ACCEPT GOD’S WORD AS TRUTH
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).
What a statement from the lips of the Master in our opening scripture above! Notice the profound but very simple instruction: “
Only believe.” He says ALL things are possible to you if you believe. What does it take to believe? It simply means to accept that what the Lord has said is true.
The Bible tells a beautiful story in Mark 5 that illustrates this. The Lord Jesus was approached by Jairus, a ruler of the synagogue whose daughter was gravely ill. Desperate for help, Jairus pleaded with the Lord to come and heal his daughter. On their way to Jairus’ house, messengers arrived to tell him his daughter had died.
But then the Bible says, "
As soon as Jesus heard the word that was spoken, he saith unto the ruler of the synagogue, Be not afraid, only believe" (Mark 5:36). When they arrived at Jairus' house, they found mourners already gathered. But the Lord Jesus took the girl’s hand and said, "...
Talitha cumi; which is, being interpreted, Damsel, I say unto thee, arise" (Mark 5:41). Immediately, the twelve-year-old stood up and began to walk around, and they were astonished.
Accept the Word of God as truth and act accordingly. That’s faith. Faith is not something you struggle with; it’s simply acting on the Word. That suddenly opens you to limitless possibilities, where anything and everything is possible unto you.

SEE FROM THE MOUNTAIN TOP
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth (Colossians 3:1-2).
The Word of God gives us clear instructions as to how to live, the mindset we should have, and what our outlook on life should be. Take for example what we just read in our opening scripture. The Lord is telling you to focus on heavenly things and not on earthly things. Have a mountain-top view.
It brings to mind something remarkable that the Lord told me many years ago; He said, “
Son, see from the mountaintop.” The interesting thing is, I didn’t even realize I was on the mountaintop until He told me. You see, it's not something you feel physically or emotionally.
I know that some Christians say they are “
journeying” and trying to get to the mountaintop. But being born again, you’re on the mountaintop. You’re risen with Christ; seated together with Him, far above principalities and powers. Therefore, see from there. Live from there. It’s the best view. Hallelujah!
From the mountaintop, you see things clearly. Your perspective is elevated. You’re above the distractions and limitations of the world. You see from a higher realm, the realm of the Spirit, where it's only victory, strength, health, prosperity and unending progress.
Ponder again what we read in Colossians 3:2, “
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” Your thoughts, desires, focus and devotion should be directed towards heavenly realities, not earthly distractions. Align your mind with the heavenly perspective and live victoriously every day.

THE CONSISTENCY OF JESUS CHRIST
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith, follow, considering the end of their conversation. Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:7-8).
What we read in our opening scripture above is quite profound. There’s a connection between verses 7 and 8 that many Bible translators didn’t grasp. This is due primarily to the lack of punctuation in the original Greek text.
The connection is straightforward when you study the passage in context. Both verses actually emphasize the consistency of the Lord Jesus Christ. The 8th verse, which says “
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever,” is not independent of the preceding verse 7.
What the Spirit is emphasizing in those verses is that the leaders who brought us God's Word had a way of life that demonstrated and bore testimony to the power and consistency of the Lord Jesus Christ; He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever. In other words, their faith produced results that reflected the unchanging nature of the Lord Jesus—His faithfulness, trustworthiness and glory— proving Him to be consistent. What He did back then, He’s able to do, and still does today.
Therefore, the instruction is clear: follow the faith of those who delivered God’s Word to you, considering the outcome of their lives, which is the revelation of Jesus Christ’s consistency and unchanging nature. No wonder James 1:17 describes Him as the Father of lights, with whom there’s no variableness, neither shadow of turning; no shadow of inconsistency with Him.
He said through the prophet in Malachi 3:6, “
For I am the LORD, I change not….” Today, it makes no difference where you are in your life or what you need; Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Trust Him with your life. Those who came ahead of us testified of His faithfulness and the infallibility and immutability of His Word. We have the same testimony; He never fails. Hallelujah!
🙏

