constantly vitalized and rejuvenated by doses of divine currents, through praying in the Spirit.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of prayer and the opportunity it gives us to invoke heaven’s blessings on earth. As I pray in the Spirit, my spirit is aligned with your divine purpose. Thank you for the victories I experience through this spiritual discipline, and for enabling me to fulfil my role as a watchman in your Kingdom, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

WE RULE FROM HEAVEN
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in judgment (Isaiah 32:1).

As Christians, though we’re in the world, we’re not of this world. Our kingdom is heavenly, and we reign and rule from there. No wonder He tells us to set our affection on things above, on heavenly realities (Colossians 3:2). Think from heaven. Live from heaven. Rule from heaven. Your authority is derived from God’s Kingdom, which is superior to all earthly powers.

This can be likened to the operation of a country’s military base stationed in a foreign land. Even though that military base is physically located outside its home country, it functions as an extension of its government, wielding the full authority and power of its homeland. Every action, directive, and purpose of the base reflects the instructions and vision of its home government.

Likewise, we’re ambassadors of Christ, functioning with the power and jurisdiction of our heavenly kingdom. Our presence in this world is a declaration of heaven’s rule, as we manifest God’s righteousness and judgment everywhere we are. 2 Corinthians 5:20 says, "Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God."

Walk in the consciousness of your heavenly identity, functioning as an extension of God’s Kingdom on earth. Establish His righteousness and judgment in your sphere of influence. Philippians 3:20 (AMPC) says, “But we are citizens of the state (commonwealth, homeland) which is in heaven....” As citizens of heaven, we extend God’s influence and dominion to the nations.

The beauty of this divine arrangement is that our identity and operations remain rooted in God’s Kingdom. Whatever we bind on earth is bound in heaven, and whatever we loose on earth is loosed in heaven (Matthew 18:18). Blessed be God.

SOMETIMES YOU NEED TO BE QUIET
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 And Joshua had commanded the people, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout (Joshua 6:10).

When God sent the children of Israel to bring down the walls of Jericho, He gave them the strategy. He said to them, “Go around Jericho once every day for seven days.” He also instructed them through Joshua to stay quiet. He didn’t want anyone doubting or asking, “Do you think these walls will fall down? They’re so thick!” No; He commanded absolute silence.

From the time they left their homes until they returned, they were to say nothing for the first six days as they marched round Jericho. On the seventh day, they were to go around the city seven times, and on the seventh lap, the priests were to blow the trumpet, and after that, everyone was to shout!

They did as God instructed, and though they hadn’t any equipment to bring down those walls, the walls fell down flat nevertheless. God instructed them to be quiet until the seventh day because He didn’t want them speaking unbelief that would nullify their faith. Sometimes, you need to be quiet. If you’re struggling to believe what God has said, don’t speak doubt. Instead, meditate on the Word, and build your faith.

This is one area where fasting is also very beneficial. Fasting will help you if you’re having difficulty believing something God has said to you. When you fast, pray, and study the Word, it’ll speed up the process of developing your faith for that situation. Hallelujah!

Dear Father, thank you for the strategies you give us to walk in victory. I declare that my heart is open to your Word, and I walk according to your instructions with faith and confidence. I walk by faith, not by sight. I build my faith and grow in your Word, making progress in every area of my life, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

BELIEVE AND ACT
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

The Bible tells us of two blind men who came to Jesus, crying out, “...Thou son of David, have mercy on us” (Matthew 9:27). Jesus didn’t respond to them immediately but waited until they followed Him to the house. Then the Lord asked them, “...Believe ye that I am able to do this?....” They responded, “...Yea, Lord” (Matthew 9:28). Then, the Bible records, He touched “...their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you. And their eyes were opened...” (Matthew 9:29-30).

Notice His question to the two blind men: “Believe ye that I am able to do this?” Their healing depended on their belief. Similarly, in Mark 9:22, a man brought his son to Jesus for healing and pleaded, “...If thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.” The Master responded, “...If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth” (Mark 9:23). The man thought the responsibility was entirely on Jesus, but Jesus showed him it was about his belief. The man replied, “...Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief” (Mark 9:24). Despite this mix of faith and doubt, the Lord had mercy on him and healed his son (Mark 9:25).