FOCUS ON WHAT TRULY MATTERS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me (Luke 9:23).
To be a true success with the Lord, you must walk in His wisdom. It’s about putting Him first and letting His wisdom guide your every step. God’s Word is God’s wisdom. So, give more attention to the Word. “
Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom...” (Colossians 3:16).
Unfortunately, many people train themselves to major on the non-essentials because they don’t know what’s truly necessary. They invest their time and energy in things that don’t count for eternity. It brings to mind the story of two sisters, Martha and Mary, who each responded differently to the Lord Jesus’ visit to their home (Read Luke 10:38-42).
Martha was consumed with the numerous tasks required in hosting a guest, along with much anxiety and distraction. In contrast, Mary chose to sit at the Master's feet to absorb His teachings and engage in fellowship with Him, and the Lord commended her choice.
When Martha expressed her frustration, the Master gently replied: “
...Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her” (Luke 10:41-42). The Master pointed out that Martha’s priorities were misplaced.
You must prize the Word of God above all else because there’s so much you will never know or understand otherwise. Focus on what truly matters—your study and meditation on the Word and your fellowship with the Holy Spirit. It’ll keep you always on the path of ever-increasing glory, victory, success and prosperity, and you’ll live a life that truly pleases and honours the Lord.

FOLLOWING HIS DIVINE PLAN
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
Romans 8:29 says,
“For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate….” Predestination is at work in you. God has a divine plan for your life, and He has set events and their sequence in motion in line with His divine plan.
Consider John the Baptist, for example, whose entire ministry was for the sole purpose of making the Messiah known to Israel. God could have simply told John where to find Jesus, but John had to follow God's instructions and wait for the sign he was given: “
...Upon whom you see the Spirit descending, and remaining on Him, this is He who baptizes with the Holy Spirit” (John 1:33 NKJV).
Finally, Jesus stood before him, and John recognized Him (John 1:29-34). It unfolded precisely according to God’s divine plan. Consider, too, Samuel’s intriguing visit to anoint one of Jesse's sons as king (1 Samuel 16:1-13). Samuel thought he had found the Lord’s anointed when he saw Eliab, with his impressive stature. But God said, “
Not him, for I have rejected him” (1 Samuel 16:7). One by one, Jesse brought seven of his sons before Samuel, and each time God said, “
Not this one.” God could have simply told Samuel who to anoint, but He allowed the process to unfold step by step. Finally, Samuel asked Jesse, “
Are here all thy children?” Jesse admitted that there was still one more son, David, who was tending the sheep. When David was brought before Samuel, the Lord said, “.
..Arise, anoint him: for this is he” (1 Samuel 16:12). God's divine plan for David came to pass according to His preordained design.
God has a plan for your life and it’s a good one. He has predestined your life for His glory, and He knows exactly where you are in His divine plan. You don’t need to be in a hurry or get in a frenzy trying to fulfil His destiny for your life. He has all the events and their sequence planned out in line with His divine purpose.
Yours is to follow the path which He’s prearranged ahead of time. Ephesians 2:10 AMPC says, “
For we are God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live].”

STAY FOCUSED ON THE DIVINE MISSION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak (John 12:49).
The Lord Jesus was focused on His divine mission. He knew exactly what He came to do and was undistracted. He declared His purpose and remained committed to it: "
For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost" (Luke 19:10 NKJV).
Then in John 4:34 NKJV, He said, “…
My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work,” showing His deep commitment to completing the mission given to Him by the Father. But then in John 20:21, He said something remarkable, “…
as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.” Therefore, like Him, we must stay focused on the divine mission.
He said in Mark 16:15, “…
Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.” This is the divine mission. Matthew 24:14 says “
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.” Our mandate is to complete the full preaching of the Gospel in all nations this year; how focused are you on this?
Your accountability to the Lord would be on the basis of your participation in the Gospel. Anyone can say to you today, “
You're doing a great job,” but what truly matters is if you’re doing what the Lord said to do. Even in speech, the Lord Jesus set an example as seen in our theme verse. Every word He spoke was in alignment with the divine mission.
He said in John 8:29,
“I always do those things that please the Father.” We’re called to emulate Him in all things. Therefore, let your life mirror the Master in speech, action and commitment to the divine mission. Stay focused on fulfilling the mandate of the Gospel. Personalize the mandate and live every day with the consciousness that necessity is laid on you to preach the Gospel. Nothing in this world is more important than that.

CUSTODIANS OF A MESSAGE THAT WORKS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth... (Romans 1:16)._
The Gospel of Jesus Christ that we preach is a message that truly works. It’s a message that produces undeniable results for everyone who believes it. It’s the reason you must be quick and bold to share it with others.
I remember talking to a man who had a very severe heart condition. The doctors had diagnosed him with heart failure and said he needed a transplant. But as I shared the Gospel with him, I said, “
While I’m talking with you, there’ll be a change in your heart. All you have to do is believe what I’m telling you; just believe and give me a few minutes of your attention.” He agreed. So, I kept talking to him, sharing with him the words of life. After about 15 minutes, I said to him,
“It’s done.” And he replied, “
Yes; it’s done.” The next test conducted on him showed he had a new heart! All the troubles were gone. I’ve seen this happen several times. It doesn’t matter what the case is; this Gospel works. It’s the message of Jesus Christ, and it produces results everywhere. Glory to God!
When you carry a message that works, you’re confident. That’s why the Lord wants us to be confident of the Gospel. We can’t keep it to ourselves because it works. It truly works! The Bible says, _“
Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and forever”_ (Hebrews 13:8).
In Romans 1:16-17, Paul said, _“
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith...”_ (NKJV). The message has no borders. It works in every country, every city, and for everyone who believes. It transforms lives, brings healing and health to the sick, prosperity to the poor, and salvation to the lost.
How can we be quiet about such a message that transforms destinies and catapults men and women from despair to victory? Therefore, preach the Gospel boldly. The message works every time, everywhere, and for everyone who believes. Hallelujah!
🙏

HERALDS OF THE KINGDOM
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God (2 Corinthians 5:20).
The Lord Jesus entrusted us with the responsibility to preach the message of His Kingdom in all the nations of the world. In Matthew 28:19-20, He said, "
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen."He also said in Matthew 24:14, "
And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come." Who’s going to preach this message of the Kingdom in all the world for a witness unto all nations? It’s us! We’re ambassadors of the great Kingdom of God. We’re the harbingers and bearers of the message of the Kingdom. We have something to give and bless the world with—the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Apostle Paul’s mentality in 2 Corinthians 5:20 encapsulates this truth: “
Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's stead, be ye reconciled to God.” You speak in Christ’s stead, because you represent Him and His message. He told us to speak in His Name, as His representatives.
Therefore, wherever you are, Christ Himself is there. When people receive you, they receive Him, and they receive His blessings through you: "
He that receiveth you receiveth me, and he that receiveth me receiveth him that sent me" (Matthew 10:40). How glorious this is! Take your place as the ambassador of Christ, a legal representative of the Kingdom of God and bless your world.

CHRIST—THE SEED OF ABRAHAM & DAVID
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, and to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ (Galatians 3:16).
God’s Word is remarkably precise when it comes to prophecy. The promise made to Abraham was not a general promise to many descendants but a specific promise concerning one seed. In Genesis 22:17-18, God said to Abraham, “…
in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the seashore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his enemies; And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed....”Notice how God repeatedly used the singular form “
seed” and not “
seeds.” The Apostle Paul clarifies this in Galatians 3:16, stating that this singular “
seed” refers to Christ, emphasizing the accuracy of God’s Word and the fulfilment of His promise: “
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.” Through Jesus Christ, the nations of the earth have indeed been blessed with salvation, healing, and eternal life.
Furthermore, certain prophecies also reveal that the Messiah would be a descendant of David. Jeremiah 23:5 says, “
Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.” This prophetic word speaks of a righteous King from the lineage of David who would reign and establish justice in the earth.
Isaiah previously gave a similar prophecy with even more details when he prophesied by the Spirit, “
And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots: And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD; And shall make him of quick understanding in the fear of the LORD...” (Isaiah 11:1-3). Also, 2 Timothy 2:8 says, "
Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel."
This prophecy describes the nature and character of the Messiah—Jesus Christ. He’s indeed the fulfilment of the promises made to Abraham and to David the son of Jesse. He’s the Seed and the Righteous Branch who has come to establish God's Kingdom. Blessed be His Name forever!