God is always willing to do anything for you. The requirement is your faith. It’s not enough to simply believe; you must act like you believe. Talk like you believe. Think like you believe. If you don’t think like you believe, you won’t talk like it, and if you don’t talk like it, you won’t act like it. God’s Word renews your mind and helps you think correctly, enabling you to live in alignment with your belief (Romans 12:2).

No matter how significant a project or assignment is, even if you’re convinced it’s authentic and from God, it won’t happen unless you believe it’s possible. Without belief, you won’t engage in what’s required to make it happen; instead, you’ll see it as a failed venture or a waste of resources. For example, you have to believe that the full preaching of the Gospel around the world is possible. The Bible says, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come” (Matthew 24:14). Without this belief, you won’t take the steps necessary to accomplish the task.

For the first time in history, we are in a world equipped with the technology and workforce needed to reach everyone. God’s people all over the world are ready—they’re prepared to go everywhere without restriction, and we are set to mobilize and deploy all that’s necessary. Believe it’s possible. Hallelujah!

🙏 P R A Y E R

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word that builds my faith and gives me the right mindset. I believe in the possibility of reaching the world with the Gospel in this time. I act, speak, and think with conviction; you’ve equipped me with all I need to bring your vision to fruition, knowing that all things are possible to him that believes. Thank you for empowering me to play my part in this divine mandate, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

REVERENT USE OF HIS NAME
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 No using the name of GOD, your God, in curses or silly banter; GOD won't put up with the irreverant use of his name (Exodus 20:7 MSG).

In the Old Testament, the Jews were instructed not to take the name of the Lord in vain. For example, Exodus 20:7 says, "...the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain." The Jews understood the greatness of God's Name to such an extent that they avoided pronouncing it altogether. Instead, they substituted it with "Adonai."

When scribes copying the Scriptures encountered the Name, they would pause, go wash themselves, and then proceed to write it. If the Name appeared multiple times, they would repeat the process for each instance. This level of reverence came from an awareness of God's greatness and majesty and the awe-inspiring deeds He wrought amongst their forefathers.

Contrast this with how casually many Christians use His Name today. People shout His Name while cutting a cake or use it as an exclamation in everyday speech without understanding its power or significance. This casual attitude toward the Name of Jesus reveals a deeper issue: a lack of knowledge of who He truly is.

When Jesus met the Samaritan woman at the well, He said, "Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews" (John 4:22). The Samaritans, being a mixed race with a history of idolatry, lacked a proper understanding of worship and reverence.

Sadly, this lack of understanding persists today. You must understand and live in the reality of the Lordship of Jesus. He’s not just great; He is greatness. Have this understanding when you worship Him. Address Him correctly.

After His resurrection, no one ever directly addressed Him simply as "Jesus." He was addressed as Lord, Lord Jesus, because His resurrection exalted Him to the place of supreme authority. When speaking about Him, we may say "Jesus," but when addressing Him, we must honour Him as Lord: “…who is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen” (1 Timothy 6:15-16).

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Lord Jesus, I honour and reverence your holy Name, for you’re the Undisputed Ruler, the King of kings and the Lord of lords, who alone has immortality, and lives in unapproachable light. A LIFE THAT WORKS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

There are truths in God’s Word that are so profound they shake the very foundations of conventional thinking. Yet, sometimes, these truths are not immediately embraced even by many within the Body of Christ. This is simply because the understanding and readiness to receive them are often hindered by traditions, limited knowledge, or fear of change.

For example, many years ago, I preached a message on “Eternal Life” and boldly declared from the Scriptures that the Christian is not supposed to get sick. It was a revelation so profound, yet so unconventional at the time. My ministerial colleagues tried to dissuade me from teaching the subject, presenting their reasoning and arguments. They thought it was a mistake for me to believe or teach such a thing.

I remember having to hide the tape of that message because of the backlash. But the more I meditated on the Word of God, the more convinced I was of the message. Even though I faced my own health challenges at the time, I chose to believe the Word over my experiences. I revisited that message two years later, and it became clear: I was right. The Word was right.

But I knew I had to go deeper. I needed to understand why my body was not yet reflecting this truth. So, I made a decision to focus on aligning my body and my experiences with the Word of God. It wasn’t an instant process. It took time, diligence, and unwavering faith. But I stayed with the Word. I meditated on it, spoke it, and applied it to my life daily.