THE PROPHETIC AFFIRMATION OF CHRIST’S DEITY ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14).
Hebrews 10:5-7 tells us something really remarkable about the Lord Jesus. It says, “
Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith… Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.” He came to fulfil prophecies. It’s remarkable to note that many of the prophecies concerning Him were given over 500 years before He was born in Bethlehem.
Despite the long span of time and the many different prophets through whom these prophetic words were given, the Lord Jesus alone fulfilled these prophecies. It’s impossible for one person to fulfil so many detailed and extraordinary prophecies unless He’s truly the One spoken of.
For example, the prophecies regarding the Virgin Birth; Isaiah 7:14 declares, “
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.” This prophecy was fulfilled as described in Matthew 1:22-23, after Jesus was born in Bethlehem: "
Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 'Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.'"
A prophecy of His place of Birth is found in Micah 5:2, and it says, “
But thou, Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” Again, we find the fulfilment of this prophecy in Matthew 2:1. It says, "
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem."
This confirms that Jesus, the Messiah, was indeed born in Bethlehem, as prophesied by Micah, despite the town's humble significance. But even more profound is the description of Him as One “
whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” This clearly speaks of His divine nature—He existed before time began.
Jesus was born exactly as the prophets foretold, in Bethlehem of Judah. No ordinary human being could be described as one “
whose goings forth has been from everlasting.” These and other prophecies in Scripture affirm His deity, demonstrating that He is Himself God who took on human form. Hallelujah!

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Matthew 1:18-23; Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
19. Then Joseph her husband, being a just [man], and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
20. But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
21. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
22. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying,
23. Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. ||

YOU’RE A RECONCILER
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 It was God [personally present] in Christ, reconciling and restoring the world to favor with Himself, not counting up and holding against [men] their trespasses [but cancelling them], and committing to us the message of reconciliation (of the restoration to favor) (2 Corinthians 5:19 AMPC).
In Luke 19:10, the Lord Jesus said, “
For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.” He accomplished this mission and returned to heaven, but He entrusted us with the same responsibility. Just as the Father sent Him, He also sent us: “...
as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you” (John 20:21). Now, we’re the ones to seek and save the lost. This is our calling; we’re soul winners, reconciling men to God.
In your city, think like this: “
The son of man has come to seek and to save those who are lost.” Everywhere you go, you arrive with this purpose. Whether on a bus, in an airplane, or in a marketplace, you’re there to seek and save the lost—to bring salvation to someone who needs it. This is your mission.
In 2 Corinthians 5:19, the Scripture says,
“To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.” This is powerful! God, the Chief Reconciler, was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. But He continues this work through you. Today, God is in you, reconciling the world to Himself.
And like Him, we don’t count people’s trespasses against them. We’re imitators of God; we copy Him as well-beloved children imitate their father (Ephesians 5:12). Furthermore, He has committed to us the word or message of reconciliation. Therefore, keep proclaiming the Good News of salvation, bringing men and women out of darkness into the glorious liberty of the children of God. Hallelujah!
🙏 P R A Y E R
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━Dear Father, thank you for entrusting me with the ministry of reconciliation; I walk in this calling, seeking and saving the lost, just as the Lord Jesus did. IT MATTERS TO GOD
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 And thou shalt make holy garments for Aaron thy brother for glory and for beauty (Exodus 28:2).
The Lord is wonderful; everything about Him drips glory, beauty, splendour, excellence, and imperial majesty. Consider the instruction He gave to Moses concerning Aaron’s garments—what the priest should wear to minister to Him—special garments for glory and for beauty. He didn’t want Aaron appearing before Him in tatters or like an ordinary man. He had to be excellently dressed.
Even those to make the garments had to be filled with the Spirit of wisdom; they had to be anointed: “
And thou shalt speak unto all that are wise hearted, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron's garments to consecrate him, that he may minister unto me in the priest's office” (Exodus 28:3). This tells us something about God: He cares about how you dress and what you wear. He also cares about who the “
designers” or tailors of your outfits are.
As a Christian, you can’t just wear anything designed by just anyone. You might ask, “
Does it really matter?” It sure does! It matters to God. Read again what He said to Moses about those to make the priest’s garment. You’re a priest; Revelation 1:6 says He has “…
made us kings and priests unto God and his Father….” So, ensure your tailors or designers aren’t those with antichrist tendencies who hate the Church. This is important if you must continue to patronize them. Read again what God said, “
And thou shall make holy garments for Aaron...” (Exodus 28:2). What does He mean by holy garments? It means consecrated garments. And it’ll take only those who are consecrated to produce something that’s consecrated.
Take this seriously; always dress decently and excellently, knowing that you represent God and His Kingdom. You may say, “
It’s the spirit that matters; I can wear what I like on my body.” Your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit; remember that. Yes, it’s the spirit that matters, but the spirit is clothed! Therefore, dress well. Dress neatly. Dressing decently doesn’t mean you must wear expensive things, for it doesn’t have to be expensive to be good, and that’s a fact.
🙏

YOUR DIVINE IDENTITY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such there is no law (Galatians 5:22-23).
In Luke 6:44, the Lord Jesus made this remarkable statement: “
For every tree is known by his own fruit. For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.” In other words, when you see a tree that produces oranges, you call it an orange tree, or mangoes, a mango tree, as the case may be. The tree is identified by the fruit it produces.
Now, let’s apply this to our opening scripture that talks about the fruits of the recreated human spirit. The first fruit listed is love. That means you’re a love tree, because you produce love fruit; love is a fruit of your spirit. Another fruit of your recreated spirit is joy; you produce joy fruit, and what does that make you? It means your name is Joy.
Then there’s peace; since you produce peace fruit, that means you’re Peace. Longsuffering means patience, so your name is Patience because patience is a fruit of your spirit. So, never say “
I’m not a very patient person.” You’re patient. Gentleness is another fruit; so, your name is Gentleness.
Also, goodness; your name is Goodness. Then there’s faith, meekness, and temperance. These are all fruits of your spirit; they describe who you are. Praise God! Furthermore, Ephesians 1:17 shows another beautiful description of your divine identity by referring to our heavenly Father as
“…the Father of glory...." If your Father is the Father of Glory, then who are you? It means your name is Glory. You’re the glory of God. Blessed be God!

PRESENTING JESUS CHRIST ALIVE
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever (Hebrews 13:8).
When I began holding crusades many years ago, my focus was to present Jesus Christ alive to the people. Hence the posters or handbills would read, “
Presenting Jesus Christ Alive” in so and so village, town, or city, naming wherever it was. I presented Him alive because, as far as I was concerned, Jesus Christ was the same as He was in Bible days, and alive.
Even today, all over the world, in our books, our messages and teachings, the purpose is the same: to present Jesus Christ alive, proving His unchanging nature and power. In those early years, we held campmeetings annually. In one of those years, the theme of the camp meeting was “
Beyond The Written Pages.”
Yes, the Lord Jesus in His power, glory, dominion and grace lives beyond the written pages. He’s alive today, blessing and transforming lives as He did in Bible days. Christianity transcends mere words on paper. It’s about presenting Jesus Christ alive to the nations and peoples of the world, beyond history and prophecy.
We must take this message beyond our immediate borders, to reach the farthest regions, to the ends of the earth. This has to be your mindset now more than ever. The real Church can’t be stagnant or static; the real Church must be dynamic. It must continually reach beyond borders, presenting Jesus Christ alive, relevant and as Lord in a postmodern world. Hallelujah!
🙏

Dear Father, thank you for the consistency of your vision and the revelation of Jesus Christ alive today. I’m taking the message beyond borders, presenting the living Christ to my world and beyond. THE UNITY OF THE FAITH
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ (Ephesians 4:13).
There's a level of maturity that the Church of Jesus Christ all over the world is expected to come to before the Rapture of the Church. This doesn’t mean every individual will become mature overnight, because we’re still winning souls. Therefore, there’ll be baby Christians, and it’ll take time to train and raise them in the Word.
But God's people are growing, becoming more aware and more united in the faith. This will continue until such a time that there’ll be unity in the spirit. What unifies God’s people in this manner is the knowledge of the Word and the ministry of the Holy Spirit.
What the opening scripture tells us isn’t something to be achieved in heaven but here on earth. Notice it says, “
Till we all come...,” not just some of us but the whole Church moving in unity. Even the babes in Christ who don’t know much are expected to follow the guidance of those who have walked with the Lord longer.
That's why Paul could confidently say, "
Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1). He said, "
Copy me," because he was following the Master. It’s like living in a city with a high level of enlightenment; even if someone never went to school, he or she would be cultured likewise by simply being in that environment. In Christ, we all live in God’s spiritual city: “
But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels” (Hebrews 12:22).
We all are involved in this maturing of the Body of Christ: learning the Word, following the Lord's guidance, and helping others to grow in Him until we, the Church, arrive at that place of maturity and unbroken unity that the Word describes. Ensure to play your role.
🙏