And then, one day, something extraordinary happened. I knew beyond any shadow of a doubt that every fibre of my being, every bone of my body, and every cell of my blood was infused with the life of God. This revelation changed my life forever. Decades have come and gone, and I’ve never been sick again. Why? Because I discovered that I have eternal life.

Eternal life is tangible and real, and it works in every part of your being. It’s a life that cannot be dominated by sickness, weakness, or failure. It is the very essence of God working in your spirit, soul and body. Believe this truth. Hallelujah!

BE CONSCIOUS OF HIS ABUNDANT GRACE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ (Romans 5:17).

The grace of Jesus Christ is a divine resource that every Christian must consciously take advantage of. The apostle Paul, writing to Timothy, instructed him to “...be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus” (2 Timothy 2:1). In other words, take advantage of His grace. How do you take advantage of His grace? It starts with you being conscious of His grace at work in you.

As you step out of your home to work or to your other engagements, be fully aware that the grace of God is at work in you. This grace brings divine favour that works in your behalf, positions you for opportunities and ensures you stand out.

However, there’s a key principle to remember: to continually experience favour working in your life, you must also show favour to others. Grace is not a one-sided experience. A person who has received grace becomes a distributor of grace. A man or woman of favour distributes favour. In doing so, favour continually flows back to them.

The psalmist writes, “Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about” (Psalm 32:10). The word mercy here is from the Hebrew word “chêsêd,” which means covenant kindness. This covenant kindness is a special kind of kindness; it means God's divine favour that He cannot turn away from; as a result, He cannot but bless you.

Knowing this, therefore, what should your response be? Psalm 32:11 gives the answer: “Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart.” Hallelujah! Every so often, rejoice and shout for joy as your expressions of faith and gratitude for God’s abundant grace at work in your life. Rejoice in the Lord every day. Get into your closet and have your moment of joyful celebration before the Lord. Shout for joy and declare, “I am favoured of God! I walk in divine grace! His covenant kindness surrounds me!” Hallelujah!

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for your grace at work in me, which has positioned me for favours everywhere, opening doors of opportunity, and causing me to excel in all I do. I extend the same grace to others, walking in love, as I rejoice in your covenant kindness. Your mercy and favour surround me every day, in Jesus' Name. Amen.

SPIRIT-GUIDED PRAYER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful (1 Corinthians 14:14).

So much happens in the realm of the Spirit when we pray in tongues. So don’t take praying in tongues lightly. Be like Paul who was bold to say he prayed in tongues more than the entire Christians in the Corinthian church: “I thank my God, I speak with tongues more than ye all” (1 Corinthians 14:18).

When we pray in the Spirit, we’re often led to address specific situations, people, or circumstances that we may not be consciously aware of. The Spirit guides our prayers, aligning them with God's will and purpose. Additionally, praying in tongues empowers us to enforce the Father’s will on earth.

That’s what He wants; the Lord Jesus prayed in Matthew 6:10, “Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.” As we intercede in the Spirit, we become conduits of God's power, allowing His purpose to be fulfilled in our lives and that of others.

Furthermore, through praying in tongues, we keep the enemy at bay and frustrate his plans. Once, we were in a meeting that began on a particular Friday night and extended into the early hours of Saturday morning. As we were rounding off the meeting, I took the microphone for the closing prayer. But something unusual happened; I couldn’t stop speaking in tongues. Though I wanted to stop, the Holy Spirit led me to continue.

I kept on praying in tongues fervently and the brethren, recognizing this move of the Spirit, joined in, and together we prayed until I received a note of victory in my spirit. With joy and laughter in the spirit, I announced to the congregation, “In a day or two, it’ll be clear what we prayed about in other tongues.”

The revelation of what had transpired came to the fore two days later. A certain man had planned to bomb one of our TV stations, located on the eighth floor of a certain building. As he approached the floor, the bomb detonated in his hands before he could execute his nefarious plan. The explosion severed his hands, and he was rushed to the hospital where he confessed that his intention was to blow up the station.

This miraculous intervention occurred because we prayed in tongues. The Spirit of God moved through our prayers, dismantling the enemy’s plans. This is one of the reasons you should fervently and excitedly pray in other tongues always; it helps forfend danger amongst its other transcendent benefits.

🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for the blessing and privilege of praying in tongues and communing with you through the Spirit. I am empowered by your Word and the Spirit to stand in the gap, enforce your will, and bring your plans to fruition on earth. I pray with boldness and faith, knowing that my prayers avail much, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

HEAR AND HEED HIS WORD
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land (Isaiah 1:19).

The original Hebrew word for "obedient" in the verse above is “shâma,” which appears, specifically, 1,159 times in the Authorized Version. Notably, it is translated as "obedient" only eight times for contextual relevance. In fact, it is translated as "hear" 785 times and as "hearken" 169 times. The reason I emphasize this is that even in this instance, where the translators believed "obedient" would be the best presentation, it's not entirely accurate but still conveys a nice meaning.

The phrase "if ye be willing and obedient" essentially means “if you truly hear me.” This is why they chose "obedient"—it reflects the dynamics of asking a child, “Did you hear me?” This often occurs when an instruction hasn’t been followed. So, when you say, “If you hear what I’m telling you…,” it implies “If you heed what I’m telling you,” which translates to “If you obey what I’m telling you.”

The presentation of this verse in the Living Bible is quite remarkable; it says, “If you will only let me help you, if you will only obey, then I will make you rich.” What a statement! Can God truly do this, even in difficult situations? Can He do it in the slums, the impoverished neighbourhoods, or backsides of civilization? Can He do it for someone from your kind of family? Emphatically yes!

He says, “If you will only let me help you”; it’s as if He’s asking, “I want to help you; would you allow me to do so?” He emphasizes that if you hear Him, He will make you rich. This shows that God is not against you being rich. But what does it mean to be rich?

It signifies having super abundance—having so much more than you require that you can help others become rich as well. If you’re wealthy but can’t help others achieve wealth, then you’re not genuinely rich. So, accept His invitation to help you; hear and receive His Word. Follow the principles that He has laid out, and His blessings will be manifested in your life. Hallelujah!

THE WATCHMAN’S MANDATE

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.

📖 I have set watchmen upon thy walls, O Jerusalem, which shall never hold their peace day nor night: ye that make mention of the Lord, keep not silence, And give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth (Isaiah 62:6-7).

Notice something profound the Lord did for Israel as read in our opening scripture: He appointed watchmen over Jerusalem. These were intercessors, praying tirelessly for the fulfilment of God’s will. Their role was to persist in prayer until Jerusalem became a praise in the earth.

This is a striking picture of the spiritual responsibility we bear today as God’s people; we’re His king-priests. We’re watchmen—entrusted with the divine mandate to watch and pray. The Lord Jesus Himself emphasized this when He was with His disciples before His arrest. He took Peter, James and John and shared His heart with them, saying, “...My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me” (Matthew 26:38). He needed them to join Him in watching and praying, but they fell asleep.

When Jesus returned and found them sleeping, He said, “...could ye not watch with me one hour? Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation...” (Matthew 26:40-41). He expected them to be vigilant in prayer during such a crucial time, yet they were unavailable. This teaches us an important lesson: as watchmen, we must remain spiritually alert and persistent in prayer.

Isaiah 62:7 instructs us to “...give him no rest, till he establish, and till he make Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” Ezekiel 3:17 also highlights our responsibility as watchmen: “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.”

This is our office—we’re called to stand in the gap and intercede for the fulfilment of God’s purposes on earth. Hallelujah! So never be casual with your times of prayer. The Bible says to pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17). The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available, dynamic in its working (James 5:16).

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Dear Father, thank you for the privilege of being a watchman. I declare that my spiritual eyes are open, and I am vigilant in prayer, interceding for your will to be done here on earth. I’m strengthened to fulfil this responsibility faithfully, by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

📖 FURTHER STUDY:
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
1 Thessalonians 5:17 AMPC Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];

|| 1 Timothy 2:1-4 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, [and] giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2. For kings, and [for] all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3. For this [is] good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4. Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. ||

|| James 5:16-18 AMPC; Confess to one another therefore your faults (your slips, your false steps, your offenses, your sins) and pray [also] for one another, that you may be healed and restored [to a spiritual tone of mind and heart]. The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working].
17. Elijah was a human being with a nature such as we have [with feelings, affections, and a constitution like ours]; and he prayed earnestly for it not to rain, and no rain fell on the earth for three years and six months.
18. And [then] he prayed again and the heavens supplied rain and the land produced its crops [as usual]. ||