UNDERSTANDING THE FATHER'S HEART
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them... (Luke 9:56).
In praying to effect changes, especially in your town, city or nation, a clear understanding of the Word and insight into the mind of God is important. For example, consider a scenario where a group of Christians in a city or nation are praying in agreement that they don’t want a particular government official. Meanwhile, there’re other Christians who work with that same leader who may be praying every day for the leader to succeed and remain in office.
While those declaring a change may be justified, God also considers the prayers of His children who are standing in faith for that leader. It reveals something about the nature of God—His fatherly nature. You may expect Him to act in a certain way and He doesn’t. It’s because He thinks differently. His actions are governed by His love, mercy, and purpose.
Consider the case of James and John in Luke 9:54-56. They were offended by those who did not plan adequately to receive the Lord Jesus and asked, “
...Lord, wilt thou that we command fire to come down from heaven, and consume them, even as Elias did?” (Luke 9:54). But Jesus rebuked them, saying, “..
.Ye know not what manner of spirit ye are of. For the Son of man is not come to destroy men's lives, but to save them...” (Luke 9:55-56).The Master demonstrated the Father’s heart of love and mercy throughout His ministry. He understood His purpose and remained committed to fulfilling it according to the will of the Father. God's nature is consistent. He is merciful and loving. He operates as wisdom, always seeking to save and to bring His children into alignment with His divine purpose.
Understanding this helps us appreciate why God may not always act the way we expect Him to, even when we think our desires are justified. As you give yourself to the Word and the guidance of His Spirit, you will increasingly know and walk in His perfect will and plan in every situation and be able to pray effectively with direction and precision.

TRUE AUTHORITY LIES WITH GOD AND HIS CHURCH
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 And whereas they commanded to leave the stump of the tree roots; thy kingdom shall be sure unto thee, after that thou shalt have known that the heavens do rule (Daniel 4:26).
The Bible, in Daniel 4, tells of how Nebuchadnezzar had a dream that troubled him deeply. In this dream, he saw a magnificent tree that grew tall and strong, providing shelter and food for all living creatures. However, an angelic being ordered that the tree be cut down, leaving only a stump bound with iron and bronze. This dream perplexed the king, and he consulted Daniel, a prophet of God, to interpret it.
Daniel revealed that the tree was the king himself, and he would be humbled for his pride until he acknowledged that "...
the heavens do rule" (Daniel 4:26). A year later, being yet unrepentant, Nebuchadnezzar was struck with madness; for seven years, he lived like an animal, eating grass and roaming the fields.
According to Daniel 4:17, this decree came from the "
watchers": "This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men."
The "watchers" here refer to angelic beings assigned to oversee matters on earth with authority to enforce God's will.
Nebuchadnezzar thought he ruled the world until he was compelled to acknowledge the rulership of the heavens. It’s the same today. Those who falsely claim absolute authority over others, operating under the delusion that their influence gives them control over the nations, don’t realize that true authority lies with God and His heavenly Kingdom. All power belongs to the Lord, and He executes His judgements on earth through the Church: “
And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18).
We enforce God’s will in our world: “
All this energy issues from Christ: God raised him from death and set him on a throne in deep heaven, in charge of running the universe, everything from galaxies to governments, no name and no power exempt from his rule. And not just for the time being, but forever. He is in charge of it all, has the final word on everything. At the center of all this, Christ rules the church. The church, you see, is not peripheral to the world; the world is peripheral to the church. The church is Christ's body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence” (Ephesians 1:20-23 MSG). Hallelujah!
🙏

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly… (Colossians 3:16).
If the Lord Jesus were to stand in front of you, how would you react or respond? It may surprise you to know that you’re unlikely to do any of the things you’re probably imagining right now that you’d do. That’s because, in the spirit realm, we respond from our spirits.
Therefore, if Jesus were to stand in front of you right now, you're going to respond from your spirit, because He’d be appearing to your spirit, and the condition of your spirit is what will be revealed. Consider when Saul (who later became Paul) encountered the Lord Jesus. The Master spoke from heaven to him, and he, falling to the ground and blinded by the glory of the Lord’s radiance, responded by asking, “...
Who art thou, Lord?...” (Acts 9:5).
Imagine such a great and mighty voice spoke to him, and all he could say was, “
Who are you?” That’s because that was the personality of Saul’s spirit at the time; he was still rowdy, injurious to the Church. That’s who he was. And when the Lord replied, “..
.I am Jesus whom thou persecutest…” (Acts 9:5), He was relating with the condition of Saul’s spirit.
Later on, the Lord Jesus appeared to him again and told him He would send him far away to the Gentiles, explaining that the people in Jerusalem wouldn’t receive his testimony. Saul argued with the Lord Jesus, insisting that the people knew who he was prior to his conversion, and as a result, they’d believe him. Saul was responding to the Lord based on the condition of his legalistic spirit at the time.
So the question is: What’s your spirit like? Who are you on the inside? That’s what will manifest in your words and in your actions. It’s not about the emotional or superficial reactions of the flesh. Even your emotions are often a result of the condition of your spirit.
It’s one of the reasons you must constantly educate and condition your spirit with the Word of God. When you allow the Word of God to dwell in you richly as it says in Colossians 3:16, your spirit will be rightly conditioned to receive divine guidance, be a sure guide, express the Christ-life, and manifest Kingdom realities. Hallelujah!

THE CHURCH HAS THE DOMINION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 Yet when we are among the full-grown (spiritually mature Christians who are ripe in understanding), we do impart a [higher] wisdom (the knowledge of the divine plan previously hidden); but it is indeed not a wisdom of this present age or of this world nor of the leaders and rulers of this age, who are being brought to nothing and are doomed to pass away (1 Corinthians 2:6 AMPC).
The rulers of this age are being brought to nothing, and this isn’t something that God is doing from heaven. Rather, it’s happening through us, through the authority He’s given to the Church. We’re His battle axe and weapons of war, enforcing His will on earth with the authority vested in us.
Therefore, when you talk about the evil forces of this world, the principalities of darkness and their works, affirm what the Word says about them: "
they are brought to nothing." The greater One lives in you and His authority is supreme over all the powers of this world. We’re in the Church age and the Church has the dominion.
The Lord Jesus gave us the authority; He said in Matthew 28:18-20, “
…All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”We’ve been empowered by the One who has all power in heaven and in the earth. So, in His Name, we tame situations, discipline circumstances and enforce the will of God in the earth. Our words are by the Spirit of God; therefore, they prevail in the lives of men and in the nations of the earth. Blessed be God! The Church will continue to reign gloriously, exercising dominion over the adversary and his works until the Rapture. Isaiah 9:7 says, “
Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Hallelujah!

OUR JUSTIFICATION
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification (Romans 4:24-25).
Did you know that when Jesus was raised from the dead, you were raised together with Him? He wasn’t raised alone. We were in Him. Ephesians 2:5-6 says God “
…quickened us together with Christ…and hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”Notice that it says "
God quickened us together with Christ”; that means we came alive with Christ. Just as we were in Him in His death on the Cross and when He was buried, we were also in Him when He was raised back to life. When He was raised back to life, He was born again; He was a new man.
We, therefore, being raised together with Him, came alive as new creations in Christ Jesus: “
Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life” (Romans 6:4). You’re not the man that was condemned in sin; you’re a new creation in Christ Jesus.
Now you can understand why you’re justified by faith; why you’re declared not guilty. It’s not because Jesus died for you; that’s the legal aspect of justification. Our justification didn’t come because He died for us. His death for us was enough to set us free, but that’s not justification. Justification is about acquittal; you’re acquitted because you’re a new creature, without a past.
Therefore, our justification is the result of the life of Christ in us. That’s the life of the new creation; it’s without sin. It also helps you understand why the Bible says you’re to walk in newness of life (Romans 6:4), putting on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness (Ephesians 4:24).

A SPECIAL RIGHTEOUSNESS FROM GOD
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe… (Romans 3:21-22).
Hebrews 9:11-15 tells us something remarkable about our Lord Jesus Christ. In verses thirteen to fourteen, it contradistinguishes between the blood of animals that were killed for the atonement of sins in the Old Testament and the blood of Jesus Christ. It says, “For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:13-14).
It continues in the 15th verse, “And for this cause he is the mediator of the New Testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance." In other words, for all the errors that were committed under the Old Testament, the blood of Jesus was also for their purification. Even though bulls and goats were slain for them year after year, it covered but didn’t take away their sins. But the blood of Jesus washed away all sins. Hallelujah!
No wonder Paul says in Romans 3:21-22 that a righteousness from God has been revealed. This new and special kind of righteousness is given in Christ. Not even Abraham had this special righteousness, even though righteousness was imputed to him. The Bible says, “
For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness” (Romans 4:3).
The righteousness that we have been given in Christ Jesus is much more. Romans 5:1 says, “
Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” What does it mean to be justified? It means to be declared not guilty. This is much more than being forgiven or our sins being wiped away. Rather, it means we never sinned. We couldn’t be charged with sin because of what Jesus accomplished for us.
The Bible says it was just (righteous) for God to do this: “T
o declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus” (Romans 3:26). This special righteousness from God is by the faith of Jesus Christ; it’s the result of His death, burial, and resurrection. And according to Romans 3:22, it’s for everyone and upon everyone who believes in His finished works. Hallelujah!
🙏

BE HEAVEN-CONSCIOUS
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, To the general assembly and church of the first born, which are written in heaven… (Hebrews 12:22-23).
I remember an old song we sang back in the day, “
There’s no night there, there’s no night there, hallelujah! There’s no night there! For Jesus is the Light in the heavenly city bright, hallelujah, there’s no night there!” When we sang that song years ago, we were thinking about heaven, and that’s important because the Bible says, “
… every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure” (1 John 3:3).
You’ve got to think about heaven; otherwise, everything you’re doing in the world is worthless. But we already belong in that city, which the old songwriter referred to as the “
heavenly city bright”; it’s called Zion, the city of the great King. We’re citizens of that bright heavenly city. The night refers to the darkness, but we’re children of the day. Being born of God, you were born into the everlasting day; no more night in your life. Glory to God!
The Bible says, “
…the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day” (Proverbs 4:18). The darkness is gone. The light has come. Darkness refers to everything sinister, evil, depraved, and of Satan. But light refers to God and all that’s good and the divine provisions of Christ in His Gospel.
No wonder the Bible says, “
Ye are all the children of light, and the children of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness” (1 Thessalonians 5:5). Let these thoughts fill your heart as you anticipate the Lord’s soon return. Be excited. Be expectant. And as the Scripture says, “
Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth” (Colossians 3:2).
But you know, to be truly heaven-conscious, and to be of heaven’s use and a blessing to the world, you have to preach the Gospel. Therefore, always share Christ’s love with others and tell them about this bright heavenly city into which everyone who confesses and receives Jesus as Lord is born—the city of everlasting light.

THE PROFUNDITY OF HIS AUTHORITY
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Dsc. Dsc. DD.
📖 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues (Mark 16:17).
How wonderful this is; the Lord Jesus gave us authority over all devils. He also gave us the power of attorney, the legal right, to use His Name, to act in His behalf. In other words, even if you gave your life to Christ just this morning, you have the legal right, the authority to cast out devils in the Name of Jesus.
Notice again the words of the Master, “
And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils...” (Mark 16:17). It’s the first thing He said we could do in His Name. And He didn’t say it was for some select few, like the evangelists, prophets and pastors only, no; it’s everyone who believes. You can act on that Word right now and have results.
An important question to ask would be, how much power do you wield when you’re given the power of attorney? How much force can you exercise? How much authority do you really have? It depends on the one who gave you that power of attorney; how much power does Jesus have? In Matthew 28:18, Jesus said, “…
All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” This is extraordinary! He didn’t say “
Some power is given unto me”; rather, He said ALL power! Then, the most awe-inspiring part is that He said, “
…in heaven and in earth” (Matthew 28:18). This means every angel is subject to Jesus. Every demon is subject to Jesus. Everything in life, living and nonliving—systems, structures, processes, kingdoms, thrones, governments, etc.—are subject to the authority of Jesus.
The Apostle Paul very succinctly describes the profundity of Christ’s authority and His delegated power to the Church in Ephesians 1:20-23 MSG. It says, “
The church is Christ’s body, in which he speaks and acts, by which he fills everything with his presence.” Blessed be God!
